Round two did prove interesting, but this was the round that Hades was really waiting for. The arena had changed again. This time there were random walls about five feet across strewn about the field. The walls were about five feet high, as well. The crowds roared with excitement until Hades appeared to speak, once more. "How about that last round, huh? A little mayhem and excitement is always fun. Great matches, for the most part, and blood thrown in a few others! Let's continue the tournament now!" The crowd roared again as the gates rose to let the combatants enter the field. "Entering from the South Gate, Ygua...Whatever! And entering from the North Gate, Sora!" The crowd continued to cheer and were loving every minute of the battles.
Hades raised a hand and everyone fell silent. He loved doing that. "You'll notice the arena's changed again. Well, these walls will have a greater purpose after explaining the stipulation." The Lord of the Dead threw a ball of energy into the center of the field and both fighters instantly couldn't see anything. In fact, the entire arena was covered in darkness. No one could see either fighter. "This will be your typical Dark Combat. None of your spells or abilities are limited, but spells will not light up the area. In fact, nothing will. You will have to feel around to find your opponent. The only thing you will see, though, is a small arrow that will direct you to your target. That ought to be fun, huh?" The crowd began to protest and complain. They wanted to see the battle. They didn't come all this way just to look at darkness. This angered Hades, and that was always a bad thing. He flashed red as he said, "Hey, you want to keep this up? I can throw you ALL into the UNDERWORLD. If you'd be PATIENT, I could finish WHAT. I. STARTED!!!!!" Fire erupted from all around the arena before Hades calmed down again. Silence fell across the crowd again. "Now, my lovely fighters... BEGIN!" Magic screens appeared around the arena for the crowd. They would be able to see the fight, but the fighters below could see nothing. The Lord of the Dead was ready to see what his puppets would do now.
-OOC: Note: Due to a couple messages from Falko and the approval of the committee, Falko's spot will be switched with Whatever and he will face Sora. Okay, so your character can't see the other character or any of the walls in their way. I look forward to see how you come up with finding your opponent. Crashing into a wall or two gets you brownie points if it makes me laugh. 72 hour post limit, 2 week round limit. No other limitations other than sight. Have fun. First up is Whatever.-

When he heard it was his turn again, the Heartless walked into the field while looking over the arena again. Walls? It appeared to him that there'd be no multiple platforms this time, instead they were having a lot of walls all over the place, makes me think of some kind of maze if the walls were more connected, he thought to himself. Seeing this, he figured he could use the walls as a stand to jump against and to use them when tossed into the air to step against.
Then Hades came with his next idea, he wondered what set of rules came next, but instead was a ball of energy. He was surprised when everything was suddenly black, what? The Heartless lifted hand to his face, but couldn't see it. He then touched his face, my head's still there, okay... He licked his lips and went with his hand over his face. He closed his eyes and touched the eyelids to see if everything was still correctly there, just magical darkness then. He still heard Hades speak and lowered his arm as he understood nothing he could do would light the area. I've fought more battles in absolute darkness, nothing new, he thought to himself while thinking about his few magical abilities. None of them could light the area, possibly the ranged artillery won't cause for flashes either.
The Heartless heard the crowd protesting and Hades getting mad at them, well, it won't be much fun for them if they can't see us, he figured. This all seemed just entertainment for them, I should really destroy this world. All he had seen of this world was this arena and all the battles and such. It started to rather bother him. Remembering his time in arena's back at home really came up. Suddenly he saw the arrow Hades mentioned, okay... so I can't even hide from my opponent, he figured.
Instead of bothering himself with the thoughts of having to deal with all this unarmed, he just recalled the name of his opponent, Sora. This guy had appeared on the board in the past before, having been the champion in the past of certain cups. So not one to underestimate, he figured as shadows gathered in his hands, he felt he had an advantage as the shadows didn't make any sound as he shaped a weapon in his hand.
There was then the sound of links, which immediately made him understand he now held the Spiked Chain in his hands. He could feel the rings in his hands, well, he truly had hoped for something completely different. It didn't really matter, he supposed, but it would've been nice to have a sword again.
Instead, he figured to be completely quiet, it was best to gain his Levitate ability, but was he able to do such was what he was wondering. He stretched an arm towards where the arrow was pointing. Then he followed by trying a spell, from the palm of his hand a large boulder was shot forward in the direction of the arrow as Stonera was used. If Sora was behind a wall at this moment, he had nothing to fear, but otherwise there was a boulder soaring towards the air at him. Two wasted tricks, the Heartless thought bothered to himself and took hold of his chain, going over the links to check of the spikes and avoid hurting himself, having his fingers stuck into the rings, he tried to be able to stretch the chain so he could use the chain for defensive means as well.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Like shining oil, this night is dripping down Star are slipping down, glistening With soothing healing waters to heal the wounds and wear he had accumulated with Naminé from the last battle, Sora was told by Phil once again it was time for the next round; Sora still was amazed he was able to overcome and defeat the girl in white, just as he had his own Nobody. He was really thankful he had made it this far into the tournament, and would try to do his best to continue so Naminé's loss would not be in vain, so she would not feel her loss was for nothing not only for someone else to defeat him but so he could keep his promise to her to look for a woman with 'black wings'. "Hey kid, you ready? It's time to step up to the gate." Phil stirred him out of his thoughts with his voice, as Sora stood in the Lobby, hearing the murmurs of the crowd within. "Okay, I'm ready Phil? Any hints about who my next opponent is?" the spiky-haired keyblader asked jubilantly, getting pumped up for the next challange. Phil crossed his arms and shook his head, only replying "I only know that the guy looks pretty filthy and dark in appearance, like one of them Heartless or whatever. I've got two words for you; looks are deceiving. Now go knock 'em dead, kid."Smiling and shaking his head, Sora stepped past the short satyr before the gate, hearing Hades now starting to talk to the audience. He heard his opponent introduced first and looked confused at first, as Hades had first said 'Ygua' but then decided to go with 'Whatever' as if he didn't really care about the person's name. So, his opponent's name was... Ygua? What a interesting name! The boy wasn't sure if Hades had fumbled with pronouncing it right or in full, but he couldn't wait to see what kind of opponent he or she was, and how the next battle would unfold because of it. As his name was introduced by the Lord of the Dead and his gate opened before him, he stepped out and made a big, bright smile to the surrounding crowd in the stands, waving both his arms above his head and turning his torso so everyone could feel they were waved to or smiled at by him if they were fans or cheering for him. Then he took in his surroundings; the sky was cloudless now without the clouds that had lingered before in the last fight, and the sun shone in overhead, making it directly sunny and bright. Beneath the dazzling light blue of the limitless sky, he saw how Hades had described the battle field had changed; it looked like the floating platforms from the last round had been recycled into walls to construct a maze. So vast and tall before him in fact, he couldn't even see his opponent on the other side of the arena, only the entrance he started in. It wasn't until Hades threw another orb of light into the center of the labyrinth, Sora thinking it was another Titan or some similar creature under his command, did Sora understand the true significance of what Hades meant by the purpose of the walls. "Ahh!"The hero had cried out in startled alarm as he suddenly fumbled around, his eyes only seeing black and darkness, and for a moment he thought that Hades had conjured some kind of blindness spell on him. It was only after a moment of first feeling around the immediate area to test his sight, then feeling his eyes to check what was wrong with them, did he hear the god speak moments later that it was a 'Dark battle' and that somehow it was magically enchanted that neither Sora or his opponent couldn't see each other for the entire fight. When the Lord of the Underworld spoke of it, at the same time, a small arrow appeared that Hades claimed would be pointing towards his opponent. After flinching somewhat of the sudden unexpected outburst from him, the battle had begun, and Sora took a moment to attempt to adjust to a battle without complete sight as he glanced at the arrow that was now his whole world when it came to sight. He summoned his Kingdom Key, and noticed the usual warm, flashing glow of his keyblade could not even pierce the darkness through his sight, and his mind reeled back to other places of darkness he had been in before. Falling through the darkness during the destruction of his island and becoming a Heartless, his battle against Xehanort's Heartless in the Realm of Darkness that at times was almost pitch black, and the time Maleficent had sent him into the Realm of Darkness. Out of all those times, even the smallest amount of light could allow him to kiss shapes and outlines of his friends and enemies, but this would have to be hands-down the darkest battle he had ever been in. Using his keyblade to reach out and feel the environment around him as he marveled how almost near-midday had been plunged into the depths of a moonless midnight, he had to wonder if Hades would even be on the level with this fight, recalling the memory of the shady dealer saying 'Accidents happen'. What if the arrow wasn't pointing to his opponent but something else, even a dangerous creature that was now lose in the maze, like Cerberus? What if there were pitfalls and traps he couldn't see that Hades wanted him to fall into? The darkness robbing him of his sight and making the unknown grow out before him, Sora realized he couldn't entirely rely on the arrow as his only guide, deciding it would be best to rely purely on his other senses that now were starting to heighten. His keyblade tip felt a wall before him, so he kept moving forward so that his hand could feel the wall; he was now as far forward as he could have seen before his sight had been stolen. If he was going to navigate through this maze, it would be like the time he, Donald and Goofy navigated through Hades home turf of the Underworld in the lower depths, and got the idea if he kept following the wall with his hand then it would lead him eventually to the middle and where his opponent might be. Thunk, and his confidence and bravery had gotten the better of him already, having picked up speed and hit a corner before him. He groaned and picked himself up, flailing around for the wall again as his guide and using the keyblade in his other hand like a walking stick to feel the ground for anything suspicious, and that's when he noticed the arrow he could see as the light within the darkness was... moving. I know for a fact, that deep within the darkness, there's a light that never goes out. The quote of himself had floated back to him in his mind, and re-enforced his resolve to be brave in the darkness of the unknown, moving surely but carefully amongst the thickened walls as the arrow moved closer towards him. Sora got ready to attack and listened carefully for footsteps so he would know his opponent wasn't behind a wall nearby, but couldn't hear anything, and before he knew it he was hit by some sort of very large and solid object. He cringed, and flinched as he staggered backwards and braced himself by parting his feet and hunching down to keep his balance; had he just been hit by another wall? Had the opponent thrown a wall at him, or was it some kind of smoothed rock the opponent could throw as a magic spell? Immediately Sora threw away trying to figure out what was the projectile that had fallen away somewhere out of his reach, and activated Firaga to defend himself, not even the flicker of the flames once again could illuminate the darkness around him. He hadn't heard the opponent even coming, and his other five senses couldn't pick him up either before the crackling of fire filled his ears around him; if he waited for the opponent to attack again to put his guard up, he could miss the timing and completely waste his time on the defensive. There was only one solution and strategy in his mind he could play now, and not feeling his opponent anywhere nearby once the flames of the spell had died down, he cast magic again and flung a shot of Blizzaga in the direction the physical projectile had come from. He was fighting blind literally, taking Hades words with the benefit of the doubt since it could have been a rock/wall-slinging trap that attacked him and the arrow was pointing at now, but firing from range and with a wide-spread attack at the moment would help him scout and keep his opponent on the defensive until he could get a better idea of what he was up against. Sora's Round Two Battle Theme: Shrouding Dark Cloud--- Firaga: A defensive fire-elemental spell that casts fiery rings of flames around Sora, a spell he uses rarely when he is surrounded in a quick pinch. Three post cooldown. Blizzaga: A quick shoot-off-the-hip ice elemental spell, he points his keyblade at a target(s) and orbs of frosty ice fan out from the tip, damaging them with the ice's sharpness and frostburn. As he was working his way on how to fight in this battle, suddenly something popped in his mind. Wait... What did that freak of flames say? He tried to look in the direction of where he knew Hades was, at least where he saw him last. All that knew the name of my former life, my Somebody, has died, so where did he get that? It puzzled him and the Heartless wondered if he shouldn't be killing that man. I'll deal with him another time, he figured, seriously pissed at the knowledge someone still lived of that time from the Blank Valley.
Returning his attention to the battle, he could hear the sounds of his stone spell hitting someone. At least, it sounded more of a person than a wall from the sounds he was receiving. Sight is stolen, but hearing can be deceived, he thought to himself, knowing well what kind of tricksters existed in these outer worlds. Knowing he had his hearing, smell, and touch was one thing, but how was he going to work everything out with magical enemies. Maybe even taste could help him in some situations, but this didn't seem to be one.
The sounds of flickering flames reached his ears as the Heartless braced himself for some fire attack. There was no sight of fire, showing that this strange domain trick really kept away the light. It bothered his greatly, but as he held his chain in defense and tried to hear whether the fire came closer or not, he was slightly confused. The flames seemed to remain in one place. Perhaps a delayed attack, something activated and sent out later? Could even be some sort of trick, or just the opponent trying to make light, the latter was not out of question. It was quite possibly that his opponent was just trying to see if it really stayed dark when setting things on fire. Just sound cannot be trusted, his eyes kept check of where the arrow was pointed, his ears kept track of the fire. They appeared to remain in the same place.
The sounds of something else reached his ears, the Heartless wasn't even sure what to make of it. Wait... He still was braced as he suddenly got hit by the ice spell, clenching his teeth, the felt the pain hitting him. Not being able to see the orbs, he had not been able to block it with the chain as he was hit full in the chest, the pain filled him for a moment as he was getting even more annoyed by this fight. Negative emotions seemed to fuel him the most since he became a Heartless, but the man tried to keep his mind straight.
This chain isn't helpful, the man let go of the chain as he now stood completely still again, he had moved a bit backwards from the attack, even slided a bit back from the hit as it came almost unsuspected. The chain faded away the moment he let go of it and his tried another take on a weapon, this time something smaller appeared in his hands. It was somewhat light, but not as light as his normal gun. As he felt over the weapon, he understood he was now wielding his Reinforced Gun. Guns are too flashy, but no matter, he figured as he stretched out his free hand again. Again he aimed at where the arrow was pointing and the sound of fire was coming, another spell was attempted.
Instead of anything coming from his stretched arm or anything else around him happening, in the darkness it wasn't even visible what was now happening. The Heartless' skin started to darken as his mind went blank with rage, he now gained the Berserk status. Rage overtook him and with only an arrow in his vision, the berserking Heartless rushed forward with a growl. In a full sprint, the Heartless came towards Sora in a full charge attack. The sound of flames was completely ignored as the Heartless planned to charge into the opponent and rush him between himself and a wall. The growling sound and his rush might even make others think that some sort of wild creature attacked them instead of the actual opponent. Especially after "Whatever" hadn't moved or done much before, silently working and having fired one attack.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] And I'm trying not to think what I'm leaving now No deceiving now, it's time you let me know. There wasn't any certainty that he had hit his target; but then again, the boy from Destiny Islands had done his best to muffle his yells so he wouldn't be heard. Pitch dark surrounded him and all he could see was the arrow that lay before him, pointing at a person he could not see again the pitch black. There was no time to wait around to see if his Blizzaga spell had landed its mark, still hearing the roar of the crowd cheering in the stands around the maze, and thought about his next move. And then there was a slight clinking sound, like the sound of chains, coming from the same direction of his target as the arrow moved to show Sora they were being pushed back. It reminded him of the Shadow Stalker Heartless he had fought in Beast's Castle once, like a giant Darkball Heartless but locked in clinking chains. And then the clinking was silenced. Was the opponents weapon a chain, and if so why had they summoned it away? He would find out soon enough as he mentally kicked himself into action and used Guard as he heard the sound of something being either cast or powering up, strained underneath the cheering of the crowd but it was there distinguishably, and it was also gut instinct for better lack of an idea what else to do. He couldn't really move around to evade with special moves when he couldn't see the walls he had lost contact with, and if the opponent fought with long-range with hurling big objects it would deflect off his blade back at them, right? He didn't know if this was a good idea doing this blindly because he couldn't see what he was guarding against, but he felt himself lucky just as he was about to lower the blade that something connected with it, having raised it the moment he had heard the spell go off defensively. Against his blade, it wasn't a large solid object like he had been struck with before, but something moving and... was that breathing? It was continuously pushing against his blade and his arrow was pointed at it, and Sora realized more than likely it had to be his opponent making a unrelenting melee attack. Instantly, Sora knew what to do and took his chance; he would give the people watching his matches up to this point a move he hadn't used before. He immediately reversed the physical power being used against his blade and deflected it, activating Counterguard, knocking back his opponent with his keyblade and then swiping forward to attack them with a few more slashes of light. So, he had learned his opponent was a balanced fighter of melee and ranged attacks like himself, but he knew he wouldn't be able to defend and attack against all his opponent's attacks forever. With little to be able to use except the walls around them, how could he do something to win this match? ... And then he had an idea, that he felt was slowly evolving into a strategy, but it was a start. After attacking, he began moving back to the wall he had felt before he left it to attack his opponent, feeling around for one so his opponent would be facing him with his back to the wall. "Hey, um, Ygua right? My name's Sora. I hope we can be friends, and we have fun, no matter who wins this fight." he called out in a friendly manner to him, giving away where he was. Sora's Round Two Battle Theme: Shrouding Dark Cloud--- Guard: Sora stands still and blocks attacks with a reverse thrust from his keyblade. Can only block physical objects, not magic. Duration: One post. Cooldown: Two posts. Counterguard: If successfully blocking an opponents physical attack with Guard, Sora can then instantly counter with a few quick slashes of light from his keyblade at the enemy. Having lost his mind again, going into his berserking rage wasn't always helpful. A black aura now was around his body, but with the darkness of this match, his opponent was unable to see what was going on. His roar wasn't heard over the cheering of the audience, especially from the range he was at at the time, but at this moment he had gotten close. The Heartless wasn't very fond of his ability to go berserk, but in a sense it was quite helpful in this situation. His strength, speed, and stamina had increased for a short duration, so he could land several fast strong attacks.
While he was now unable to think at all, he would've figured he could weaken the opponent a fair bit during this phase if he could think. Now like some mindless Heartless, all the Heartless wanted was to crush his opponent completely. Having closed the distance between him and the boy in one charge, the suddenly 'wall' that he pushed against was suddenly there. The Heartless felt strange from just charging against the object his opponent held, if he was able to express thought, "Whatever" would understand: a Keyblade.
As a Heartless, the Keyblade attracted him to it and it was able to do worse harm than a normal weapon. Then the 'wall' suddenly moved him, pushing him back. His attack was meant to crush his opponent between him and a wall, but instead of pushing his opponent back far enough, he was pushed back. Following this, several strikes hit him as he tried to move his arms to grab ahold of the attacks, he was uanble to see his opponent, so his random flailing wasn't really working.
The Heartless came down on his feet, his face still filled with rage as his golden eyes glowed brighter than ever. In the black area, this was perhaps only visible by the audience. Similar to his current darkened form. The arrow he saw made a slight movement and a voice spoke up. The berserking man didn't understood a word of it in his current state, he would've perhaps even have been pissed if he was in his normal state, but in his current state his thought-progress wasn't working.
The Heartless charged right at Sora again, he bended his arm holding the reinforced gun, however, and roared loudly right before the place he had heard the voice and the arrow was pointing at. Then using full force, he send his arm forward with the gun held so that the barrel would be rammed right into the source of the voice: Sora's mouth.
Though, with this, he didn't end his attack. Right after ramming his arm forward, perhaps just cracking the wall, the Heartless started to spin back while leaving his right foot from the ground as he spinned on his left, aiming for Sora's right side in the spin to send the boy flying to the left.
The Cries of an Item Spiked Chain: One post cooldown. Reinforced Gun: Three post active.
The Cries of a Spell Berserk: One post active.
OOC Note Maybe should've said that my weapons do not 'flash', they fade in and out. It not like some flash happens and my character suddenly holds a weapon, instead shadows gather in his hands and form the weapon without some amazing sound effect. xD When he let go of the chain, it simply faded away, the shadows that formed it, becoming smoke. ;3 Just telling you this, so you know for a next time. ^^;;

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] When the lights go out and we open our eyes, Out there in the silence, I'll be gone, I'll be gone. His opponent didn't answer to the name Ygua; in fact his opponent didn't answer at all, and Sora had to wonder if it was because he was getting serious. And that would be good, because then Sora could get a serious challenge out of this competitior, and it seemed to be reconfirmed almost immediately after he spoke. The boy in red that should not have been seen by either opponent took this as his queue, leaping into the air, inadvertently dodging the first strike his foe made against him to crash into the wall he had purposefully put his back against. This was the start of the plan he had put into effect, but he knew he could not lead his opponent to attack the wall behind him, and expect it to work every time. He had a strategy, but it was going to take some technique and skill of use concerning his powers to pull it off. Having thought he had jumped away to safety, the boy from Destiny Island landed off to the side of where he was standing, and so did not see or anticipate Whatever's next move. There was either a sweeping punch or kick from his foe as it struck him in his left-hand side, sending him flying off from his opponent's left, which happened to be a wall that was part of a corner. As Sora's back struck the wall, feeling the breath almost knocked out of him in a similar sensation not unlike his last battle with Naminé, it was almost like his opponent had sent him through a glass window as he activated his form. Energy shattered off his body, as the crowd made their own roar at the appearance of Sora's Limit Form from the first round, now somewhat suspended in air as his powers changed his abilities as well as the colors of his clothing. He landed on the ground once more, then immediately sprung into action, initiating Ragnarok.First he did a short combo where he could see the arrow pointing at his target, then leaped into the air and charged the finishing blow of the ability called Giga Impact, shooting off sixteen lasers of light to shoot closely to where he was attacked last and home in to attack the person who opposed him. This technique would help out a lot, as while he wouldn't be able to see where his opponent was all the time since the arrow only pointed towards them, the laser would know and seek them out to damage them. This was only the beginning of part of his plan though... he didn't expect to win the match based on powerful abilities, but this was helping out significantly. While the lasers sought out the invisible opponent within the darkness, having entered Limit Form, his passive technique MP Haste activated. This would charge up his magic power that he could not use in this form, but it would become a great help for when he would exit the form, as well as his other keyblade techniques he would need to think creatively on-the-fly for whatever else this round's antagonist was going to pit against him. This was so much fun already! Sora hoped he was giving the audience a good show with his trick of leading his unseen opponent into the wall, and the laser light show of Ragnarok. This next part was going to be tricky though, and he was going to have to improvise how best to use his techniques until the right moment, and also give his audience something amazing they would not forget of watching Sora and the other person in the maze stumbling around blindly. The idea made Sora laugh a little, and lifted up his spirits, but reminded himself not to daydream too much and keep focused on the battle if he didn't want to be knocked out. He had landed on the ground after charging off and shooting the Giga Impact finisher of Ragnarok, going back into his trademark two-handed defensive position as he listened carefully towards the arrow only he could see. Sora's Round Two Battle Theme: Shrouding Dark Cloud--- Ragnarok: Sora does a short combo, then quickly charges energy into his blade; this shoots off bursts of light energy from the tip of his keyblade called Giga Impact. It's only one burst of roughly a total of sixteen light streaks, but they all home in on the target(s) aimed for. Three turn cooldown. Guard: Finished cooldown. Counterguard: Finished cooldown. Firaga: Finished cooldown (one turn early thanks to MP Haste) Blizzaga: Finished cooldown (one turn early thanks to MP Haste) MP Haste: While Sora cannot use magic spells in this form, Sora can use MP Haste to recharge his magic power before exiting this form. For any magic still on cooldown, for every round/turn he is in this form, his magic is recharged by an additional one round/turn. This does not stack with itself. Can only be used while in this form. Cannot recharge cooldowns for any powers other than magic. Can only be used for magic that is already on cooldown. (Example: Sora uses Firaga before changing into this form. MP Haste activates, and Sora stays in this form for three rounds. He recharges +1 of a one round/turn cooldown each turn in addition to the normal +1 round/turn cooldown, giving him +2 to his cooldown each turn, and so in two turns Firaga is recharged and ready to use again once he comes out of his Form. The excess cooldowns recharged are not used.) TAG Whatever SONG LYRICS I'l Be Gone by Linkin Park NOTES Hope you're enjoying this as you're reading it so far! |

While the Heartless felt his initial strike hitting something solid and damaging his own hand in the progress, he could very well feel he hit something like a flesh bag in his second attack, where he swept the opponent away. Not satisfied by only this, he heard his opponent charging a next attack and he heard the lasers rain down at him as he tried to rush through them.
With his increased stamina and strength, he had less of a problem with the lasers even though he couldn't see them. Sixteen blasts hit him and they gave quite a sting, but when the Giga Impact hit into him and stopped him in his tracks. Actually, while he took the full attack, his feet slided a bit back while the berserked Heartless held his own against the attack. In that moment, he did drop his gun, which faded away again. The pain surged through him, but only made him sprint forward again. He lifted both arms as a shield right in the direction of the arrow and the moment, he felt anything, he started his Flurry Combo. In this he pulled out a quick four strikes right at the target the arrow was pointing at and finished it off with swiping kick from his right foot.
Then his berserked state started to fade away. Understanding why he had his foot stretched out in after-kick position, the now conscious Heartless placed his foot on the ground and tried to create a weapon as he sensed he lost his old one. In his hand, his Handgun appeared, from that position he stretched his arm in the direction where his arrow was pointing and released five bullets. The sound of the bangs would give away his position, so the Heartless wasn't going to stay quiet for the moment. "Enjoying this so far?" The question was somewhat yelled as he wasn't even sure how far away the opponent was.
The Heartless sensed the pain surging through his body, meaning he had gotten quite a lot of hits while he was in his berserked state and figured the opponent wasn't dead just yet as his berserk state didn't take that incredibly long. Feeling his body as it was, he figured he was fighting quite a strong opponent and not one to take all that lightly. Best to try and avoid getting too many direct hits, he thought to himself while wondering if the opponent had many tracking spells. The Heartless then slided a bit over the ground as he tried to move his position on the field, using his hands, he tried to follow the wall in the opposite direction of where the arrow pointed at.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Let the sun fade out and another one rise Climbing though tomorrow, I'll be gone, I'll be gone.
There was a strange realization that Sora had as he prepared himself for the next attack; he had heard what sounded like his opponent crashing into the wall, but he didn't hear any yells or cries of pain. His opponent must have been really tough to have wanted to keep silent, or else he hadn't injured himself as much as Sora thought, but that only meant his opponent was that much tougher and more of a challenge! The second attack that came wasn't as enjoyable on Sora's end though, but that was expected, and wasn't the most painful attack Sora had received in his lifetime. Initiating Ragnarok's combo and shooting off its Giga Impact finisher he didn't pause to see - or rather hear - it would work, moving off into Dodge Roll, guessing his opponent would continue to his melee assault. He rolled out of the corner further into the maze, not knowing if his opponent had continued physically attacking him, but after a moment's pause the arrow had not come any closer to his position.
He decided to attack, running forward quickly with his keyblade, and suddenly he was shot by several rapid small projectiles. They felt like the bullets the pirates had shot back at him in the world of Port Royal, and that was when the boy in red learned his opponent attacked with a combination of martial arts and a gun. The blasts rang out as each of the five bullets struck him, too quick too see or sense with any of his senses coming in the darkness. But because they had been shot from a distance in the darkness, fortunately none of them had hit him in any vital areas and had only grazed his arms, legs and chest, but that still didn't mean they hadn't hurt any less. Then he heard his opponent speak to him, asking him how if he was having fun, but how had he guessed so accurately if he couldn't see him in the dark?
"Yeah, I hope you are, too!" he wasn't afraid to speak out, since his opponent would be seeing an arrow pointing at him too as Hades had said, and while he spoke he also launched forward by kicking off the wall to lead with a keyblade combo. While he hoped that might catch his opponent off guard, he also wasn't afraid to speak out and have his opponent where he was, because his words weren't going to give away what his next attack would be. He made a simple but powerful combo with his keyblade as he started with a vertical slash and then a horizontal slash, made a right-left-right series of vertical slashes, then finished with a diagonal slash from his opponent's bottom left to top right making a total of six hits in the one simple combo. He raised his keyblade as he remained close to his opponent, to move in if he started to fire off his gun again, keeping his keyblade raised defensively before him to keep his guard up. He'd keep to his strategy, but for now he was going to have to make do while he was in his Limit form, and keep his movement abilities to his advantage and change his plan on the fly if it was necessary.
The crowd hadn't cheered as loud as they had when he fired off Ragnarok, only when he and his opponent had attacked each other, and he would have to wait for a while before he could show off anything flashy. He hoped the wall-kick would at least show off some flair from his usual boring combo, and not look like he had pulled it off just for the crowd, sticking with a ground combo as he didn't want to risk missing his opponent with an aerial combo. He seemed to trust that the arrow was pointing at his opponent now and Hades wasn't pulling him into a devious trap, but the arrow didn't always keep still to show the depth of where his opponent was, and there was no telling if Hades had something still planned for them both. Or for all the participants for that matter, and he wondered how his friends from the first round were doing, Artemis and all the other participants that hadn't given him their names in the heat of battle. Still, he would have to wait until the end of the touranment to see what happened to them, and he would endeavor to make it through not only so he could win the title, but so Naminé's loss and their victory against the Ice Titan would not be in vain!

Dodge Roll: Sora can use this movement ability while in this form. Sora can roll forward, roll forward in the opposite direction, right and left while moving in order to dodge one action per turn. While in the process of rolling, he is invulnerable, negating all damage until the action ends. He can roll multiple times, but only if the offensive power used against him can hit him a consecutive amount of times in one act (such as a combo, or Ragnarok for example). One turn duration, one turn cooldown.
Ragnarok: Two turns to cooldown.

The berserking Heartless felt nothing but air when he performed his combo attack. He did aim towards the arrow and his instancts had told him that his opponent would never be able to move away that fast, so it was as if the opponent dodged it all somehow. Yet, he did had finished the combo attack before his head was clear again. His attack when his thoughts were clear again, did seem to strike something as he heard all the bullets hitting something different than them bouncing against a wall. Also the sound, since he was hearing something it, meant that it was different from being halted by magic nor did it sound like the opponent was able to strike the bullets down or away like many of his opponents had done. It's just too impossible to block them without seeing anything, he thought to himself.
The opponent responded to his question, which placed a grin on the Heartless' face. It also told him that the opponent wasn't being battered to death just yet, but quite able to continue the fight. Seems he didn't thought of me as some murderous monster, he wondered about the last time he went berserk and people he spoke with about it afterwards. They all found him more of a monster or a murderous person afterward, but this one doesn't seem to think any different.
Still, the Heartless wasn't certain yet of what kind of abilities his opponent all had. The Heartless started to move a bit back as he thought of his next option for attacks, but then he felt something fly before him. An attack? It seemed the first attack of the combo flew right before him, but the second was felt as he felt a pain into his shoulder, damn this sightless field. He figured this was more of a combination of attack and reacted to it by holding his gun out. Then using his item materialization ability, he pulled his second arm out as well. His gun's form started to enlarge and moved down rapidly as the gun turned into a large Two-Handed Greatsword.
The Heartless placed his hand against the blade to use the entire sword as a shield. The following vertical strikes, he could feel, but due to the sword in place, they were weakened and he only felt some pain in his sides as he tried to block the full attack. The final attack was also greatly weakened by blocking it with the sword, although it did hit him slightly. As he felt the strikes, he kept wondering how to deal with this further. When there didn't seem to be a following attack, the Heartless wondered: possibly went back to defense, or is moving back. He wasn't sure and so let his left hand slide away and pointed it towards where the arrow was pointing, next trick.
Activating his spell ability once again, he then felt his feet no longer touching the ground. Alright, levitating, he thought as he had activated Levitate. Grabbing hold with both hands on his greatsword suddenly, he held up his large sword and moved it sideward, spinning it a bit to point the tip towards where the arrow was pointing and his both hands on the hilt by his right side, then he started to quickly float forward in a sprint to started with a forward strike, if he felt his opponent or if the arrow would make a fast movement, he would understand he'd be close and attempted a two-strike combo. The first strike was a horizontal strike as he lifted his sword up with both hands and striked downward and immediately afterward he did another thrust attack forward. This completed two fast strikes after the first initial attack, but there was some space between them as he had to lift the entire blade and the sword wasn't very light.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] This in between us is getting thinner now, into winter now, bitter sweet Across that horizon this sun is setting down, you're forgetting now, its time you let me go, let me go.
The flash of steel was missed in the absence of light, and the victory looked far from off as of yet, as Sora's strikes went deep into the very heart of the darkness seeping into his vision. His opponent did not answer him, going silently into that good night of day once more, and it unnerved Sora slightly. His first strike flew forward into the darkness being undetermined it it struck his opponent or not, but the second he felt made a solid connection, and within the sightless black his smile strengthened a little. Feeling determined, his following strikes then hit something more solid, and he realized he must have been hitting his opponent's gun as he raised it to block. His brow knitted in steely determination, the rest of the strikes hitting the solid object the arrow was pointing at, and then Sora finished exerting his energy into the combo as he went into a defensive position again. Until he was out of his Drive form as he could not dismiss it early, getting in melee attacks with his keyblade was going to be difficult if it continued to be like this, but hey at least he got one slash in on the bright side!
The crowd wasn't cheering as enthusiastically as before, and Sora was worried his active wall-kick before the combo initially hadn't been entertaining, and he hoped everyone was having a good time. He wondered, were any of his friends sitting in the stands? Riku, Kairi... Naminé? He hoped they were! No pressure there! He didn't worry that they could be in danger with Hades lurking in the shadows nearby, as he trusted in his friends, he just hoped they were really getting as pumped up from watching the fight as he was being in it.
A massive swing from a very large metallic object slashed Sora in the chest, completely taking him by surprise. The horizontal swing tiltered him off balance in the initial shock of the weapon coming out of nowhere, and The Key That Connected To Everyone perhaps had maybe fractions of a heartbeat to register a gun wasn't the only kind of weapon his foe had, before he tilted and fell to the ground. Racked in pain, the follow-up attack was not any less merciful upon him either, as the sharp metallic object he could only feel could be a great sword of some kind like Cloud's thrust into him. Because he was on the ground and unknowing that his opponent was floating in the air, the stabbing thrust sliced across his chest horizontally as he lay side-on before his opponent on his back, and if he could see the arrow as the only source of light in his vision he could tell it was blurring slightly. He had yelped out in pain uncontrollably, so his combatant could tell his combo had succeeded, as Sora sunk dangerously towards unconsciousness.
Was this the... no, it couldn't be the end! He must have just gotten hit really bad, but he hadn't even begun to give it his all yet. He couldn't let Naminé down after she lost to him... especially if she was up in the stands right now. More importantly, he owed it to himself, and he owed it to Ygua... whatever his name was an awesome and lengthy battle to have given their all. They had only traded a few blows, was Sora really going to be defeated just from a ambush by a blade? Of course not!
But what to do? Now he was down, and while his opponent couldn't see him, he knew his defenses were down and would not let up on his attack. He was too close to move away, didn't have any ranged spells in this form, and he couldn't dodge roll in this position. If only he could attack and defend at the same time like he had intially planned... and then he had a epiphany. That was it, a sure-fire way he could turn this battle around and win this!
On his back, Sora pushed off with his feet, and started to spin in a clockwise direction. With his keyblade held in his right hand and with the blade of the key pointing diagonally outwards, he spin faster and faster, and if there was no darkness the spinning motion of his silver key would have resembled a spinning top. This was an improvisation of a backslash Sora used rarely in his aerial combos, but he improvized it so that the blade spun around and outward from his body to look like a electric fan or a blade of a blender, that he was defending and attacking at the same time in this movement. At least, his mystery contender would have to figure out how to deal with the blades whirling that he could not see in the darkness if he wanted to attack him. The spiky-haired young man could not contain his excitement that this new move would help him turn the tables and win this round, so he could move on and find out what Hades had next in store for him, as well as make the people that were in his heart proud.

He couldn't just feel, but also hear the yelping of his opponent, meaning he was doing quite some damage. Several memories went through his head where he had taken down opponents in the arena back in his time as a slave. From the yelping sound, he felt like he had just fought some young child. The voice also sounded slightly alike? Another memory flashed into his mind from back at that island where he was sleeping, wait... wasn't he there that time?
The Heartless didn't really understand what all he was thinking now. Bah... It isn't like I'm murdering someone, is it? He wasn't even sure how this Hades person thought, but the fact he had thrown them into a fight with the magma creature and the fact he actually seemed to know his name made him wonder. A grin slowly appeared on his face as he started to think how to rip Hades apart.
Well, this fight was coming to an end, he figured as he had finished his attack and there wasn't some wall of defense or a counter-attack made upon him immediately after. "First that preliminary round against the magma golem, then a fight against one I had teamed up with earlier, and now against some unknown opponent whom I can't even see," he said calm, "this tournament has been rather strange. Don't you agree?" It was perhaps a simple question, it was just something he was curious of in how his opponent would answer it. Also it allowed the opponent to catch his breath if he had been beaten down quite a bit.
The Heartless blinked twice as he heard something, an attack? He stepped a few steps back as he held his sword with both arms defensively upward, the tip was pointed more downward, so he could even use the ground for extra defense if this opponent suddenly tossed a comet at him. If some random freak with a sword and throw around comets, then it could be done by pretty much anyone, he figured for himself as he had seen the strangest things since he travelled and he thought he needed to count himself as a strange one.
Seeing no attack came, he moved his arms more down to his side and the tip up to the front for another charge. Well, nothing bad with another try at the same tactic, he thought to himself with a grin, despite hearing the crowd not really liking it. Their cheers and such had already been more towards his opponent than himself from what he had heard, apparently this guy wasn't some random unknown person... at least not on this world. While he... he looked like a loser just by going on physical appearance.
The floating Heartless charged forward again, but the sudden hit against his blade shocked him. His sword got heavily hit away and he could barely hold the blade with one hand as his other hand had slipped it. Falling away with the sword, he twirled in the air away from his opponent again. As his levitation remained active, he didn't fall to the ground. What now? He blinked confused as his arm felt painful from the sudden stretch. He let the sword hang down and gripped the hilt with both hands again as he took now more a steady stance. Seems some sort of barrier? If it is, it possibly counters any attacks... I don't have neither gun available... He then recalled his spells, always worth a try.
The Heartless let go of his sword with one hand that slided down by his side while the free hand moved to his front. With his arm stretched out, he activated his spell. Nothing happened as he activated Extension. Hmm... As there wasn't a rock flying at his opponent, he wasn't too sure what to do now.
Feeling the sword differently, he grabbed ahold of it with both hands again and let go of it with both hands before catching it again, but now with his hands turned around. He brought the sword to shoulder-height, then I'll crush through, he thought as he moved his body quickly passed as he started to charge forward again.
This time, however, he let go of the sword with one hand as he body passed the hilt. He bended his arm to fullest that was holding his sword, then moved his hand a bit as he then put his full strength and the speed he created into a throw of the entire weapon. The two-handed greatsword was thrown with all of the Heartless' might towards where the arrow was pointing, hoping to stab right through the opponent's defenses.
