THE GREAT PUPPY RESCUE WORLD: Traverse Town REWARD: 100 Munny WORKERS: 2 - 3 JOB: Pongo has lost three of his puppies, and is worried about their getting hurt, so he is looking for anyone that can bring his pups back to him unharmed.
------ It had been a long day of playing with his puppies. With no way of returning to their own world Pongo was still stuck here in Traverse Town. He smiled lightly as he turned to look at his children following him as they were out for their walk. Despite being on this world this old dog didn't mind he had his mate, and his puppies and so long as he was with them he knew things would be alright. That afternoon he and his mate had taken their puppies out for a walk wanting to get them some oversize and let them have fun outside the house for awhile. Though his mate had taken them most back to the house for some rest Pongo had stayed behind with a few that still wanted to have some fun.Though with the sun setting as fast as it was he knew it was time to get back before those dark creatures came back again. There had always been many to pop out and night and Pongo worried about the safety of his family.
After a few minutes of walking they were finally back home, the father watching as his puppies went in their home one by one. As usual counting each one passing by him, "!6, 17, 18-19, 20....." wait that number wasn't right. He looked around going around the corner to see if he could find the last 3. But nothing, he looked up into the sky as day turned to night. This wasn't good at all. He thought about the puppies he had and now knew just who was missing with a slight sigh. It was Lucky, Rolly, and Cadpig, why did those three always have to get into trouble. He went into the house to see the safety of his other puppies first before locking the door and heading out to try and find his last three. He wouldn't allow them to be separated again.
[ ooc: Sorry it took so long and that it ain't very well never been good with opening post xD Anyways this mission is more Chocobo, Kairi, and Namine lets have some fun shall we =3 ]

Chocobo liked cities. They were big, and they lit up at night, sometimes so bright that it seemed like a second day. Of course, that sometimes led to trouble when it came time to go to sleep, but for the most part it was tolerable. Suffice it to say, his time as a treasure hunter had turned Chocobo into a bit of a city bird.
He had just come from the store (restaurants had a large selection, but none of them seemed to carry anything with Gysahl Greens in them.) and was happily trotting down the street, his dinner in his saddlebag and an obscure tune in his head that he only partially remembered. As he turned the corner, he knew that something was wrong. It only took a quick inspection to find out what was bugging him; a dog was searching for something, and apparently upset about whatever it was he was missing. Chocobo tilted his head. He was compelled, like he often was, to drop what he was doing and try and help. After all, the treasure hunter was often on good terms with dogs. They were nice, most of the time, and they were often his greatest sources of information. That and cats, when he could figure out what they were saying (in his experience, cats had the strangest accent).
And so, Chocobo trotted over to the spotted dog and let out a hearty "Kweh!" He tried to fix the dog with a concerned glance, as if to say: "Hey, bud. Something wrong? I can help you out if you need it."

Naminé was sitting on one of the benches right below the walkway for the hotel in District 2 of Traverse Town. She was waiting for Kairi. Something in her told her that her other half was about to come to this town, that is if she didn’t get sidetracked. The Memory Witch really wanted to see a familiar face. She didn’t mind meeting new people it was just that she was beginning to doubt that the people from her past were still alive…even if she could still sense their presence. The witch in white shook her head at the thought that the people she “cared for” might not be around anymore. That just couldn’t be true.
Naminé’s intense blue eyes searched up the road toward the Gizmo Shop and the surrounding streets above her, but there was still no sign of the pink haired princess of heart. The little Nobody sighed and decided to pass the time by doing what she does best…..draw. The little girl took her sketchbook from her side and opened it. “Hmmm what should I draw?” She thought. She looked up towards the furthest alley way for some inspiration. Just then, a dog appeared from the street nearest the Gizmo Shop. The Memory Witch stood up at the site of the Dalmatian. The dog was sniffing around as if it were looking for something. The Nobody started to make her way over the animal when a large yellow bird, about the size of Donald Duck, came around the corner.
Naminé had never seen anything like it before. The bird caught site of the dog and walked over to him. The female Nobody decided to stay put and watch. This yellow animal had a look of concern on his face for the 4 legged animal. “Maybe they know each other.” The human-ish girl thought. She started back towards the bench when the bird let out Kwehing sound. The noise made Naminé jump and turn back around. She let out a giggle at the noise but quickly fell silent when she saw that the pup looked rather worried. The witch of memories didn’t think that the bird was the one worrying the dog. If it had been the yellow creature the Dalmatian would have taken off by now.
Naminé went over to the two animals slowly so she wouldn’t scare them. When she reached them she got down on her knees in front of the dog and reached out to pet him. She want slowly just in case he decided he was going to snap at her. The little girl patted the dog on the head and smiled gently at him. “Hello there doggy. My name is Naminé. Are you lost?” The little girl in white said in the typical way that someone would talk to a cute animal as she reached for the red caller with a dog tag. “P-ONG-O. Pongo? Why does that name sound familiar?” Then it hit her. She had read that name in Sora’s journal. She was pretty sure that Pongo was the name of the dog that Sora knew. She got up off her knees and started to look around again to see if she could spot Kairi. Her other self should be able to tell if this Pongo was the same animal that was friends with the Keyblader. Unfortunately Kairi was nowhere to be found yet. Naminé then turned her attention to the bird. “And who are you?” She said in the same baby voice she was talking to the dog in. She gave the bird a gentle smile not really expecting him to talk back. Naminé just stood there smiling at the two animals. She had no idea what to do next. Her gentle smile became a nervous smile. “Well this is awkward.” She said

[OOC: Even afters extension Kairi has yet to post so this turn she shall be skipped for now, she has one last chance to join in her next post, also its Perdita with the blue collar not Pongo xD )
Pongo sniffed about the District looking for any clue he could get to where his kids were, though since they had all been playing around this district during the day the old dog was finding it a bit difficult to due to all the mixed sents from all his kids. This was going to take awhile that was for sure. As he continued to sniff a new sent entered his nose as another came close, wide eyes looked at the giant.... chicken? Well this really was a random encounter. As it kawed at him, asking about what was wrong, the dog sighed slightly not wanting to bother any about his problems, but to find his kids. He was about to speak until he saw one of the humans come close and kneel down, seeming to want to pet him. Just to show that he was friendly and meant no harm he allowed the petting as well as allowed her to check his collar. Saying nothing when she commented about his being lost. Pongo just shaking his head, though he knew he couldn't communicate with the pet maybe the over sized chicken could understand him.
"A few of my puppies have run off," he barked like any other dog in the world, having no real way of speaking any other language. "Sadly at this time many black creatures come out at night, and I worry for their safety, will you help me look," he continued his barking, ending with a begging whine hoping at least the chicken could understand. Chocobo chirped in concern. He had only heard rumors about the black creatures that had been spreading through the worlds, but by all reports they were extremely dangerous. Apparently, they looked a little bit like the shades of monsters Chocobo once fought when he had the Brooch in Lostime. Just thinking about puppies lost and vulnerable when monsters like that could be around... This was not the time to be worrying about the greens in his saddlebag. Chocobo nodded and chirped, as if to say: "Don't you worry, friend. Finding things that are seemingly lost happens to be my specialty! I'll happily help you find your puppies."
He then turned to the girl. Something about her reminded him of his old friend Shirma. He could feel the same kind of warmth and kindness, even if she was not able to see him as an intelligent being like Shirma could easily do. Her perception aside, it struck Chocobo that he could probably appeal to her kindness if she could be made to understand what was happening. With puppies on the line, he could only try and hope.
"Kw-kweeeh!" He made a gesture of urgency. "Something really bad's happened. We need your help," he seemed to say, putting a wing up as if to shield his eyes from the sun as he pantomimed someone scanning the horizon ("We're looking for something. Do you think you can help?") He tried to drive the urgency home once more with a chirp. Of course, times like this made him wish he could speak Human...

{OCC: *facepalm* Tehehe it just hit me a day after I posted that I placed the wrong color collar on Pongo XD I kept meaning to fix it but kept forgetting It is fixed now though. Sorry about that}Naminé watched as the two animals seemed to be having a conversation with one another. The experience was a lot like listening to two people who spoke in a different language then yourself. It was very awkward for the young girl. It was clear that the dog was worried but the Nobody had no idea why or what she could possibly due to help. There she was just standing there with a dog and an oversized bird, in the middle of an alley, at night…. yup nothing odd about that. Naminé started to look around again just to give her something to do while the two animals continued their language of barks and kwehs. There was still no sign of Kairi but the memory witch knew that the princess blader and herself would meet again eventually. The female Nobody was just about to look up at the Gizmo Shop when the yellow bird caught her eye. He was looking at her! Naminé took a half step back as the gaze caught her by surprise. However, the bird’s eyes were gently and warm and the young girl resumed her original distance from the animals. The dog seemed to be crying and the girl in white looked in to it sad eyes. Something inside the girl swelled up as she longed to understand what was going on. Then, the yellow bird let out a loud and urgent kweh that made Naminé jump and turn her attention back on the feathery friend. It was shielding it eyes as if was trying to say that it was searching for something. Naminé looked at the bird and then at the dog and then back at the bird. She blinked as the yellow feathery guy played a game of charades to get her to understand. “So you are searching for something to help this dog?” The girl in white asked as she gestured to the Dalmatian. “And it is clearly of top priority.” Naminé thought for a moment. Then she looked at the pair and asked, “What are you looking for?” The moment that the words left her lips it hit her! If this was the Pongo that Sora knew; then she recalled that the dog has 99 puppies not include him and the mother! The thought that all 99 pups might be missing made the Nobody sweat the prospect of finding them all. “Did you lose some of your pups?” She asked Pongo. “I can try to help you to find them if you wish. What do you say to retracing your steps? If you can show us where you have been then we can scour the general vicinity. Your puppies couldn’t have gotten too far.” She smiled. Her smile turned in to a worried frown when the realization of lost puppies settled in. Lost Puppies, plus night time, plus Heartless, equaled big trouble. Now she understood why it was critical that the puppies were found as soon as possible. Naminé placed her hand on her sketchbook as the other hand went for the pencil that was lying behind her ear. These two items were her only weapons right now. This wasn’t going to be easy. She wasn’t use to dealing with the Heartless directly and she had only been in on battle before. Thing would be so much easier if they had a Keyblader with them. Naminé cast her eyes downward to hide her worries from the two animals. They had to find the puppies before the Heartless did no matter what! “Well, Pongo, what should we do? Should we split up to find the pups or retrace your steps from today? Or does someone else have any ideas?” Naminé asked her two new companions.

{OOC: -hides- I am so, so, so sorry it's taken me this long to reply! >< Things got busy all of a sudden and it took me off guard for a bit. I promise I won't let it get this late again! And forgive the short/awkward post as well, because I'm falling asleep at the computer and my essays sort of drained me. }Kairi had long ago learned to follow her heart, to chase after the echoes of chance and possibilities as they rang across the worlds. To here and there they took her, and after some time the Princess had finally resolved to simply believing in herself. Thus, when she found herself in Traverse Town yet again, she hardly questioned the turn of events. Besides, as she strolled from District One into District Two -- keeping an eye out for Heartless as well, of course -- she almost felt like something was pulling her in a certain direction; her feet seemed to know exactly where to go while Princess herself had no idea. A part of her felt as if she were on her way to meet someone, a friend or foe of hers from some time ago, someone she hadn't seen for a while. The possibility brought a small smile to Kairi's lips, and she was unafraid of the seemingly inevitable. As she continued walking, Kairi was proud that she still remembered certain areas of the world. For example, looking down the road the Princess knew she was nearing the hotel, meaning the Gizmo Shop wasn't far at all. The night was quiet, and she debated on humming some sort of tune or allowing the silence to continue. Suddenly, a loud unidentifiable noise echoed through the night, startling the Princess. She stood still, oceanic eyes blinking in confusion before they scanned her surroundings for the cause of such an odd noise. Silence. Kairi held her ground, watching the shadows around her as she waited for her heart to cease racing. "Kw-kweeeh!"There it was again! Kairi chose to keep her Keyblade hidden until she was positive the situation required, not wanting to attract any unwanted attention from whatever had caused such a noise. She ran in the direction of the sound to investigate. Turning the corner, her gaze fell first upon a rather large bird, then a dalmatian, and finally a familiar head of blonde hair. She paused at the sight. "Is that you, Naminé?" She asked, even though she knew the girl in the white dress was indeed her Nobody. Her lips were curled up into a smile as she was absolutely delighted to see the other girl again. Not nearly as fast as her run from before, Kairi made her way down the road to the three; the closer she came, the more familiar the dalmatian seemed. Quickly, she flipped through her memories, trying to match the face to a name. For the moment, she was unsuccessful. "Is everything alright?" She asked the entire group, her oceanic eyes sliding from one companion to the next. "I heard your call," she said, her gaze pausing on the bird.

[OOC: Tis fine Kairi we all have our troubles with getting online ^_^ )
The dalmatian gave the large bird a nod of his head as a thanks to him for helping him out. He had a feeling he was going to need all the help he could get because the later it got the chances of heartless rose even higher. He had tried fighting them before with no luck when it came to protecting his family but there was so little he could do. He just hoped that these two would be able to help him. Black eyes watched as the bird seemed to try and explain to the pet what had happen shaking his head slightly at the difficulties in communication, oh their odd ways of speaking. If only they could speak dog it would be so much easier.
Though thankfully it seemed that she was understanding, a smile spread wide when she had guessed about his puppies. Well what do you know she did understand somewhat. He barked as an indication that she was right. Alright now that they had a small team it was time to get to work on finding Lucky and the others. Looking up at the sky he realized that he shouldn't be wasting more time. When the yellow haired pet ask about what to do he just barked, "We much hurry together now," he had replied not entirely sure if she understood or not lowering his head as he began sniffing the ground as he took note of yet another pet to come by. The new one seeming to know the blond one which was good because maybe she could explain the situation to her as he sniffed for his puppies sent. Eyes widening lightly as he pulled back from the ground thinking he might have found it. He backed loudly several times, motioning his head for the group to follow as he headed for the ally that lead to the 3rd district. Though as he entered the small alley the dalmatian began to growl as he sensed something wrong. It wasn't long before 5 soldier heatless appeared, the grown dog barking at them as a threat. Oh, good. More help. A basic rule of treasure hunting was that one could never have enough eyes looking for things. There was something about the two girls, though. Chocobo could have sworn they had almost the same... smell, was probably the best word. Sisters, maybe? They looked like they could be twins. Chocobo did not know too much about human siblings; his only real contact was with a few of the kids in Lostime. Somehow, the two of them reminded him of one pair of mismatched siblings in particular...
He shook his head. Now was not the time to be dredging up memories! With a nod, he was following the dalmatian. He peeked around trash cans and under ledges, all his senses ever alert for those subtle signs that something was moving, other than his fellow searchers. He was also on the look out for dog collars. Normally, the things he tracked didn't move, and if they did it often meant trouble for him, but applying treasure hunting knowledge to a search posse wasn't all that difficult. You just needed a sharp eye and some sturdy talons. Especially if...
Pongo's growl pulled Chocobo out of treasure hunting mode. He stared straight ahead as portals of darkness opened spitting out Heartless. "Kweeh!" Chocobo recoiled at the sight, but quickly regained his composure. He darted to the head of the group and chirped resolutely. Having no idea if anyone in the group was capable of fighting, he decided he was going to do what he normally did; protect everyone unless they proved otherwise. He charged forward, leaping to kick at the first Soldier he could reach with the most powerful kick he could muster. ((Used "Chocobo Kick," 1 Post Cooldown))

Naminé’s head snapped around when she heard a familiar voice call out her name. I huge grin spread across her face as she watched Kairi make her way over to the group with an equally huge grin. The young witch saw that the young princess’s eyes fell upon the dog in the group and could almost see the wheels in her head turning as she tried to piece the memories of the Dalmatian’s face. It was then that the girl in white realized that this was not going to be the time to really talk to her other half in the way that she wanted to. The event of catching up would have to wait for another time. Right now the most important thing was to find those puppies.
When Kairi had asked about everything being alright Naminé casted her eyes downward and shook her head no. The witch could feel the bird watching the two young girls and of course, like any worried father, Pongo had started to sniff around for the pups. “Pongo here has lost his puppies.” Naminé made a hand gesture towards the dog. “This big yellow bird and I were just about to help him try to find them. The bird and the dog don’t talk but they are pretty easy to read. Will you help us? It is dark and the little fellows are all alone. They could get hurt with all the Heartless running around. So how about it, will you lend us your blade?”
The dog started to head to the 3rd district and the big yellow bird fallowed. Naminé saw that she was being left behind and dashed to the bird’s side. As she was about to enter the alley way she heard the dog begin to growl. The witches blue eyes looked at the bird as it enter the alley and then let out a loud Kweh. The chirp made Naminé jump and go dashing into the alley as well. There 5 Soldier Heartless materialized. The bird ran ahead of the group to protect everyone. The witch watched as the yellow feather friend lunged at one of the Heartless with a kick. The girl in white stepped in between Pongo and the other Heartless. “Please, just leave us alone?” She pleaded in a soft voice. She grabbed a hold of her sketchbook and flipped it to the page where she had drawn the 4 Dusk type Nobodies. She concentrated on the page and with a snap of her fingers the 4 Dusk came out of the Corridors of Darkness. It was almost like they had come to life right from the sketchbook. The Dusk raced to the witch’s side. As she pointed to the Heartless, the Dusks took to the ground and slithered over to the Soldiers. One group of two Dusks took on one Heartless as they slashed at it with their razor sharp fingers. The other group of two took on a different Heartless of their own. They would weave through the soldier’s legs to try to trip him up. The two would come up every once in awhile when they were close enough to the Heartless back to deliver a spine shattering wheel kick to the Heartless’s back. Naminé still remand in front of Pongp just in case the Heartless came after him. She was prepared to take a blow for the Dalmatian. Better her then him.
((Used- Dusk: Up to 4 Dusks come to my aid per battle. Attack: Hitting enemies by slithering between their legs Defense: taking the hit for Namine so no bodily damage is inflicted on her. Pongo's head perked up as he watched as the over grown bird came to his aid when the heartless appered. Eyes couldn't help but be surprised as it delivered a powerful kick at one of the heartless. Huh who knew chickens could be so strong. The center heartless that had been kick flew back a few feet before landing to the floor, seeming still for a moment before it seemed to get right back on it's feet. And it wasn't long before it countered as it ran forward, slashing it's claws at the bird. The dog knew that the bird couldn't handle them alone and was about to help until the blond pet got in his way. A confused look came to him when she took out her sketch book, Just what could that do? the dog couldn't help but wonder until he saw the results. He watched as several white creatures come from the book that she had held. The first pair of nobodies seemed to catch the first heartless off guard as it was quickly destroyed by the nobodies' duo attack. The other however was more prepared as it moved and jumped to avoid getting hit, one of the dusk's attack manage to hit it from behind but it wasn't enough to desultory it. Another of it's fellow heartless quickly coming as he sent multiple slashes at one of the dusk. (2 heartless down 3 to go)

Naminé watched as her Nobodies went after their targets and the bird kicked at its own heartless foe. The yellow creature seemed to know how to fight which came as a relief to the memory witch. She turned her attention back to her Dusks just in time to see that the one pair was successful in their attack. The two Dusks were on her way back to their master to wait further commands. Unfortunately the other two Dusks failed at their attack. The one white creature managed to get one attack in but it wasn’t enough. Another one of the heartless came after the pair of Dusks with a series of its own slashes. The one Dusk had no time to turn around when a powerful slash came at its back. The Nobody disappeared.
The partner of defeated Dusk leaped after the heartless that killed its partner but Naminé called for it to come back to her. She wanted the Dusks to regroup back near her before sending them out again. All three Dusks obeyed and warped to her side. The memory witch didn’t want to use her stronger powers on such weak heartless so she sent her three Nobodies to take on the remaining three heartless. They went after their new targets, one Dusk to one heartless, at a break necking speed. The slashed their opponents with such aggression that if anything else got in the way they could be hurt. Naminé looked at the Dalmatian. “Look around here for your puppies.” She acted out what she said. “It is possible that these creatures are here because they zoned in on the hearts of the lost dogs. But be careful if one of the heartless gets away from my Nobodies you might have to keep them at bay until one of us can get to you.” The memory looked around to see if Kairi was around, However it seemed as if the princess got caught up somewhere else. “Oh well. We can catch up later.” The girl in white thought to herself as she turned her attention back to her summoned Nobodies.
(Stats: One Dusk down. Three more Dusks left
Dusk: Up to 4 Dusks come to my aid per battle. Attack: Hitting enemies by slithering between their legs Defense: taking the hit for Namine so no bodily damage is inflicted on her. (ooc: Forgive the delay haven't been feeling well all week even now kinda bleh ><; but at least the mission is almost over)
The heartless ran forward as the nobodies went in for the attack, the three that were left trying to hold their own against the white puppets, however stood very little chance against the nobodies at the head on attack. The dog smiled at this, giving a bark as he was grateful that the white creatures the female pet had summoned were able to keep them safe. Hopefully the creatures could keep protecting them as they looked for his children. Once the heartless were taken out Pongo took another moment to take a sniff for his kids before his head perked up with wide eyes. That sent!
Pongo quickly turned around and began barking at Naminé and the chicken, telling them that he has picked up on his kid's scent finally before turning and running deeper into the ally until they retched district 3. Arriving at the top of the stairs as he looked around quickly for his kids. Three small barks could be heard as Pongo looked down. There his kids were all of them barking at the 5 shadows that were surrounding them.
Growling and barking as his kids were now under attack Pongo ran to action as he quickly jump down the steps before going in between the heartless and his children, Growling at them with his teeth blaring as he was ready to defend his kids with all he had.
