The roar of the crowd, the trembling of the stadium, the grunts of the pita vendors... All of these things filled the Olympus Coliseum today, for today would start the revival of the Hades Paradox Cup. Our favorite Lord of the Dead stood on a cloud high above the Coliseum, looking down upon all he had created for this new tournament. There were many reasons why he had decided to revive the tournament, but primary among them was the fact that so many powerful warriors would be coming to try their luck in the battles that lay ahead. There were bound to be many that he could manipulate into becoming his minion. He disappeared from his cloud and reappeared at the throne he had previously created atop the Coliseum. He looked around at the growing crowd and addressed them and the warriors that stood on the field below him, his arms outstretched, "Welcome one and all to the revival of the Hades Paradox Cup!" A powerful burst of cheers filled the air once more. Hades gave the applause and noise a second to calm down before he continued, "Have I got a treat for all of you! Due to the turnout this year, we've had to create a couple preliminary rounds to weed out the competition, so the first round is a team battle between our competitors! You must all work together to defeat," With a quick wave of his hands, a giant ball of energy appeared and hurled itself to the middle of the field. From it grew and took form until it finally became the Rock Titan. The fearsome beast roared and reared its head, ready to rampage. Gasps and hushed whispers were heard across the Coliseum as Hades spoke to the silence, "A MIGHTY TITAN! However, there is one tiny catch. Only the top four will advance. So, work together, but stand out among the crowd to gain acceptance to the next round! That's not going to be a problem, is it?"The Lord of the Dead laughed evilly as he emitted flames from his hands, igniting various fireworks placed at either side of his viewing box. As the fireworks exploded in the sky, he shouted, "BEGIN!" He sat down on his throne and lit a conjured cigar. He was ready to see what these warriors could do. -Okay, the rules of this battle are simple: You are all a team, and you need to work together to defeat...wait for it...The Rock Titan! However, only four survive each preliminary match. Therefore, you need to work together, but be better than everyone else. After three rounds of posting the staff will judge this thread and determine which four participants proved to be the bigger assets in this battle. They will judge on damage dealt, teamwork, realism, and creativity. Each entrant has 72 hours (3 days) to post, to help speed things up. Posting Order: Caius Ballad, Namine, Rock Titan, Tifa, Roxas, Angeal, Rock Titan, Lief, and Silv-

Theme for this post: Heart of Sword(remix)-Rurouni Kenshin OSTThe sounds of cheering could be heard even from within the Lobby of the Coliseum, as could Hades' voice. It reminded him of the Coliseum back home in Pulse, except nobody really cheered. In fact it usually stayed empty save for the Guardian and the ones competing. However, he wasn't here to reminisce about Pulse. No, he had signed up for this tournament for different reasons. The most powerful fighters would be proven in this tournament, and they would be the ones he approached for recruiting to take down the Goddess Etro. "Alright listen up, got some last minute advice for all of ya!" A rather pudgy looking satyr by the name of Phil walked up to the Unversed Division as they were being called. "This Rock Titan you guys are gonna be out there dealin' with is kinda nasty." Hearing the satyr begin speaking, Caius reached up to ensure his sword, Ragnarok was secure before walking over and joining the rest of the Division as Phil spoke. "He's a big guy, but these Titans are dumb as dirt. So I got two words of advice for ya." the Saytr started. "All of you..work together." The Immortal Guardian couldn't help but grin then as the Saytr miscounted. "If ya can, take to the skies, while some of you's attack from the ground. Try to get it on its back. Now I got's other divisions to get round to givin' my advice to. So get your butts out there and win!" As the Satyr wrapped up his little speech, the Immortal Guardian took the Saytr's advice in mind, however he wasn't worried. From outside, it sounded like Hades' speech had wrapped up. The loud BEGIN echoed as if it were spoken in the same room as they were. True to nature when faced with a challenge, the Immortal Guardian of the Timeline and Protector to the Seeress stepped out into the arena. The first thing that hit him was the sunlight, followed by the cheering of the citizens in the stadiium. Clad in black and purple armor he stepped forth. He was a seasoned enough warrior to know full well he should ignore the cheers, as they served as simply a mere distraction. Adrenaline poured through every fiber of his being as he stepped out onto the arena. His right arm reached back, hands grasping around the bonelike hilt of Ragnarok. The 'Titan' he was supposed to be fighting hadn't quite appeared yet, however as he was from Cocoon, he knew full well how to at least prepare for giant creatures. After all he had had to protect himself from the massive Adamantoise's that occupied Gran Pulse. Each one was at least as tall as a skyscraper..and depending on gender could prove nastier, as the males tended to have tusks. Swinging his weapon once, violet and black flames engulfed the blade before it was brought directly back in front of him. His eyes began to glow a deep crimson as he channeled his power, as did the spot where his heart was located. Pure power pulsed through his veins, emanating off of his body in a very powerful aura. Directly above the hilt, an eye opened in Ragnarok, this too glowing a deep crimson as its wielder focused. He was going to need to be at the top of his game here. Strength, magic, and stamina...all of it was going to have to be at its peak, and he had just the ability to do it. The glowing in eyes, heart and chest stopped after a moment, however his body radiated an aura of three different colors. Red, as a sign of his strength being enhanced, a sign of Bravery being cast. Blue as a sign of magic enhancement otherwise known as Faith, and green as a sign he had cast Regen upon himself. Yes, the body and soul technique was a very useful one. However, even in the tournament, he never once forgot whom he fought for. After his buff was cast, that blade was grasped in both hands and brought close to him, forehead resting upon the blade. "Yeul..." His mind drifted then, remembering each different Yeul he had protected over the generations. He remembered each ones laugh, their smiles, their tears. The happiest moments in each ones life, as well as the sad. "I take part in this tournament today, to seek warriors to my cause to ensure you suffer no more at the hands of Etro. I beg of you, allow your memories to give strength to my blade once more. I will win this tournament in your name." Removing his forehead from the blade, eyes opening, the Immortal Guardian gave his sword one powerful swing as he awaited. "Bring out your Titan! I fear it not." A roar soon reached his ears, causing him to tilt his head up as he smirked. So this was the Rock Titan? The Adamantoise's in Gran Pulse were definitely bigger, and by the looks of this Titan, far meaner too. Grip tightening upon the blade, his eyes and chest began to glow red again, the eye directly above the hilt in Ragnarok opening once more and glowing as well. Phil had been nice enough to give them a little hint as to how to take it down, and it was going to be a perfect one. This creatures size, he could match it easily. Turning towards his teammates as he surely figured they had followed him out he spoke. "Those of you that can take to the skies, follow my lead. Those of you that cannot, take out it's legs but watch out for its feet. Not one of us will die here tonight." A purple aura enveloped his body as he swung his blade before leaping into the air towards the Titan. "Take to the skies....WINGS OF NIGHT!"His entire body found itself enveloped in that aura, its mass growing rapidly before exploding outward. Where once human stood, now stood a gargantuan dragon, the form of Chaos Bahamut. It's size alone when on two legs surely at least rivaled the Titan. A defeaning roar escaped his mouth before closing. Flames licked at the corner of his lips before his mouth opened once more, flames erupting to unleash the powerful Inferno attack upon the chest of the Titan as the dragon moved through the skies. Abilities Used: Incarnate Summon Chaos Bahamut: A gift granted to Caius thanks to the power of Chaos. This allows him to transform into Chaos Bahamut and vice versa. (Chaos Bahamut: 4 post limit, only done once per thread) *Note: This has been discussed in the past, this does not count against the two action rule due to it being a transformation. Duration: 4 posts Body and Soul: A support magic ability for Caius. This ability when used grants him the buffs Bravery(increases his physical power), Faith(increases the power behind his magic) and Regen(heals him continuously over time). The buffs are cast simultaneously and last for three posts. The buffs also do carry over if he transforms via Innate Summon. Cooldown: 4 posts. *Cooldown will not initiate until after the buffs wear off. Bravery=3 Posts Faith=3 Posts Regen=3 Posts. Inferno: Powerful fire based magic. Caius calls forth his magical energy into his sword once again, this time swinging the blade towards his foe to send a wave of pure raging flames towards his opponent. In Chaos Bahamut form, the flames erupt from his mouth. cooldown: 3 posts

Naminé sat on a small bench with a group of six other people around her. She only knew two of them. The girl with black hair and a fiery personality, Tifa, she knew from Sora’s memories, but she highly doubted that the young female fighter knew of her. The other one she knew personally was again from Sora, and that was Roxas, Sora’s Nobody. She gave the young Keyblader a smile though she honestly wanted to jump up and hug him for she hadn’t seen him in so long but she restrained herself since he was a possible opponent in the challenge ahead.
Naminé got up to look at the charts to see who was all in the tournament. She saw Sora’s name and a small giggle escaped her lips as she looked down the list. She also saw Vivi’s name. “This might be interesting if I make further in this game and have to fight him.” She thought to herself, and then again the same could be said for Roxas and Sora as well. Once again her eyes fallowed and read each name. She nearly leaped at Artemis’s name. She was pretty sure that was the name of the girl with the black wings that she met some time ago. The young Nobody had been trying to find because she needed her help with something. This just made Naminé’s determination to get through this tournament even greater. Maybe she could come face to face with the girl that she had admired once again. The last name her blue eyes fell on was Genesis. I giant smile came across her face. “Oh course.” She said as she went back to the bench with the grin still on her face. "I should have known."
The Lord of the dead talked about the groups being teams and them having to work together to defeat one of the Titans. “Well that is different.” Naminé said to herself. This was only her second Tournament that she has been in and she didn’t work with the people that she was going to eventually be fighting. She wondered which of the monsters they would be facing and her question was quickly answered when Phil started to talk. She smiled slightly as Phil gave his typical advice by saying “Two words” and it never being two words at all. It was discovered that they would be facing the Rock Titan. Take to the skies was the advice given and it was very good advice from what the girl could remember of the Rock Titan and Sora’s battle with it. The question was how could she use that advice? How could anyone on the team use that advice?
It was time to head out into the arena so Naminé got up quietly and followed the man in purple. As the crowd roared it had no really effect on the young Nobody. She walked out just like she did in her first tournament with a completely expressionless face. Her ocean blue eyes were fixed on the middle of the arena until the man beside her drew his weapon and did something while saying a name. “He must be fighting for someone.” Naminé thought to herself. She was starting to wonder what was everyone’s reason for wanting to do this. She had her own reason for being there but like always she was going to keep to herself.
Naminé closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She was thinking that the Titan would most likely launch an attack that moment it entered the ring so like the man next to her she two prepared herself. She held out her right arm to her side so that it was perpendicular to her body and parallel to the ground. Her hand began to glow with a warm light. The light snaked its way off her hand and wrapped around an invisible pole. The light faded way to reveal a multi-colored Keyblade. Its hand was in the shape of a heart and the one side of the heart looked like waves as it gradually faded in to a plant like look to finish of the rest of the heart. The pole was red and gold swirled around each other and teeth of the key was also in the shape of a heart and surrounded by colorful flowers. The key chain that the Keyblade held at this point was a Paopu fruit. The Keyblade that Naminé could summon because she was the Nobody of Kairi and Sora held fast in her hand she lowered in to her side. No one knew she could summon it in the first place. She didn’t know she could do it in the last competition but now she was going to use it. The Keyblade was only one of two skills that she had gained since then. She wasn’t too skilled with Destiny’s Embrace as of right now but if the titan launched an attack then at least she stood a better chance at blocking it this was.
Naminé’s eyes open and once again her expression was calm as it returned its gaze back to the middle of the ring. Her ears were listening for any sound that might tell her where the Titan would be coming from. Her mind was not only on the fact that the Rock might show up and step in to the arena like everyone else but that it could try to catch them off guard and come from somewhere else like the sky or from under the ground. So the Nobody kept quiet and listened.

Thud.
THUD.
THUD!
THUD!!
With every step, the fearsome Rock Titan loomed ever closer. It stood in the center of the battlefield and laughed. The strange, scratchy laugh echoed from both heads as the brute looked upon his competition. Despite being annoyed at having to wake up from his nap, The Rock Titan knew his master would have a good reason for this, and he was certain that someone in this crowd would provide him with a good fight. That was all he wanted. Was it so hard to find someone who could give him a good battle?
Well, things became interesting right off that bat as one of the little warriors became a giant Dragon. The Dragon nearly matched the Titan in size. This did not frighten the beast, nor did it startle him. Instead, he grinned, ready to see what this Dragon could do. Fortunately, he did not have to wait very long, as it unleashed a massive fireball from its mouth. Smiling even wider on both heads, the Titan readied himself and caught the blast, stopping it inches from his chest. The strength of the attack surprised him, and he was finally getting interested in this bout. If this was just ONE warrior's attack, imagine what the others were capable of! Could it be that he finally got his wish? He could finally have a good battle? Well, he couldn't disappoint the warriors now! He had to give it his all. Unfortunately, getting rid of this attack was a bit more than he initially thought, so he broke off his left arm to discharge the attack.
In a quick second, his arm regrew from the nearby stones, and he then formed more rocks in his hands and hurled them at the Dragon. While he was doing that, he had to get the other warriors on their toes, so to speak, because he wanted everyone involved in this fight. He began stomping the ground, causing massive shockwaves across the field. Since he stood in the middle of the field, he was certain everyone would have to keep moving if they wanted to keep standing. He laughed again, but this time, it was out of anticipation instead of taunting. He was about to have the fight of his life, and he was ready to crush them all.
----------------------------------------- -Skills: Rock Throw: The Rock Titan hurls boulders from his hands. The massive rocks can be dodged, but will still land somewhere, causing an impact. Cooldown: Two Posts. Earthquake: The Titan stomps on the ground, causing massive shockwaves to ripple across an area. The shockwaves tear up the ground at the creature's base and can cause distortion effects to others in its path. Cooldown: Two Posts.-

Post by Tifa Lockhart on May 20, 2012 1:06:00 GMT -5
Tifa had been clenching and unclenching her hands into fists for awhile now; whether out of anxiety or sheer boredom, she had long lost track of. The fact of the matter was that she was wholly undecided about what emotions were going through her head by now, and that the only reason she wasn't up pacing the floors was because of her extensive martial training with Zangan; and the mental exercises he had taught her were indeed being put to the test.
It was then that she realized that she was, in fact, pacing, and this fact caused her to blush somewhat upon the realization of this fact; no one else, however, was aware of what she was thinking, so it wasn't a necessary reaction, which caused her blush to become even more furious. Actually utilizing her mental exercises, however, calmed her nerves. Almost tempted to resort to Zack and Cloud's infamous anxiety cure, doing squats repeatedly, she thought better of it, on account of the fact that she would surely be heading into battle momentarily, and that she wanted her mind clear and not focused upon those knuckleheads.
Tifa pulled her gloves on tighter, patted her face for reassurance, and then barely heard Phil call the participants in the Unversed Division over. Her eyebrows were raised as she approached the goat/man hybrid, and she listened to him politely, one arm crossed upon her chest and propping her other arm up to her chin as she maintained a facade of listening. Her brown eyes were hazed over as she gazed off into the distance, in her mind far, far away from the place that she now stood.
Her thoughts glazed over every time she had ever fought; her triumphs, her losses, her victories, and her draws. Truth be told, there were a great deal more losses than she would care to admit to anyone, but a loss is just as rewarding an experience as a win; when one loses, they are driven to try harder. Tifa was convinced that this mentality is what drove her to rise to whatever heights she may have achieved in combat prowess. She didn't often fight others, as it was not her inclination to seek violence with the intent of causing bodily harm, but she had felt that it was time to find herself an outlet.
Without Cloud around, she didn't have anyone to support, and thus harass into being a better person. As she couldn't harass Cloud into being a better person, she was sullen and irritable as of late, and also incredibly distracted! As the rest of the warriors in the Unversed Division had begun marching off into the arena, Tifa had been left with a dazed look upon her face, leaving Phil ample opportunity to enjoy the scenery, so to speak; without gracing him with a physical rebuke, Tifa jogged forward in order to catch up with her temporary compatriots, having managed to acquire a fundamental understanding of what was about to transpire.
Tifa had watched the confident man stride forth with curiosity, and nodded her head in agreement as he said it would be a good idea to take to the skies. Of course it would; hadn't he seen the Rock Titan fight, before? The gargantuan creature was nothing if not consistent in his desire to stomp the ground upon which he and his adversaries tread. She politely indicated that she understood his "command", however, not wanting to wrongly antagonize a temporary ally.
As he mentioned a name, Tifa attempted to block out his speech, feeling that it was wrong to eavesdrop as he addressed whomever it was that he was in the process of addressing. Instead, she intended to psyche herself up for the oncoming brawl. She imagined that they were going to have a relatively easy fight upon their hands (After all, if Sora could defeat the Rock Titan solo, wasn't it a bit harsh to pit the Rock Titan against seven potential participants in the Hades Cup?), but she wasn't going to get lax just because she assumed that they would be capable of winning.
Tifa watched as the Titan approached with a maniacal laugh, and whistled appreciatively in awe of its size; she was impressed when she had seen Sora go up against it, but to be at the mercy of it yourself was another thing entirely. She cracked her knuckles, watching the interesting man transform into a dragon; a feat that would have surprised her, had her good friend Vincent not been fond of transforming into strange and spectacular things during their journey to save the world, and she blinked in disbelief as Naminé summoned a blade similar to the one that Sora wielded but all girl-powered and stuff; so Naminé was a keyblade wielder, too?
She grinned as the dragon launched a fireball at the approaching monstrosity, and nodded her head to herself. It wasn't theoretically going to be a long battle, what with the entirety of her team pitting their might against the Titan, but at the same time, she wasn't going to assume that the Titan hadn't managed to gain some new skills that would make it overly fearsome. The Titan withstood the fireball with relative ease, and as the once-man dragon roared ferociously, Tifa decided it was her turn to act. She clenched her fists once more, but this time with intent, as she focused her latent energies into them; but also compacting the magic aura that she had around her.
Light began to pull itself closer, and closer to Tifa's hands as she focused upon forming her Premium Heart. With a sudden burst of speed, blue, crystalline gauntlets appeared upon her gloved hands, and she put her enhanced speed and strength to use as the Giant began to counterattack. Analyzing the situation, she deemed that standing upon the ground was a surefire way of getting knocked off-balance and then quickly crushed, so she opted to take the route that was, feasibly, the safest.
Sprinting forward with long strides, fueled by her increased strength, she leaped into the air, and landed lightly upon the man-dragon's back as the Titan dispelled the dragon's fireball with the amputation of its own limb. "Hope you don't mind, big guy!
[/color]" Tifa called, in an attempt to apologize to the creature whose size rivaled that of the Titan's, and sprinted along the length of the dragon's body as the Titan hurled a rock towards the dragon. As she was using the dragon as a ramp, she felt that it was only fair to provide support for him, and added a sense of urgency towards her run; soon she reached the creature's neck, and as she reached its nape, she catapulted into the air, her hand tightened into a fist as she gathered energy into it, landing upon the rock as it traveled in mid-air, and performed a complicated jump maneuver off of it, opening her hand and unleashing a fully-powered Seventh Heaven point-blank range straight-down towards the thrown boulder. Tifa continued sailing through the air towards the Rock Titan, and, utilizing her martial arts training, she focused her energies into her feet as she rammed both of them forward into one of the Titan's heads; surplanting herself with a Somersault, she sailed gracefully through the air backwards, and once again landed nimbly upon the dragon's back, this time in an assumed combat stance, her brown eyes glittering with fierce determination as she prepared for the monstrous counterattack.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/sub] --------------- Premium Heart: Tifa generates the power of her spirit into the materialization of two gauntlets that greatly increase her power and speed. Lasts for three posts. [Cooldown: Five posts.] Seventh Heaven: Tifa manifests her power into a blast of pure energy, and hurtles it towards her opponent. [Cooldown: One post] Somersault: Tifa rushes towards her opponent, and attempts to plant her foot squarely in their chest before kicking off, augmenting her somersault with a watery backflip that retreats from her opponent; a largely defensive move.

Another foolish mortal had decided to attack the mountain of a titan. This one was female and decided it was in her best interest to climb the dragon-man and leap from him to the shoulders of the massive Rock Titan. There, she decided to strike directly at one of the massive titan's heads. Did she realize the consequences of striking solid rock?
As the slight pain surged through the mighty titan, he witnessed the woman leap back onto the dragon. She would pay for that one. The titan built strength up in its legs by crouching closer to the ground. It then actually lept into the air before crashing into the ground as a massive titan-sized meteor. The following shockwave was ridiculous as it nearly as the stands themselves began to change themselves into various piles of rubble. This would be felt throughout all of Olympus.
Next, the titan, now back to its feet, decided to punish the dragon more by sending its massive fist hurling towards the skull of the mighty beast. This blow alone had toppled many of the gods in the Great War years ago, and now the dragon would be its next victim.

What being a hunter wasn’t GOOD enough to just get in? He had to fight his way in too? Lief was hanging at the door to the entrance way of the coliseum frowning at the guy with fire as hair. He looked... familiar but Lief didn’t want to know why. He seemed to be in charge of the whole shindig, from the way he was announcing things. A team battle nonetheless... Welp, Lief was pretty good with those things from working in a clan for so many years... all that was left was...
“Sweet mother of Mewt, what the HELL is that thing?” Lief said rather loudly, question cut apart by the answer. A Titan... a ROCK Titan and their mission was to work as a team to bring that down... AND ON TOP OF THAT... shine out above the rest.
“Why they hell couldn’t this just be a bit easier?” Lief fumed, already knowing he wasn’t going to be one to stand out. Range fighters just.... didn’t stick out. They stuck to the shadows providing support from afar to let those with swords and close ranged weapons take the spot light. Sure, they got kills, KO’s, etc rather often but usually the only thing they were useful for was taking out targets from afar and ... disabling them. Which, of course, Lief never exactly learned to do. The Hunter fumed for a moment, glaring at the creature on the middle of the battlefield before he heard a voice behind him get his attention.
The creature, looking like cross a moogle’s size and a goat or something, was giving some advice to the people that were... apparently his team. He glanced around, sizing up some of the people in the room. That guy in the armor, he looks like he’ll take someone head on if he has too... And that one over there... Hmmmph. Swords as being as the spiked idiot, he’ll do well on the front lines but... Seriously? Are those kids even supposed to BE here? What the hell can they do... alright...Whateves... Lief’s eyes alighted on the women with black hair and suddenly the voice of the goat washed over him without him hearing it. His mouth opened slightly as he gazed the women up and down. Moogle’s Airships... she’s GORGOUS. |
[/i] Lief grinned to hopefully ease any strange looks the women would give him. He hastily turned his attention towards the last female... and as he did, she seemed to give him the chills... but Lief didn’t know why. Anywho, Lief turned his head back towards the creature giving advice to them all, pausing and staring as he was advised to “Take to the skies”. A snort escaped Lief’s mouth with that. As far as he could see, NONE of them had wings... so what was even the point of giving such advice? Work together... that was obvious... Get it on its back? What did this thing expect MIRACLES? The most Lief could do was probably disorient it with a shot from his bow... Eh, that might be useful if he could aim for his ... back? Lief shook his head. How was he supposed to get AROUND the stupid thing to begin with? But there they were... moving towards the open battlefield, moving towards the stupid creature that they SOMEHOW had to take out... all by themselves. The stadium roared with cheers as he stepped in but Lief could feel nothing but dread grow in his somtach. Why couldn’t fame be EASY to get? Why did shit like this always seem to happen to him? Lief had stood up to probably 20 or so clan round ups during his time. Face to face with assassins, black mages, fighters, paladins, morphers, time mages, archers, gunners... the list goes on. He had taken out firewyrms, blade biters, vampires, zombies, bombs, flans... and many more but NEVER in Lief’s ENTIRE existence had he fought such creatures as the ones standing in front of him. The man in armor was obviously the most confident as he seemed to issue orders to them. Lief was use to that, actually, since Clans worked together mostly rather than following their own thing. “Aim for the legs, eh? Ok.... I think I can do that.” Lief nodded towards the guy and allowed him to step forward as Lief fell into a comfortable distance away from the creature. Then... the guy in armor cloaked himself in purple energy and ... turned into a dragon. “If that doesn’t ‘stand out’ I don’t know what does.” Lief muttered to himself. No, honestly Lief wasn’t surprised he had turned into a dragon. He had seen Mophers do it on the field before, but honestly he hadn’t seen anything that BIG. It rivaled the size of the Titan before him... “Show off.” he spat The dragon took off towards the creature as one of the kids, the female one, summoned an oversized Key into her hands. Lief was starting to think he was out shined already. Giant keys were obviously impressive over the little bow Lief had on his back. The titan before them gave a laugh, sending a chill up Lief’s spine. The dragon the man had become roared defensively in return, sending a huge fireball out of its mouth. Lief slipped his bow off this back and fitted an arrow into it at the same time the Titian CAUGHT the blast in his hands, stopping it dead. “Is it even going to FEEL my attack?” Lief wondered incredulously. The blast was indeed powerful enough... cause the Titan lost one of his arms. Lief started to feel that maybe they’d have a chance but... as soon as the arm was lost, it regrew. Lief groaned out loud, they were going to need a miracle. Now the Titan was on the offense, throwing rocks at the Dragon-man, lots of rocks. But not only that, the Titan proceeded to stamp around creating mini shockwaves. Lief was knocked off this feet for a moment, kind of flopping like a fish for a few seconds before his was able to get up and get his balance once more. He fitted the arrow back into his bow and pointed it up at the Titan’s eyes. “How about you stop moving for a second so I can shoot you?” he hissed at it, firing two arrows at the beast’s eyes . He did it quickly, so fast it was almost like you didn’t see him fit the next arrow before he fired it. Then, the very attractive women took off towards the Titan nearly causing Lief to yelp, not wanting her anywhere NEAR that thing. She seemed to be cloaked in light, from what Lief didn’t know, but she suddenly SPRUNG onto the dragons back and proceeded to attack the back of the Titan... Lief’s mouth would not shut for a few seconds. But he suddenly realized that he was in a venerable spot. He looked around for his comrades.... to find that only the young girl with the big key and the creepy female remained. “What the hell?” He questioned out loud, but shook his head. Whhatever, the less there were the more likely he’d move on... Maybe if there was only four of them left he wouldn’t have to keep fighting the damn thing. “HEY!” he shouted to the other two on the ground with him, and once he got their attention, he lowered his voice. “You have anything that will distract the titan and stop him from thumping around long enough for me to get around him?” he questioned. “I have an attack that will do a good amount of damage but unlike the chick up there,” He jabbed a thumb to Tifa. “I can’t jump that high.”Lief considered using Boost, but he know it was too hard to pull that off without being smushed. So he did the only other thing he could do at that point... Fire two more arrows at each one of the Titans legs.... Hopefully it did SOMETHING for there wasn’t much Lief could do but attempt to support his teammates from afar. But just as his arrows went to hit, the Titan jumped... “Oh... no! BRACE YOURSELVES!” He called to the other two, clutching his bow protectively to his chest. The shockwave sent him up a few feet in the air before it plummeted the poor hunter back down to the ground. With a grunt of pain, Lief got back to his feet, rotating the stiffness out of his bruised shoulders. He watched the Titan attempt to punch the dragon and let out a frustrated sigh “DO ANY OF YOU KNOW BIND AND IMMOBILIZE?! “ he called out in anger, setting another arrow in his bow and waiting for the next attack. Where was the freaken archers when you needed them? [/div] [/td][td][atrb=width: 100px; height: 400px][atrb=vAlign,top] ~~ ~~ OOC: Glad I looked at this thing! Silv looked over her 'allies', even if it was temporarily and they were still against each other in a sense of having to 'attract' the people or something. Well, they had said to do better than the others, so she'd be one of the chosen... where does this make sense? She had no idea how to work this out, perhaps it'd be better to show a massive attack, she looked at her axe and figured she'd start storing it to full and massive a larger wave than usual.
When the fight started, she took a better look at everyone that started out. It would give her some idea on how they fought. Their opponent was a large brick with arms, feet, heads, who came up the idea to give it two heads as well? One of the first to head out was one of the men, who suddenly became a dragon, same species as Maleficent or something? She had met the woman quite a long time ago when she was still a Hume. Along with that silver-haired boy...
Another was a younger girl... was she a Keyblader? She couldn't recall her wielding Keyblades before. Things seemed to have changed over time, perhaps. The other woman appeared to be a martial artist as she attacked. Silv already had started charging her axe for Dark Beleaguer and moved as the Titan was causing shockwaves.
Looking over at the last person, wait, didn't we have two more? She couldn't tell with all the rumbling and dust. The boy was an archer from the looks of it and shouting about something called 'bind' and 'immobilize'. Are those abilities or something? Apparently to halt movement or something, she wasn't too sure about it and it bugged her.
Instead, she started to run forward as one of the titan's legs while forming a sphere in her hand for Dark Seed. “Fall!” She shouted as she timed the attack to when she started to step down with the foot. This so she could hit the leg with a shockwave before he stepped on it and hopefully move it so the titan would fall forward. Afterwards she moved quickly to the sides.

So the battle had begun. All but two of his teammates had joined him on the battlefield against this powerful beast that lay before them. It was going to take everything they had to topple such a creature, all of their combined strength. Would they be able to pull it off? Could four of them succeed to the next round? Only time would tell.
The first thing that caught the Immortal Guardian's attention before the beast attacked was the strange Key Shaped weapon the blonde girl summoned. She can't be any older than Yeul. The battlefield is no place for one as young as she...[/color] he thought to himself. Now..there was no other time for distraction as his opponent had appeared.
A gleam appeared in his eyes as he noticed the Titan struggling against his Inferno, his hopes getting up that perhaps maybe it would be enough. Eyes widened as he noticed the Titan sever his own arm to counter the attack, leaving one with his experience in combat off guard and not expecting the boulders to hurtle all across the arena. One neared him, causing his eyes to close as he braced for the impact yet something happened.
Footsteps were felt all along his back as someone ran up. Catching nothing but a woman with dark brown hair fly past his gaze, it amazed him when she punched the boulder aimed his way into rubble and then managed to send the Titan hurtling down. Once Tifa was safely on his back once more he quickly reached down to scoop up Namine in his hand and lift her in attempt to save her from the shockwave that followed. His other teammates would be left on their own not because he didn't care..but because there just simply wouldn't be time to save them all. Plus..Namine reminded him of Yeul with her youthful appearance..he felt compelled to look after her.
If he had successfully managed to save Namine he's set her back down once the shockwave had ended, leaving Tifa where she was perched of course. Their next teammate entered and shot arrows, but due to his size he could barely hear what he had asked. Their other teammate had set up to launch a dark attack upon the Titan's leg..which would hopefully give them an edge. If they could just keep knocking it down.
Flying about the air slightly, his body tensed as he noticed the Titan rising..and as its arm drew back it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what its intent was as its hand balled into a fist aimed straight for his face. Rising up quickly into the air, the dragon felt the Titan's fist hit him square in the stomach instead of it's mark, causing a pained roar to slip past as the air escaped his massive body. The pain only lingered for a second before the Regen spell he had cast prior to transforming took effect, coating his body in a green aura as the pain dulled.
Now this...this meant war. No more was he going to play. Reaching up for Tifa, the dragon took flight once more this time rising high up into the air. Being unable to communicate what his plan was exactly he hoped the woman would figure it out. She appeared to be a capable fighter. Using the opposite arm of whatever side she was perched he reached up to take her into his hand and draw his massive arm back if he had successfully managed to grab her. If he had she would then be hurtled towards their opponent. The dragon's plan? Use the increased speed and force of gravity to increase the blow behind the fighter's next move..while the Titan was hopefully distracted by their ground forces.
He wasn't done yet however, as his body glowed in a deep blue aura, using the Metamorphosis technique to basically shift into Gestalt Mode..or a more traditional dragon form you could say. Jaws opening wide, a massive burst of blue sparking energy shot forth towards their foe, unleashing the powerful signature technique of the Bahamut family: Megaflare.
Duration: 3 posts
Body and Soul: A support magic ability for Caius. Bravery=2 Posts Faith=2 Posts Regen=2 Posts.
Inferno: Powerful fire based magic. Caius calls forth his magical energy into his sword once again, this time swinging the blade towards his foe to send a wave of pure raging flames towards his opponent. In Chaos Bahamut form, the flames erupt from his mouth. cooldown: 2 posts
Metamorphosis: Allows the humanoid Chaos Bahamut to turn into the traditional dragon form of Bahamut. Unless he is in this form, Chaos Bahamut cannot use Megaflare. Cooldown: Done once per thread, only done if about to perform Megaflare. Upon use of Megaflare, he returns to the humanoid dragon shape.
Megaflare: A powerful breath attack, and a signature move of the Bahamut family. Energy is gathered into the open jaws of the dragon's mouth before fired down upon his prey. (Cooldown: Done once per thread)

As the titan stomped in Naminé backed up slightly with the Keyblade at her side. “ Ummmm. Well. He is a lot bigger in life then in Sora’s memories.” She laughed nervously. The memory witch heard the man in purple’s voice yet again say to either follow him or fight from the ground then he turned into some kind of dragon thing. At first she thought that the dragon man already disarmed the Titan…literally, but unfortunately it was a sure lived victory as the monsters arm grew back. “So he can regenerate himself.”
Naminé grinned as Tifa started running up the dragon’s back and delivering a powerful blow to the titan. The Female Nobody would take a note from her book and use her team’s strengths to her advantage to help rival the rock and she hoped that her team would do the same with her. The princess of memories was about to help the crew in the air when she found herself be scooped up by Bahamut. She looked up at the creature a little confused as to what he was doing. It wasn’t until the sound of stomping reached her ears that she realized that massive shockwaves where released from the titan’s stomping. She watched as the others rushed in on the enemy as saw that two of the team members were no longer among them…Roxas being one of them. She wondered to things, one was where the other two fighters went and the other was why did the dragon pick her to save her among the other worries? She could only guess one and that is why the guy saved her. It was probably because she looked like a child to him…a frail little girl. That is what most people thought when they saw her. “Well. Let’s see if they are right.” She thought to herself as the transformed man put her down. She simply smiled at him and nodded in thanks.
Naminé summoned her sketchbook and a picture of a woman in black and purple that she had drawn awhile back. In a flash green light the woman in the picture transformed. “Time to take to the skies.” Naminé thought as she crossed her arms in front of her and thrust them outward in a “V” shape above her head. Green Flames surrounded her body and her silhouette began to grow and morph. Soon where the little girl in white once stood was not the massive Dragon recognized to be Maleficent. She had indeed followed her teammate’s lead. One all fours the dragon Maleficent was only half the titans size, but if she reared up then she would easily come to at least the titian height.
Her glowing green eyes fixed themselves on the enemy. She let out a roar and knew that this form could cost her dearly but it was the only thing that had wings and wasn’t small that she could think of. She could feel her empty shell being slowly filled by the darkness that this form had to offer. She kept her Keyblade in her claws so she could keep a sense of who and where she was…the cold metal and power of the blade seemed to keep her head clear and she wasn’t going to lose that by banishing it.
The titan and the male dragon that had the warrior tifa perched on him were going at it again. Blasting the titan directly didn’t seem to work since it just regenerated itself. They needed away to stop that generation or pin point how it was doing it and stop it. The titan was a rock so it should be easy to burn was the thought going through Naminé’s mind. She opened her mouth and it began to glow an eerie neon yellow color. With one exhale green fire came from her mouth but instead of aiming it at the titan directly he aimed behind him setting the arena ablaze with the help of the rubble that the titan has so kindly left behind from all of it previous attacks. Now if they could manage to get the titan to fall into the flames then maybe it could do some damage and even over heat the regenerating processes. As the team member with a bow yelled something about BIND AND IMMOBILIZE. That actually wasn’t a half bad idea. Naminé lowered her massive head with it long snake like neck down to the warrior and nodded.
As the two ground fighters rush forward with their attacks, the man in purple turned into a different version of his dragon form and released a blue beam. Naminé spread out Maleficent’s wings and lifted into the air. She flew at fall force upon the titan trying to tackle him to the ground. Hoping he would land on his back in the flames. This the two on the ground and their attacks to its legs and the male dragon with its megaflare to the face, her body tackle at full speed the hope that the titan would fall like the women with the silver hair yelled would be very hard to avoid of the servant of the god of the underworld. Since she was the more snake-ish of the two dragons on the field with her long neck and equally long tail she could bind the creature up. Whether the titan would fall or not didn’t matter to the memory witch. Either way her tail would wrap around its legs and her body and neck would wrap around its arms leaving the rock helpless against other oncoming attacks.
Naminé prayed that her team would be quick for the form was starting to take her over as she shook her head to try to keep her sense about her. She still clung to the Keyblade and drive it into the titans side multiply times chipping away at him. She let out another roar to cheer her team on.
Mind Manipulating: Draws in book to change her appearance into another female from Sora's memories. She is able to use their basic weapons and abilities. So now there were two dragons among the tiny humans. They were wise to avoid fighting on the ground as much as possible, but it would not help any of them survive. The aftershocks could still be felt from his massive diving attack. Yet, he could tell someone was trying to trip him up. Seriously? Trying to uproot the Titan of Earth? It was enough to make him laugh, but he did not. Instead, he stayed rooted to the ground, two small arrows bouncing off his legs. What he didn't notice were the two arrows aimed at his eyes. One hit the mark on his right head, while the other hit the left head. The fearsome Titan roared and removed the arrows quickly, but it was enough of a distraction for what came next.
A massive blast from the first dragon hit the Titan with a force that sent a powerful, rippling shockwave across the field. He had just enough reaction time to raise his bouldered arms in defense. The blast pushed him backward before he felt another push from the other dragon. After fighting with the blast for about ten seconds, it finally broke through with the help of the second dragon, blowing a hole in the Titan and causing it to explode.
A hailstorm of gigantic sharp, jagged boulders fell from the sky toward the combatants below. As they landed across the battlefield, the amount of safe space became more and more limited. A silence fell across the field when the last stone landed. A voice rang out, "You think you've won... but I'm about to rock you... like a hurricane!" It was then replaced with another Earthquake as the Titan reformed, causing the sharp boulders to fly upward to his position again. If they had crushed any combantants, this would hurt them even more. As he became whole again, he stood and roared once more.
How dare they even try to fight him! They couldn't handle his true power... and it was time to release that power now. Let them come and try to take him down. They will all face the same fate under his mighty feet.

Post by Tifa Lockhart on Jun 12, 2012 3:59:28 GMT -5
Tifa's stance upon the dragon's back was only slightly shaken from the Rock Titan's ground pound; and even then, this was not because of the Rock Titan's colossal form striking the ground, but because Caius; Tifa's present dragon steed, had taken to the skies in order to escape the tremors that were the intended destruction of the giant. Tifa lowered her torso closer to the dragon's back, and carefully placed an open palm upon its scaly surface in order to steady herself.
She hardly noticed Lief's attacks against the Titan; not necessarily because she didn't consider him to be a worthwhile contributor to their cause against the gargantuan beast, but largely because she had anticipated something akin to what had transpired shortly after the dragon had deposited its other burden. What looked to be the youthful blonde-haired girl. She was aware that he had fired some arrows at it, though she wasn't sure of their effectiveness (Though to be fair, one could argue the same about her fists without prior knowledge.), and another seemed to be intent upon treating the Rock Titan like a tree; she approached it with an axe, but then she did not strike it with the weapon, but her hand. She didn't understand the particular reasoning for the dragon's rescuing of the blonde and not any of the others, but it was not her business to wonder upon such things now, for she was forced to brace herself as the dragon received a very forceful haymaker to the vulnerable underbelly.
She grunted, and slid down the dragon's back as he had angled himself, and yet she was forced to right her position as the dragon had readied himself for a counterattack. He had started to flap his wings up into the air; a tactic she was familiar with whilst working alongside the various Bahamut summons that AVALANCHE had acquired during their quest to save Gaia from Sephiroth's mad schemes, but what had come next, she was not expecting. The dragon's hand had reached back towards her, and grabbed hold; she was initially worried that she had out-stayed her welcome, and was about to be violently relocated somewhere very painful.
Yet, as she observed the battle growing ever farther, and farther away, she realized that the dragon had something in mind as he didn't casually throw her off to the side. She glanced up at his reptilian face, attempting to discern the thoughts that lingered within the dragon's thoughts. She wasn't a mind-reader, and as a result, nothing immediately came to mind as she attempted to pierce his cool countenance with chocolate eyes. She looked back down to the battle with a perturbed expression, and vaguely, she could see that the blonde haired girl that the dragon had previously rescued had morphed into a giant, fire-breathing lizard form of her own. She whistled nonchalantly to herself, and as the fight began to strain her vision merely to kiss the forms, she began to realize what the dragon was intending; the members of AVALANCHE had used such a tactic in reverse to eliminate Bahamut Sin when Kadaj and his brothers had attempted to revive Sephiroth.
As realization dawned upon the brunette, the dragon reached the zenith of its flight; and here at the height, Tifa could see that she could pack a tremendous punch - or kick - with whatever attack she deemed necessary to use. She was starting to feel a tad bit light-headed, though - as she wasn't acclimated to such extreme changes in the clime, a rapid ascension was not something that she regularly prepared herself for; she hoped that he would put his plan into action soon.
It was no sooner than she had thought such a thing than he had gladly acquiesced, though it was not as though he had actually heard her mental request; or perhaps he had, in which case the dragon-man's power was something not to be trifled with; regardless, she regretted the thought almost as soon as he had sent her catapulting towards the Rock Titan; it was a disorienting effect, as she was used to making her foes worry, not worrying because of her allies. The speed at which she descended was phenomenal, and though she plummeted with haste, she missed out on a great deal of action.
Mere moments after she had begun her descent, the dragon, whom she was now convinced was an iteration of Bahamut, though which one, she couldn't possibly tell through appearance alone, as the Bahamuts were so varied that they could be compared to the number of beasts in the wilds of Gaia. She was, of course, getting off-track, again, and she narrowed her focus and eliminated all other thoughts from her mind than what was transpiring with the battle. The Bahamut-man had fired a beam, presumably the signature -flare ability, though and the female dragon had also joined suit in an attempt to overpower to Titan. After a brief struggle, it looked as though they had succeeded, for the Titan had exploded into several enormous chunks all over the coliseum.
Tifa didn't hold her breath, however; and continued to descend, and it worked in her favour that she hadn't; for the Rock Titan had begun to reform as she approached the site where it had initially been standing; and the boulders, sharp and jagged, seemed to be on a bee-line straight for Tifa. Yet, she was convinced not to falter, and stayed her course, manipulating both her energies and the energies of the air around her to accentuate her speed and impact even greater, as well as cushion it; superhuman though her strength may be, she had no illusions about being able to collide with with a giant at the mercy of gravity and come away with no injuries whatsoever; but she wanted the Titan to feel this for some time yet to come.
Tifa twirled about in the air in order to accentuate and give direction to the air she was manipulating, and hoping that a drill-like motion would cause such equally as much damage to a Titan made of rock that a drill might accomplish with rock back on Gaia. As she approached the Titan, anticipation and anxiety welled up inside of her and she sucked in a deep breath, and small rocks and jagged pebbles scraped and cut her all around, each one bringing blood and causing stinging pain, yet she was determined.
With a final burst of energy, and a retort in kind to the Rock Titan's own comment, saying, ""Here I am! Come on, baby!!" Tifa's gravity-powered Falcon Dive crashed down upon the Titan, though the exact location, Tifa couldn't particularly say, as the crack of bone told her that her cushion was not as effectively as she had hoped, and she was practically convinced that she had fractured her left leg. Drawing upon the bred civility of her fellow AVALANCHE member and former leader, she delicately surmised her thoughts on the situation.
"Ow, $#!%!"
Collapsing to her knees upon the Rock Titan's enormous form, it was all she could manage to push off with her other leg, which had miraculously escaped practically unscathed save for various cuts and scratches, and create some distance between herself and the enormous punching bag of boulders. She landed upon both legs, an action which she sorely regretted as she fell to one knee, one eye closed and hoping that the Titan felt that blow almost as much as she had.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ Falcon Dive: A technique that Tifa utilizes whenever she has gained an incredibly high altitude over her opponent; she dives down swiftly, augmenting her fall with Aero magic in order to quicken the move and strengthen her impact. The dust had yet to settle before that foolish girl with the powerful punches fell from the sky and struck him in the left head. Had he been made of weak flesh like they were, he would have had broken bones, among other things. However, she was still strong enough to crack through his head and neck. The pain was intense, but like the stone of Mount Olympus, he stood strong.
The brutish stone roared again in defiance of the pathetic warriors before him. He had dealt them all massive damage, even those that tried to be his equals in size. Now he went on the offensive again. He started with the second dragon. She was originally a girl, if he paid attention, but he didn't care anymore. He would take her down, just like the others. Large boulders formed again in his hand and he threw them square at the girl-dragon. Not waiting for his attack to finish, he focused on the ground warriors again, using his right fist to punch the ground, creating a massive shockwave across the coliseum.
He knew they would all be fatigued soon and this bout would be over. He was enjoying this challenge, though. Some of these warriors were actually proving capable of holding their own against him. It was surprising, but he would rather have a worthy opponent than puny ants who ran from him, like so many others did. -OOC:Perhaps we need to redo the posting order for the final round of posts. We've had two drop since the start of this and I think it'd be better to switch it up. I'll see if I can do that and I'll let everyone involved know.-
