Vincent Valentine looked curiously around the area, having gone off alone once again to explore the new worlds in this strange new universe. His path here had led him to a pass high in the snowy mountains above a Chinese province; there was no snow falling, but a chilling wind swept at Vincent's coat every once and again. He was thankful for wearing full-length clothing, his feet crunching underfoot as he walked a path up the mountain on new fallen snow.
He looked around at the mountains towering above him, having come to a small clearing, which seemed like a dead end. Nothing more to see here. Vincent turned around, his cape billowing behind him as he did, and went back the way he came.
Suddenly his vampire-like senses began to tingle; he sensed something, a presence, a power coming somewhere from nearby. He didn't know if the object, or person, was here or coming here; he had trouble smelling or hearing them amongst the snowy weather. Suddenly he whipped around, pointing his gun behind him. There a dark portal had appeared. Someone was coming out of it.
"Who's there?" he demanded threateningly.

Xaldin heard the words spoken as he walked out. Wind was his element and though many would lose what was said in it, he heard it all. But he did not care for the moment, right now he was savoring this windy place. Taking a deep breath and letting the wind whip around him playing with the hem of his long leather coat he removed his hood to better fell the air on his face. His dreadlocks, which often seemed alive even when there was no wind, now looked like they lived swimming in the air around him.
After he was there for a long moment he looked upon the man that spoke to him, “Why does it matter who I am? I am simply here to enjoy this wonderful weather.” He spread his arms out letting the wind play more with his sleeves, “what is a man who looks so cold and miserable doing in a place like this mountain top?”

Earlier, he had been thinking because of her heritage in Wutai, Yuffie could take a liking to a world like this, if she was with him. But he was suddenly thankful she wasn't, as the man stepped out of the portal. He wore a menacing expression, even if he did claim he was up here to relax. Vincent's own black hair was tassled by the wind as he considered what he man said, and lowered his gun. However, he did not put it away, meaning he did not completely trust the man.
"You're a Nobody." he said, identifying the man's black hooded coat. He had met a Nobody previously, Demyx, and had learnt all about them. He considered the man's question, then answered, "A man who has already met death... like yourself." he said suggestively, a secretive smirk tuggling at the edge of his lips.

Xaldin gave a small bow of his head when the other announced that Xaldin was a nobody, his smirk on his face. It seemed that the knowledge of the Organization XIII was growing more each day.
“Just because you have met death still does not explain why you are here.” He looked around, “Many of my brethren would not come up here willingly. Just because you once died does not mean you have a wish to face raw elements such as this. You never know when a strong gust will come and push you over.” And it was true. Even if Xaldin did not move the wind at all one could come and take the skinner of them off to who knows where. Xaldin did notice that the man still held his gun, but that did not matter, Xaldin had the upper hand on this hill if a fight did break out. Unless the man was a fellow wind wielder that would be interesting

"It does mean I do not fear it." Vincent answered curtly, unsure if he liked the man's tone. He sounded like he either respected the elements, or that he knew something Vincent didn't. Either way, Vincent was sure the Nobody was eager to find out his purpose here.
"I am not of this world, freely exploring what I have not seen." he finally answered the cloaked figure's question, and followed up in kind, curious as to the nature of it, suspicious if it was to be followed with a threat. "Am I tresspassing?" He tightened the grip on his gun.

Xaldin laughed at the other man, “Oh no, and if you are so am I. To my knowledge this land is not really owned, though probably territory for the country down below.” He pulled out his flask and took a deep swig from it and offered it to the other man, “this will help warm you up if you are cold.” Xaldin always kept sake with him, though flask was an understatement. this flask was about 2 liters in size
“It is nice to come p here, I guess I am just not use to seeing people around is all” he smirked, “not even the locals will come up here. If you are not from around here were might I ask are you from? Lots of people pass around worlds, I have met some from this universe and some not,” he said thinking about the meeting he had with Sack and Sephiroth

Vincent was surprised at the man suddenly laughing at him, a different attitude to the one he had before, and the postive reinforcement made him doubt if the man's intentions were truly hostile at all. But the man taking a swig of his sake bottle, then offering it to Vincent, seemed to at last, make him put Cereberus, his handgun, back into it's holder. If whatever in the bottle was poison, then he wouldn't have druken from it, so it must have been reasonably safe. He took a polite sip, and handed it back to him.
"I came from a world we call Gaia." Vincent said, giving him the truth rather than elusive answers this time. He wondered if Nobodies had a world of their own. "And you?" he asked him, expecting him to answer the same question.

Xaldin thought a moment, “Do you mean before I died or after?” It was not that Xaldin had any illwill against the one in front of him. Hell unless this guy tried to kill him what did he care? Xemnas had not started them back on heart collecting so that was not as if he needed to beat this man for his heart.
Xaldin did notice that the man put his gun away so Xaldin calmed his mind more and with that the whipping wind calmed down a bit, though it still stirred their cloaks and their hair it was not as powerful as it once was. Xaldin made a face not realizing that he had been doing that

Vincent opened his eyes a little more as the wind died down, noticing the suttle face expression along with a slight decrease in the man's power he had sensed earlier. Interesting... he would have to ask about that later.
"After, your world now. When you became a nobody, you were not in the same world?" Vincent questioned, a little oddly. Yes, on his planet, when people died they were taken into the Lifestream - which could be called another world - if such a place existed. But Vincent was curious now if Nobodies went to a different place than where they died, it intrigued him.

Xaldin shrugged, “Well I am not to sure. Some stay on the worlds they where at. I know that we collect other nobodies from their home worlds.” He took another swig of his sake, “Though I am now from The World That Never Was. Originally I was from Hollow Bastion or called Radiant Garden.” He looked at the other male in the eyes, “So it just depends. Because I am one of the original some of the new ruled did not apply to me. Because we were not to exist we now have the world of our own, that was not ment to exist.”
Well that was on way to put it. Though he was not totally sure if that was right. Vexen said something about it once but that was a long time ago and would require Xaldin trying to remember everything that the chilly academic said… and lets just say that man could talk on and on and on. Xaldin sighed and offered the bottle to the other man again

"...one of the original...?" Vincent questioned. Every time the man gave him information about his origins, it seemed to lead to more questions in Vincent's mind. He took the drink offered to him, waiting for Xaldin to reply, then said, "So by 'originals', you mean others like you came from Radient Garden originally?"
The cold wind continued to blow past them, and Vincent didn't lift a hand to brsh back any hair or snow that blew in his face. He thought his own past was complex, but this Nobody history sounded like it was going to be just as much. Why was he so interested? Was it because he wanted to know the origins of the inhabitants of this universe? Or that he could use the information to his advantage later if the Nobodies proved to be enemies... or allies? He wasn't sure himself.

Xaldin eyed this man, “For knowing about the nobodies you do not seem to know much.” He looked Vincent over wondering who gave him the information in the first place. If they did they sure did not fill him in on much. And it was true Xaldin was open to telling people about them and their creation (at least when the mood hit and up here in his element was a good place to catch him) but he was good not to tell their inner workings.
Sighing Xaldin begain, “There are 6 of us who are the original nobodies, yes we came from Radient Garden and now we are not. Simple as that I guess, unless you talk to IV… he will make it more complicated” Xaldin rolled his eyes, “we now have XIII members though, as we find powerful nobodies they join us.”

"XIII members?" Vincent repeated, keeping the conversation rolling. Interesting... so the Nobodies had gathered together to form some kind of group, unlike the sloppy gathering of the Heartless. For what purpose, we was not sure. Maybe Nobodies, having no heart, envied those who did and prefered to be with their own kind.
"So what is your teammate's purpose? To reclaim the hearts that were once lost from you, perhaps?" he inquired intelligently. "And The World That Never Was... can anyone go there?" He wondered what such a world looked like that was created specifically for the Nobodies. A world without a heart, just a former husk of it's former planet?

Xaldin smirked, “Yes, there are XIII of us who have come together. Our goal is to get our hearts back, yes.” Though he did not touch on how for a reason. He was not feeling in the mood for a fight, be it with words over the morals of how they went about getting their own hearts back or physical to stop Xaldin. He did come up here to relax and that was just what he was going to do.
Xaldin thought a moment, “I am sure others can. I know the brat that killed us once showed up there. As well as his friends,” He shrugged, “Or so I have been told, I was dead at the time. Well they appeared there and heartless roam around so I am sure others could if they wanted to and knew where to look for it?”

"You don't sound so sure." Vincent smiled in amusement. Vincent was content with talking - he was getting a lot of information about the forces of power in this world than he had bargained for. And every question he seemed to ask brought up more questions.
"How is it possible you died a second time, and yet here you are? Are you immortal?" he questioned curiously, wondering if he had found someone simular to his own nature. "And this 'brat' you speak of that killed your XIII group, why did they come after you? What was their motovation?" Vincent asked further, wondering who had the most malicious intentions. Even though good and evil were clearer in this world than the world he came from, he still didn't judge, prefering to see things in shades of grey.
