The crowd erupted into it's usual deafening euphoria upon the beginning of the second round to the Confused Memories Cup; a sequel to a first round more explosive than a nuclear arsenal. As he had anticipated, Seifer had advanced to the next round; his previous opponent having suffered a barrage of glass explode into his face, which had instantly ended the match. Seifer waited patiently in the lobby once again, this time contemplating whom his next opponent was to be, and the fate of the man in the suit. As he found out, the guy hadn't been nearly as good of a martial artist like chicken wuss, and when he laid on the ground clutching his face, while Seifer provoked the crowd with a raise of Hyperion, the former Sorceress Knight knew well enough that they weren't on the same level by far.
After a few more moments of waiting, the small goat man with bad ideas on numerical value approached the board, and took the time to climb a small ladder so he could post the second round's participants upon the brackets. A small smirk escaped Seifer's features as he caught glimpse of his opponent's name; the same guy who had downed that impossibly powerful silver haired man. So he was fighting another hand to hand combatant? A sigh escaped Seifer as he pushed off the wall, feeling slightly agitated that Hyperion wasn't getting enough steel to sate his own satisfaction, but regardless it made no real problems for Almasy. As he made his way down the dark tunnel once more, he heard his name called out yet again, followed shortly by the name of his opponent for the second round. 'Villiers eh? What kind of name was that anyway?' he thought to himself, stepping out into the light of the evening torches.
Seifer quickly drew Hyperion as the crowd erupted into cheering at the sight of him, clearly impressed by his efforts against his last opponent. Oh they certainly had the right idea to cheer on someone so awesome, so at least in Seifer's opinion, the people of this world were doing something right. Eventually moments passed, and blue-green eyes caught glimpse of Snow as he made his entry. The appearance of this man was intriguing, yet somewhat aggravating as the man sported blond locks, a black beanie, and a long white coat. It highly reminded him of himself to a certain extent, especially every time he had looked in a mirror back in Twilight Town. Who the hell was this guy? A wannabe SeeD? A chuckle escaped Seifer as he continued to observe the man upon his approach, keeping Hyperion at his side for the time being.
"I'll admit, you did good against the pretty boy, but man do you lose points for originality. I hope you're not fond of that coat, because I'm going to tear you apart!" he declared, raising the blackened gunblade to point it towards Snow's face, despite the fact that he stood a good five feet away from him. His traditional stance didn't call for close quarters, for Seifer was best known in Garden for his ability to close such distances with haste, much like Leonhart. Oh if only Squall could see him now, Almasy was sure that the other man bearing a scar across his forehead would surely be envious. Here he was in the second round of the biggest tournament held in a while, and Leon was nowhere to be seen in the lists. As disappointing as it was that he wouldn't get the chance to humiliate his rival before all these people, berating and defeating this pretender and his white coat seemed a suitable consolation.

Having advanced to the next round, Snow silently stood against the wall with his huge arms crossed over his chest. Snow was happy that he was advancing...however, he couldn't help but to think about the match he had with the silver-haired warrior. The fight, especially how it all ended, bugged Snow immensely. Snow and the platinum-haired man were in a heated fight, with neither side giving an inch. Snow used an energy attack and gave his opponent a huge punch to his chest. This threw his opponent back. After that his opponent got up and brushed himself off and just...flew away. Snow had won by default. Snow just didn't understand why his opponent didn't continue the fight. Snow wondered if the guy was a true warrior at heart and just got bored from that fight. That had to be it; Snow just knew that the man he was facing was so much more powerful than he was showing during their match. Of course, Snow didn't use his full strength either at the beginning of the fight...no one does. However, there seemed to be a lot of depth in his opponent when it came to power. Snow had to face him again...he just had to. He wanted to know how strong his opponent truly was. The level of his strength ate at Snow as the burly blond waited for the announcement of his match.
Snow looked up ahead at a chart with some writing on it. With curiousity eating at him, he walked over to see what it was. It was, of course, the tournament tree. Snow, of course, didn't notice it, since he was late to his first match. He looked at the listing of his first match and found his opponent's name to be Sephiroth. Snow would have to remember that, and he didn't see himself passively forgetting either... His opponent was a unique one, indeed. He then looked up to the listing of what was going to be his next match. His opponent's name was Seifer Almasy. Once he heard his match being announced, Snow headed toward the platform where he was to fight Seifer. He went through the tunnel and out to the platform where he was to fight. The crowd cheered but it was around the same level as the last cheer that they gave Snow when he was about to face Sephiroth. Snow knew very well that he still had to earn these peoples' respect...and Snow had no problem with that. Snow walked up to see a man...with a sword. It would seem that everyone had a weapon except for Snow himself, but that was fine with him. He examined his opponent. He had blond hair like Snow. He had somewhat of a white or beige trenchcoat...like Snow. His inside top was blue...like Snow. Snow couldn't believe it, a happy smile crept upon his face. Snow felt like he was fighting himself with a sword. It would seem that Snow will get to see what he would look like if he ever carried a blade in his hand.
However, Snow was taken back a little by what his opponent said next. Seifer said that he watched his fight with Sephiroth and he did pretty well...but then he said that Snow was basically copying off of him. He even said that he was going to rip Snow and his coat apart. Snow couldn't help but chuckle...however when he pointed his weapon at Snow...it became a little serious. Snow just didn't get it, these matches weren't fights to the death...so why was everyone taking the tournament seriously? Snow shrugged, deciding that he didn't really want to know.
"Well, it's too bad that you don't like my outfit...because I sure do like yours.", Snow said with a smile.
Snow then let his arms settle to his sides and he clenched his fists. His jacket began to glow gold and the strength boosting emblem patches of the Wild Bear began to appear on the back of his coat. Snow then pounded his fists together and then he got into his battle stance. Snow figured that he would play the same game that he did with Sephiroth and that was to make him play his own game. However, Seifer's sword was not at all as long as Sephiroth so maybe he could play a little "keep away" to keep Seifer guessing. Snow then kept his battle stance but slowly walked closely to Seifer, attempting to close the distance between them.
"Alright then...let's have a good fight and give these people a good show!", Snow said with a smirk.

The response to his heated taunt took Seifer by surprise, though it could not be determined on his expression, as the Knight simply continued to smirk at Villiers until the man finished his words. The crowd began to chant for the beginning of the match to start, growing in intensity as the awaited moment in time steadily approached. Almasy let out a laugh in response to Snow's proposal, then gave him an approving smile as he slashed the air once with Hyperion in gesture. Whoever this guy was, regardless of his attire, he was a man who responded highly to the people, for it was for their entertainment and benefit that he intended to give it his all. A hero for the innocent; this was certainly someone he could relate to, and one he could stand on an even level with. This sole statement and the way Snow sought to carry himself told Seifer a lot, and someone who sacrificed their own well being for the people was admirable in his opinion. That wasn't to say that Seifer intended to go easy on this guy.
"Now you're talking!" responded Seifer, returning his poise to that of his signature stance. It was then that the gong was struck, sending it's order to start the match out into the depths of the Coliseum. At that very moment Seifer burst into a sprint toward his white coated opponent, throwing sand up into the air behind every step taken. As he neared Snow's personal space, Almasy dipped down onto his knees, and slid past the man on the ground to his right, stopping in a crouch behind him. As he quickly rose to a stand, Seifer lunged forward to make a diagonal slash from Snow's right shoulder to his left hip. Immediately after the cut was attempted, he thrust his free hand out to show the man's back his palm, then unleashed a powerful Fira spell. The heated magic traveled fast, and at the sight of magic the crowd erupted into a deafening frenzy of cheering. Would this round prove to be much more exciting than Seifer's last fight? The Knight surely hoped this man wasn't lying when he said he'd give it all, because if he didn't, then Seifer would find himself standing over another bleeding loser. Abilities Used ~~~~~~~~~~ Fira - a powerful fire spell cast from Seifer's hand, cocooning it in flame before he throws it as his intended target(s) to inflict moderate damage. 2 post cool down.

Snow kept a smirk on his face as his opponent seemed to be impressed by the reply that Snow gave him. His opponent let out a laugh and gave somewhat of a happy smile. Snow may have kept his game face on but he was glad that he was able to get his opponent to loosen up. This tournament was made to see who was the strongest. However, Snow felt, more than anything, that this tournament was meant to be fun and exciting...for both the fighters and the spectators. Snow's smirk was literally forced into a smile upon hearing Seifer's reply. It was then that he got into his fighting stance with his sword pointed at Snow. The gong rang...and now...the fight was on. As soon as the gong rang, Seifer came at the burly blond with great speed. Snow kept his eyes on him however. Snow stopped his slow advance and waited for Seifer to make a move. Snow figured that he was going to go for a frontal attack which would be bad, considering that was what Snow was good at. Snow figured that this particular opponent was going to move a lot and besides since Snow's game was all about keeping his opponent in front of him...Snow figured that he should work to never let Seifer see his back.
Snow was about to set his mind up to be ready for a frontal attack when Seifer moved off to the side, sliding right past him. Snow widened his eyes at the sudden move. He turned around with his point of view following Seifer while he was on the move. Seifer made an attempt to attack him with his sword but Snow used his strong legs to make a moderate leap away from his opponent. While he was in the air, his opponent launched a fire attack. This guy sure was a fast striker. Snow gritted his teeth, knowing full well that he had better stop the attack. Snow's white L'Cie brand began to glow light blue. He then put his hands forward and launched a Waterga attack. A gigantic geyser of water shut up from the ground in front of Snow; effectively putting down the fire attack that was launched at him. Snow, at this point, landed on his feet. Snow kept his game face and he opened up his two palms and energy began to gather in his two palms. Snow decided to use the attack Ruin, which was an energy ball attack which also exploded upon contact with any surface. He threw one of the orbs but kept the second one in his hand. Snow ran toward Seifer, following the first orb that he threw at Seifer. Snow then stopped a few feet away from Seifer and and made a medium high leap. He then threw the second orb at Seifer, hoping that this move will catch him off balance.
Powers Used: Waterga: (3 post cooldown) Ruin: (1 post cooldown)

Seifer has not posted for more than three days and is therefore disqualified. Snow V. will proceed to the next round by default.
