In the town of Port Royal, the place would be covered by the darkness of night. There would be a light breeze blowing through the town and rustling the leaves on the trees. In the sky, there would be a small flash before an armored person would fly down on a strange looking before before landing on one of the docks at port. There would be a flash of light before the young boy Ventus would be standing on the dock looking at the ocean. Looking out at sea, he couldn't help but think of Aqua and Terra, hoping to see them once more.
Ventus had a calling, a feeling if one will, that he was needed at this place for some reason, though he didn't know what. He would put the thought out of his mind for now, and walk about town until what needed to be done here started and finished. Heading through the town, Ventus soon came to realize that there was little point in being around town in the middle of the night. Most if not all people that lived here were in doors, with most of the noise in the area either coming from the wind or the nearby pub.
Heading down towards the water, Ventus would stand at the beach and once again stare out at the water. It kind of reminded him of his brief visit to Destiny Islands, but this sea had a completely different feel. He would then walk along the shoreline with his hands behind his head, unable to shake the feeling that something was about to happen. "I know something's going to start or someone's going to show up, I just don't know who or what. I wonder if it'll be Terra or Aqua."

The task at hand was insanely difficult for the former apprentice of Eraqus to undertake. His self-given mission was simple: gain the trust of the warriors of darkness so that he could gain their aide in taking on the Masked Man who’d dominated Stroud so easily. He’d already fought side-by-side with Kadaj in a victorious battle against some old kook and Master Xehanort. Now, he stood, perched atop a small building, looking out towards the docking bay wondering what to do now.
This was no simple task at all. Terra wanted to actually take this world to the darkness so that he could possibly gain a few more allies in his ongoing fight against the mysterious entity that plagued his every dream and nightmare. On the other hand, Terra’s eyes caught the young Ventus standing on the shores of Port Royal. What the hell was he supposed to do now?!
The short walk to the beach seemed to drag on as Terra’s mind played a figurative tug-of-war with one side wishing he would ally with Ventus and another side knowing he’d end up betraying his ‘little brother’ of sorts. At least Aqua wasn’t with him, the bronze keyblader was certain he wouldn’t be able to betray them both and see the sorrow on their faces as he struck Ventus down.
As he finally got within speaking distance of the young keyblader the moon began to show as a single ray of moonlight highlighted Terra’s appearance as if he were standing in a spotlight. Terra immediately drained himself of any emotions and let the darkness side of him win the tug-of-war raging inside of him. The keybearer quickly blinked and opened his eyes as they took on a copper color, signifying that he’d let the darkness take over for today.
Wait! What if Terra could convince Ventus to leave the world before any of the fighting could begin? That would make the task at hand a billion times easier. Terra readied himself as he finally began to speak to one of his closest friends.
”Ven, go home, it’s not safe now. This world’s about to be turned to darkness, and I don’t want you being hurt in the crossfire. Leave now before the fighting begins.” [/b] He hated it, but Terra knew he had to use his every resource in order to defeat the Masked Man. He needed to turn this world to darkness, something he never thought he’d have to do.[/blockquote]

S C E N E . M U S I CCarpe Diemby Adrian von Ziegler Pirates. Pirates loot and plunder, they steal and swipe, they kill and keelhaul. All, beyond question, criminal activities. That made pirates,by definition, criminals. And this was a world teeming with the scurvy, the peg-legged, and countless questionable seafarers -- aflood with pirates, from what rumor told. What better place for a crime fighter to garner some renown? As the masked mallard stalked the shadows and rooftops of Port Royal, however, he found precious little worth his attention. A stray cat here, a vagrant laying in a puddle of who-knows-what in a back alley, crates and barrels left unattended -- not the glamorous, swashbuckling night he'd been expecting. As he leered down from a perch atop a rowdy tavern's chimney the justice-sworn duck sighed wearily. At this rate it would take forever to get some notoriety in this water-logged salt-and-brine town, a far cry from the rampant buffet of easily-thwarted criminality he'd been expecting. What rotten luck! And then, as if some capricious twist of fate had decided to amuse itself, the heavy clouds overhead parted just enough to send a ray of moonlight through... drawing the caped crusader's attention to the not-so-distant docks. To a young, vulnerable-looking boy wandering the streets. To a tall, tough-looking guy who, from the moment Darkwing saw him, seemed to give off all the wrong vibes. This was no chance encounter; as his gaze narrowed in suspicion DW felt that old familiar feeling hard-earned from years of hands-on crime fighting, that nagging insistence in the back of his mind that what he was watching was going to go south, fast. That kid was probably going to get mugged, or maybe something worse. Something horrible. Something criminal. Perfect!Dashing across rooftops with well-trained silent precision, the feathered avenger got within range of the two Keybladers and sat, crouched in hiding behind an oversized fishery sign, listening and waiting for his cue.

For once it seemed... Like those fighting for Darkness weren’t evil.
Shuyin was struggling to figure out his place in this great battle between Light and Darkness. He’d treaded among the light so far but... He wasn’t any closer to finding Lenne than when he left Spira. The allies he’d made in Golbez and Kain, that alliance soon faltered after he was separated from them. There hadn’t been any leads at all in his search and his mind kept wandering back to his meeting with Emperor Mateus in Guadosalam. Was the Darkness truly where he needed to be in order to find Lenne? Would the allies he’d make among the villains truly help him? Part of him felt that he couldn’t trust them, but... Well, he still had more thinking to do.
As Shuyin walked down the beach, continued to kick it ahead of him each time he reached it. The beach was a comfortable place for him, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore was relaxing and made it easier for Shuyin to think. Before long the blitz ace spotted two men ahead of him, his blue eyes reaching up to gaze at them while he came to a spot and knelt down to pick up the blitzball. One was a short blond, thinly built and obviously just a boy. The other was a taller brunette, he looked like a powerful warrior the way he was built. By the look of it they certainly were not of this world, just like him. He continued to walk towards them, finding his attention caught by what the man was saying while he tried to remember who he was.
“Ven, go home, it’s not safe now. This world’s about to be turned to darkness, and I don’t want you being hurt in the crossfire. Leave now before the fighting begins.”
Terra. That was the name of the man. It was coming back to Shuyin now that he could actually see him more clearly. He’d asked Shuyin to aid him in the upcoming battle, and though at first glance it would seem his cause wasn’t noble it truly was. Regardless of that though, Shuyin understood what many heroes failed to realize: there needed to be a balance between light and dark. If one ruled supreme, it wouldn’t be long before the other fought back and restored the balance or worse... Turn the tables in their favor. At least this time those involved were trying to keep the balance as peacefully as they could.
“He’s right kid, it’s not worth it to stay here. We don’t want anyone getting hurt that doesn’t need to be,” Shuyin added to what Terra said, tucking the blitzball under an arm. Nodding to Terra, he turned to face Ventus as he continued. “I know it’s hard to understand, but you just have to trust us. We’re doing what’s best in the long run, to save the worlds from a fate even worse than the ongoing battle between Light and Dark. He cares about you enough to ask you to step down, so please listen to him so we’re not all tied up in some senseless battle alright?”
He really hoped Ventus would listen. The last thing he wanted to do was beat up on a kid.
((OOC: Terra, was hoping to talk to you before I posted this but I'm trying to move this along more quickly. I hope it's alright I took the liberty I did with this, I thought it was the best way that made sense for Shuyin to be here. If you need anything just PM me >.<))

As Ventus walked along the beach, his mind wandered in thought of his friends and where they could be. His concentration, however, then was focused elsewhere when he heard an all too familiar voice behind him. Ventus turned around in disbelief to see Terra standing before him. Was he dreaming? Was Terra truly standing before him? Ventus wanted to run over happily to him, but something told him not to. Something was definitely off. "Terra....I've been looking all over for you."
An emotionless expression, copper-like eyes, and a sense of darkness around him. This is not the same Terra that Ventus remembered spending his joyous days with. He remembered that during his last journey, he remembered that Terra had begun to fall to the darkness, which led to a whole fiasco of events. In 13 years, had Terra fallen completely to the darkness and was now against the light? Ventus didn't want to believe it, especially when Terra made his first comment to Ventus in over 13 years:
”Ven, go home, it’s not safe now. This world’s about to be turned to darkness, and I don’t want you being hurt in the crossfire. Leave now before the fighting begins.”
Hurt, shocked, angry, disbelief...these emotions swirled in Ventus' heart rapidly, giving him a feeling of pain. This world was going going to fall to the darkness? That is not something Terra would say if he was here to help stop it from happening. "Why Terra....Why are you helping the darkness? That isn't you." Ventus wished so badly that Aqua would show up to help him, but Ventus figured that it wasn't going to happen. Ventus was not about to just leave the area, especially if Terra was going to drown it in darkness. He would need to stop him from doing so.
Then another person showed up behind Terra. A person in an odd outfit that Ventus had never seen before. Doing what was best for the worlds and saving them from a horrible fate the person said. Saving them by drowning them in darkness? If he truly wanted to save them, helping the darkness overtake the worlds was definitely not the way to do so. Ventus looked down at the ground in emotional pain, clutching his fists because he knew what he needed to do; and he wasn't going to like it. "I....."
With an angered and determined look, Ventus jumped back and summoned his keyblade, taking his fighting stance and looking at the two before them. "I'm not going home so you can drown this world in darkness! I don't know what's happened to you Terra, but you're not the Terra I know! The Terra I know would never help the darkness like this!" Ventus was conflicted in his heart, but he knew he had to protect the worlds, even if it be from his own friend. With that thought, Ventus would stand before Terra and the other person to keep them from taking this world. "You don't save the worlds by giving them to the darkness! You save them by protecting them from it! So if you want this world.....you'll both have to go through me to get it!"

Shuyin remained silent as Ventus retorted to him and Terra, shifted his weight back on his right leg while he looked towards his ally. He clenched his free fist, narrowing his eyes while he looked back at the young blond. Was he really so ignorant? He thought the keybearers were supposed to be more intelligent than your average hero, supposed to know how the worlds worked. It couldn't be helped, he was still just a kid. Still, that didn't make Shuyin's anger any less potent. He bit his lip, trying to keep the anger from causing an outburst from him with Terra there beside him. Despite the situation, he still cared for the kid and probably wouldn't tolerate any unnecessary conflict between them to be added to what was already there. Then, it seemed that in a flash of darkness Terra was gone. Shuyin turned his head to where his ally had been, then back to Ventus again. Apparently fighting his friend was too much for the bronze keyblader to bear. Well, now there was no reason to hold back. Bowing his head slightly as he glared, he yanked The Guardian from its sheath and flipped the sword in his hand so the blade pointed towards his opponent. Spreading his feet beneath him he held the sword at his side, letting out a cry of anger."You fool!!" Shuyin shouted at Ventus, letting the Blitzball slip from under his arm into the grasp of his left hand. "You just don't get it, do you?! Unless a balance is kept between light and dark... If you allow either one to gain dominance over the other, it'll create a backlash that will only cause more pain and suffering to the worlds! You're blind if you can't see that!!" With that, Shuyin threw the Blitzball hard into the ground so it bounced high into the air before he charged at Ventus. With a cry he leaped at him, swinging the Guardian in a wide upward arc to slash at him, using the momentum of the swing to spin himself in a circle. In doing so, he caught the Blitzball as it fell, passing the momentum onto it with the throw of Brutal Shot, the blue orb slightly homing in on its opponent as it tore through the air with the speed only such a skilled player could've thrown it. Driving his foot forward to steady himself, Shuyin hunched forward and spread his feet beneath him again, bringing the Guardian back to his side once more. "If I have to go through you to save the worlds, then so be it! I'll stop you, and use the Darkness to finally find Lenne... So that we can return to Spira, and live the rest of our lives in peace!!"------------------------------- Abilities Used Brutal Shot: One Post Cooldown
