The necromancer leaped back a bit, but not before one of Galian Beast's claws ripped through the fabric and into dead flesh, a dark green gas cloud shooting out of the freshly made would. Rotten, black blood also oozed out with it. By the look of the color of the gas cloud, it was a neurotoxic cloud, a diseased cloud. Xoraak phased into the rooftop, and all went silent.
Red, bloody footprints went right past Xurgon's feet, and bee-lined for Vincent. They seemed to walk everywhere, not in a straight line. Something was making those prints, but there wasn't any owner. Was it invisible?
Or non-existent?
"Watch the prints, if they start coming at you, move away,"[/color] Xurgon managed to reply, still twitching from the evil spell.

Finally. It seemed like this necromancer wasn't invincible, after all. Galian beast coughed as the neurotoxins were suddenly blasted into his face, ducking his head and leaping backwards to anticipate any attack as he transformed back into Vincent.
He didn't know if the neurotoxins would still have a status effect on him in his human form, as he felt worn from the battle, but his immune system was strong having warded off previous illnesses like Geostigma. But there was still the possibility of him being afflicted.
With Xoraak having disappeared, he heard Xurgon's words, and began to notice the red footprints streamlining towards him. If it hadn't been for the Nobody, he may not have noticed them at all, still feeling afflicted from the neurotoxic gas, and the fact the footprints had been silent and had no smell whatsoever. Was this a new attack method from Xoraak, now that his health was down, or one of his new minions?
He started jumping backwards, away from the bloody prints, waiting for the invisible being to either attack or reveal itself.

The prints stopped, then went another direction. They went in a circle, and walked toward Vincent. More prints started sticking themselves to the walls, as if more were coming. They went in circles, in wavy lines...almost like they had no direction to walk whatsoever. One of the prints stopped right next to Vincent...
...then exploded in a huge column of red energy, leaving behind a smoldering, dead crater. What was that, death magic? The column didn't stop the other prints from their chaotic walks. This was a deadly scenario.
"Not only does he get you if you're standing still, he gets you if you stand on one of the prints! Make him angry, then he will emerge."
The problem with the last one was, there were prints EVERYWHERE!

Suddenly the demon man was blown off his feet after he landed and was unable to avoid a set of prints, having played the deadly game of dodging the moving mines and ultimately loosing. He was thrown backwards as the explosion did not engulf him entirely, but still made a direct hit, throwing Vincent through a wall and into a house, collapsing on top of him.
There was silence for a moment as the dust cleared, and then a sudden flash of deep crimson light pulsed through the area, shaking the foundations of the very earth itself. There was an inhuman roar, and suddenly bursting out of the rubble came a creature that Vincent had not already been before. Vincent had cycled through all of his forms now, and if Xoraak had wished to coax out the true beast within Vincent, he had gotten his wish.
Chaos, now temporarily taking control of Vincent, burst out of the rubble and took wing into the sky, spreading his massive tattered demon wings. Bringing to bear his Death Penalty gun, Chaos sought to flush the rat that had been tormenting his host's body, and instantly without hesitating fired down at one of the houses below with a powered shot from his gun. The house exploded near Xurgon, the bloody explosive footprints and the house he already demolished, flaming upwards in a blaze of burnt wood and ash.
Chaos's pupiless eyes scanned the area below, hoping he had traded blow for blow. Suddenly he shook his head, and Vincent had regained control. What had Chaos done? He could have killed innocents, or even further injured Xurgon! But it was too late for all that now. Now the demon was out of the bag, so to speak, he could finally fight at his full power...

All the prints gathered in one spot, and Xoraak made his flashy entrance through a giant column of red, sparking energy. He had a huge smile on his face, and a crazy stare in his eye. He then clapped in a giddy motion, [glow=red,2,300]"Oh this is wonderful! So much destruction! I love it! Finally, the true monster is revealed, and it certainly is a wonderful demon! Yes yes yes! This is grand!"[/glow]
Xurgon managed to avoid the explosions, and the debris that followed. He could hardly stand anymore, having been hit repeatedly by those spells earlier. He noticed Chaos, and simply gave a questioned stare. That stare was broken when he felt something tug at multiple places on his back. The psychic was yanked backward, and in front of the necromancer.
[glow=red,2,300]"You have your demon, and I have mine. Now, my creation, unlock YOUR true potential! Unleash the monster! Your creator demands it!"[/glow]
Beams of green light shot forward from the orb of the staff, and illuminating Xurgon's body. The beams of light changed to energy, becoming ugly-green bolts. Xurgon started to actually change. It was a...very painful process. At first, he just changed to the Nightmare Eater phase, then it went further than that.
Instead of patches of blackness, he was entirely covered in darkness, practically writhing in it. Due to the combination of many different energies, he couldn't change back. Xurgon grew a couple feet more, and he officially grew claws. The face shifted to become almost lizard-like, with the teeth so large, there had to be few of them, and evenly spaced apart, if the mouth were to shut fully. The hair became spines, and the legs bent three ways, the feet ending in large claws. The new form stood on four feet, then rose up on two, the spine hunching over to give it a more primitive look. The bulky, spiky tail gave it balance. It seemed to be taller up on two feet. Spikes, spines, and horns grew from all over its' body.
In short, this thing looked completely ALIEN.
The abnormally bright yellow eyes gave off their own beams of light, acting like searchlights at a prison yard. The muscular thing saw Xoraak first, and tried to attack him.
Xoraak was out of its range, it bouncing with a futile gesture upon flat ground.
[glow=red,2,300]"There is your target, beast! Destroy it! He harmed you in any way possible, now fight back!"[/glow]
The primitive creature believed the lie, and charged after Chaos, its speed highly deceptive to its slow appearance. It may not have had wings, but it did have a jumping ability equivalent to flying. Unfortunately, it had to find other methods of staying in the air, as the laws of gravity did apply here. By the look of those claws, it could gore into the thickest of armor.
The necromancer above kept channeling the new energy into the form, feeding it power to destroy the new foe. What would happen if he stopped feeding the form?

The Chaos demon watched as the necromancer transformed Xurgon into an alien-like creature. Now Xoraak had finally shown himself, it was payback time. Plus, he was obviously feeding energy to powerup Xurgon to fight him, so to him the answer was simple what he would do next.
He dived down from the heavens like a speeding bullet, streaks following after his tattered wings. Then suddenly, he was gone. Next minute, he had appeared in the blink of an eye in front of Xoraak, brandishing from his arm his Chaos Blade in one fraction of a second, and thrusting it towards the necromancer's chest the next.

The staff dropped, but was still feeding the form energy. The blade went right through, black blood slicking the blade. Xoraak simply looked down at it, then back up at Chaos, and gave the most disturbing grin. He walked right into the blade, pushing it further through his chest, until he was face to face with the demon.
He was laughing in the demon's face.
The necromancer suddenly convulsed, and the gray eye changed to a hazy red. The fangs in his mouth grew longer, and his robes shifted to plate armor. A thick, curvy demonic sword appeared in one hand, green fire oozing from the grooves in the sides of the blade. The helmet became official, fusing to his head and changing it to a solid dragon skull, jaws and all. His metal wings started to web out and crack, the metal chunks falling away to reveal big, black leathery bat wings beneath.
Just as he was about to swing that massive sword, a black mass barreled him into the ground. It was that...thing! It pinned down the necromancer and attempted to rip him apart, but was held back by the fiery sword. The bulky tail came down, and splintered Xoraak's legs from top to feet. The toxic cloud was present again, but there was more of it this time, and much more when the beast started to rip into the necromancer with a savage and primitive fury. There was hardly anything left, just a ruined skeleton with bits of cloth and flesh on it.
The skeleton crumbled away, the staff along with it.
Xurgon was still in the beastly form. The form sat down on its haunches, like a cat, and silently regarded Chaos, as if attempting to say hello.

Chaos and Vincent both didn't understand it. First they stabbed Xoraak in the chest, hoping to hit a weak spot or break apart his form. Instead, the reverse affect happened, and he somehow got more powerful. Then the beast that Xurgon had become had turned on the necromancer when he should have had control over him, and smashed apart his newly strengthened form. So Xurgon had been waiting all this time for Xurgon to power him up, right after the red flurry spells had weakened him, and suddenly he had broken Xoraak's hold over him to somehow destroy instantly a newly empowered form of his? This new beast Xurgon had become was probably even more powerful than Chaos now.
Chaos nodded slightly at him, supposing it was fitting since Xoraak was his rival he had to conquer over, his story to act out. But Vincent within Chaos didn't expect this to be over, not after all the fighting he had done just to stay alive. He expected this to be another illusion, another trick Xoraak was pulling. There was no way the necromancer had been killed by Xurgon in mere seconds, not after all he had labored to weaken him for him.
[glow=red,2,300]"Where is he? Are we expecting more footprints of his again, or another trick this time?"[/glow] Vincent's voice spoke through Chaos, looking around observantly. Where was Xoraak hiding this time, and what was he planning to attack them with next?

The monster started talking, wisps of smoke rising from its mouth, [glow=yellow,2,300]"This is not over. Not by a long shot. His kind can revive themselves in their homeworld. I did kill him, yes, but he isn't truly dead. He'll be back with more minions, each stronger than the ones we fought here. He may even bring his own wyrms to freeze us in place."[/glow]
The alien monster twitched, then started to shrink, darkness coming off of him in clouds. He was Xurgon again, confused and dazed. The psychic looked completely normal. He rolled a shoulder, "Whenever I absorb too much darkness, I simply take another shape to hold in the excess darkness. It could be any random shape. If that happens...punch me in the face. Punch me good."
He rose, looking over himself at the collateral damage. He was a wreck. The place was a wreck, the ground was a wreck, and there was the stink of decay everywhere. Not to mention the cloud of toxic fog clinging to the ground below. It looked like one bad horror film. When the necromancer left his mark, he wasn't kidding.
Xurgon picked up the sword the necromancer used earlier. It was hardly on fire without it's master wielding it. The entire sword was a dark green, with grooves in the blades where the green fire was pouring out. The crosspiece was shaped like bat wings, and the pommel was made of a red crystal material. This sword was clearly for hacking not just bodies.
"Hmm...interesting choice of weapon...."

((Ah! So he was in his Nightmare Eater form, he just took another shape. If you mentioned this earlier, I think I would have understood your way of thinking.))
[glow=red,2,300]"So I grind his bones next time I he presents himself. Understood."[/glow]
There was a flash of red light, and Chaos transformed back into Vincent as the crimson aura faded. He disreguarded the sword, thinking about what Xoraak had mentioned about earlier. "This artifact he seeks... what is it's description? I can keep an eye out for it if you like." he offered.
((That's what you wanted Vincent to ask Xurgon that we discusssed preivously, right?))

The psychic drove down the sword, embedding it blade down into the ground. He took a look at the ruined landscape, all the while not turning to face Vincent, "This artifact I can sense, but not see. Someone already has it, which explains why it continues to move constantly. You can sense it too. Branch out your mind across the threads of darkness. Anybody of darkness can sense it, since it has a constant flux and shift in power surges."
His head snapped up, and red runes began to flash angrily through his clothing, "There's the flux again. Where is it coming from...?"
That was when the sword flung itself up out of the ground, and took a slice at Xurgon's head. It missed, since it was a clumsy swing, but Xurgon was surprised at the sudden movement, and made a cut across his cheek.
The evil sword was now back in the hands of an angry necromancer, using those previously metal wings to stay aloft in the air!
He roared an inhuman battlecry, which caused Xurgon to emit an escape cry, "Run!"

"I'll keep my senses open for this artifact." the demon man said curtly to Xurgon, folding his arms.
And then the sword came back to life.
Vincent didn't need to be told twice, or even once. He was exhausted from the first battle with the necromancer, and didn't want to get himself involved with a second, or more unending battles after that. In fact, he hadn't wanted to get involved with Xoraak, his skeletal dogs or his carrion worms in the first place.
As he ran through the demolished streets, a sudden dark portal opened up in an alleyway before him, which made him pause for a few seconds. He wanted to get off-world, but he didn't exactly want to abandon Xurgon to the reincarnated necromancer, either.
"This way." he said to the Nobody quickly, unaware of the teleportation powers he had, "... but, before I came here, I had unresolved business. We must go our seperate ways... I trust you can survive on your own."
And with that, he jumped through the dark portal, unaware that it was already shutting behind him'
Vincent has left the thread.
((I have to close a few threads and I went on long enough, so see you in the next one Xurg! It was fun!))

Xurgon briefly nodded, then suddenly stopped short as the necromancer popped up in front of him. He had hardly any time to react as a transparent, green, iron maiden decided to shut itself on him. He was brought down through a portal that opened up in the floor.
The undead monster smirked evilly, and cackled, [glow=red,2,300]"It's the Pits for you."[/glow]
He too vanished, but in a flurry of souls screaming toward the sky.
