Mordred shook his head as Reaper of Light became entangled in the Darkness whip Namine was wielding. However, he was shaking his head at Genesis's words rather than at the disappointing outcome of Reaper of Light's attacks. "You are very predictable, Genesis. Cowardice and vengeance are concepts beyond me, if you truly understood Nobodies at all. They are concepts driven entirely by emotions, things that are anathema to me. Besides, is it not said that discretion is the better part of valor? I was merely taking advantage of the situation, as all people, even heroes do. Of course, as you are so adequately demonstrating, you will let the poor girl be taken over by a darker persona than give up your obsession with Sephiroth. Who is truly the coward here? You are no hero, Genesis, merely someone trying desperately to fix a wrong and failing miserably. As long as your obsession chains your Heart, you will never elevate yourself beyond that."
Mordred went back to fighting Namine, who sent Reaper of Light away from him in a spin. He didn't seem all too concerned about it, but then again, he never really seem concerned about much of anything. "Tch... as for you. While you have the strength to maintain human form, it is obvious you don't have the will to maintain your alternate form. I suppose this is the fate of all who pretend to play at something they are not. A complete and utter breakdown." Mordred then put his arms up to guard the whip. However, a whip hitting an arm instead of a cheek or the side of the body still stung quite a bit and the fact said whip was made of Darkness only exascerbated the problem. After taking a few strikes, two to the arms and one to the leg, Mordred decided to get out of range of the whip and did so, by jumping onto the railing and then jumping onto the wall, using Kinetic Grab to let himself stick to the wall. He then crawled up the wall in a rather unearthly manner. He could have walked up it, but this way he could have a better view of the battle currently unfolding in front of him. That and his leg was still hurting something fierce and crawling mitigated the reduced speed limping would have on the Nobody. He stopped at a column and noticed other columns that had broken from disrepair.
Mordred adjusted his glasses and put a hand to his forehead, looking deep in concentration. Column pieces, each bigger than any of the combatants, floated up into the air until they were level with Mordred. He then threw his arm out and sent column pieces at Genesis, Namine and Fang, making sure to avoid his allies as well, in an attempt to make the heroes a little flatter. Mordred then stayed up on the column, looking like a rather human-looking gargoyle, observing the battle and contemplating his next move. Reaper of Light, meanwhile, had recovered from being spun like a record and, coerced by its master, flew towards Genesis's back and sliced at him six times, alternating between vertical, horizontal and diagonal slashes, moving like a flying serpent stuck having to fly in circles or a sphere in this particular case.
