A hooded figure stood in the middle of the circular room of the Castle Chapel, a low sigh passing through his lips. Generally he would not succumb to such an expression, but Marluxia was truly beginning to feel the gravity of his situation. He shook the doubts from his head, he needed his head to be clear for the meeting that was about to take place. If Larxene were to sense his doubts...
Marluxia could not afford to lose her, she was probably the only Organization member that would even consider standing by him at this point, and he knew that she was not happy with him. His long absence, although inexplicable, had certainly enraged the Savage Nymph regardless of her emotionally empty shell. He brought his hands up to his hood and pulled it off, the already pungent scent that Marluxia exuded become stronger with the motion.
He cleared his throat with a cough and crossed his arms, he needed this meeting to go well or Marluxia was truly isolated. He was not afraid of that situation, no one would strike out openly against him, that he was sure of, at least unless Xemnas gives the order. Marluxia once more shook the doubts out of his mind, he could manage what was happening, and by himself if need be.
"Larxene..." The name rolled off of his tongue softly, almost as if it wasn't spoke at all. But the quiet uttering of the Savage Nymph's name had more meaning then Marluxia listening to himself talking, it was also the Graceful Assassin beckoning Larxene to appear before him. Would she appear? Marluxia had no way of knowing, but he needed to see if he had any allies in the scheme of things, and Larxene had been that to him in the past.

Larxene had heard her name. Did that pink haired, tree hugging, form of a man truly think she would come when called? He had not bothered with her for months and had just disappeared at the most inconvenient times. She had managed to keep herself out of trouble and try and sneak her way back into the ranks of the Organization. Lar had managed to avoid suspicion and he was calling her out.
Larxene did not appear as soon as she heard her name, she took her time. But after pacing for the amount of time she did, she portalled to Marluxia.
With her arms folded, she kept her hood pulled over her head. But she kept quiet for a moment, deciding if she truly wanted to be there. No, she did not want to be there. Still, maybe she was hoping he'd breakdown or apologize or something. You never want to miss a chance to poke at an insecure person.
"What the hell do you want." Larxene did not look up, nor remove her hood. She just stayed leaned against a wall, arms still folded. "Make it quick, I don't want to be seen with you." It was now Marluxia's move. It was like a game of chess, and she was tired of being the pawn.

Marluxia waited patiently, he didn't expect Larxene to appear instantly like she used to, back when Marluxia was lord of Castle Oblivion and things were going somewhat well for them. He felt a spike of pretend rage as he thought of who was to blame for both of their downfalls, Axel. Certainly it was Sora that had dealt the killing blow for each of them, but things would have gone more then excellent had Axel not ruined them.
He waved the Flurry of Dancing Flames from his mind, thinking of that wretch would do nothing for him at this point. No, he would have to think of some other way to deal with Axel in the future, but at this point he was in no position to be doing anything... Finally his thoughts were broken when a dark portal appeared. Unfortunately Marluxia could tell just how angry Larxene was from the heavy thud of his footsteps, this meeting would not go well, but he had not expected differently.
To long had he left Larxene to her own devices. He knew that to be a mistake, but one that he could not easily rectify. He bowed his head slightly as Larxene stood in front of him, though with her hood up. If it were down Marluxia was sure that her normally fair face would be contorted in rage, Larxene never had a problem with acting like she had emotions with the most commonly portrayed one being anger.
He refrained from smirking at her words, didn't want to be seen with him? Had he really fallen so far that Larxene stood to lose from being in his presence? He shook the thoughts from his head, Larxene was playing him. He couldn't believe that he had almost believed that there were real implications behind that statement. Marluxia brought his mind back to the Nobody in front of him, he needed to play his cards perfectly, otherwise this meeting would go all to wrong.
Marluxia observed Larxene with his cobalt colored eyes for a moment, though he could not gleam anything of his features under the darkness the hood threw over her face. "I owe you an apology Larxene." Marluxia meant the apology as much as any Nobody could, which meant not at all. But he knew that the words would possibly take the Savage Nymph off guard, and possibly even defuse some of her anger.
Marluxia took a step to the side so that he was facing away from Larxene, more for dramatic effect then anything else as he continued speaking. "I am at fault for many of the things that have happened to you, least of which is no other then the event of your death at the hands of Sora. I played my cards to confidently, I was arrogant and a fool as well."
He turned back around and looked at Larxene again, though it gained him nothing because of the hood. "I have come to the conclusion that it was a mistake to attempt to take over the Organization, that we have to much to lose and little to gain. I have come to understand that for the time being that mutiny will get us nowhere, that even if we managed to overthrow the Organization that few, if any, would follow my rule."
Marluxia held his hand out towards Larxene, speaking once more to explain the movement. "I ask nothing from you except a new beginning Larxene, for a clean slate..." He doubted that the Savage Nymph would go for it, but he felt that at the very least he would make a good impression, a strong start.

Larxene, from Marluxia's view, seemed serious, strong and ready for this arguement. But she really wasn't sure how to go about this situation. Marluxia was the closest thing she had to finding the heart she truly wanted. The Organization as a whole were too currupt to manage the hearts. So, she had joined Marluxia.
Yet, she listened very closely to Marluxia's words. From her body language, Lar seemed to not be paying any attention. In fact, she was hanging on his every word. So, he owed her an appology? Really? Was he being serious about this or was it a plan to trick her. She wasn't very sure about that. It had caught her extremely offguard.
He had admitted his faults and was attempting to make ammends. This was unlike Marluxia. But he was wrong. The Organization was not really forwarding their goals. The filling of Kingdom Hearts was not going to get them as far as they wanted to go. Marluxia would be a better leader than Xemnas. But no one trusted Marluxia like they did Xemnas. At times, Marly seemed to be out only for himself.
Larxene felt herself straighten up when Marluxia looked back at her. She had not meant to seem so engrossed that she has leaned forward to listen. Now she was trying to seem uninterested again. Well, that did not last very long. He continued about a clean slate. This is where she pulled her hood off her head, an irritated expression appeared.
"A clean slate, my ass!" She was not happy with him now. Just get rid of everything? "There is no way you can do that in real life. You know better then that! I refuse to do such a thing" She swiftly folded her arms once more.

Marluxia once again was forced to a suppress a smirk as Larxene told him off about a clean slate. He had known for certain that Larxene would say something of the sort, it would be out of character for her to do anything else. He let his arm fall to his side, at least Larxene had taken her hood off and now he could see her face. He had a feeling that Larxene had been hanging off his words more then he had first thought, her motion when he turned to look at her had signaled as much.
That didn't make a difference though, one mistake could ruin the whole conversation. He had to keep his tongue in check until they were back to how their relationship used to be. He considered how to go on from this point, though he had imagined how this meeting could go before he contacted Larxene, and had a good idea of where to go next. He decided not to respond to her about the topic of clean slates, there was no need to go into that any further then they already had.
He instead decided to address another issue, one that Larxene would certainly be interested in. He had stated that he would not be attempting to betray the Organization again, and he knew that Larxene would be disappointed to hear that. But he had logical reasons, ones that should be able to convince Larxene. "When I earlier stated that it was mistake to attempt to overthrow the Organization I do not mean that I have completely abandoned such ambitions." Marluxia allowed a little silence so that the beginning of his statement could sink in.
Marluxia took a few steps to the side, going on once more. "The situation is even more complicated then before. We know longer have just the plots of other members in the Organization to worry up, and our most challenging task would no longer be defeating Xemnas and keeping his position. It will be the interference of others, the Heartless, the Keyblader's, even other Nobody's. The amount of all of these things has increased dramatically, and there are many of them that have some grudge against the Organization for one reason or another. Xemnas knows far more about this situation then I do at this time, and to attempt another uprising in power would be extremely dangerous and also incredibly foolish."
Marluxia wanted the gravity of the situation to sink in on Larxene. Even if they somehow managed to defeat Xemnas and gain the support of a few of the other Nobody's, the Organization would be to weak. Some faction would strike out at them, hoping to erase one of its most powerful rivals. This would gain them nothing, and because of that Marluxia knew that even if Xemnas could not lead them anywhere in the near future, he could still keep the Organization strong by keeping it together. "As much as I hate to admit it Larxene, Xemnas is the glue that holds this Organization together. Without him.... Everything falls apart."

Marluxia seemed to be smooth-talking as he normally did. He always had this knack of getting himself out of trouble. But Larx was going to give him as much trouble as she could. This was not going to be let off with a few short words and a smile. No, it was not that simple. "When I earlier stated that it was mistake to attempt to overthrow the Organization I do not mean that I have completely abandoned such ambitions." Larxene folded her arms at the statement. He was almost crossing the contradicting line. He didn't regret it, but he did regret it. Lar was about to comment, her mouth open to respond and everything, but Marly simply continued as if it was all one continuing thought. "The situation is even more complicated then before. We know longer have just the plots of other members in the Organization to worry up, and our most challenging task would no longer be defeating Xemnas and keeping his position...... and to attempt another uprising in power would be extremely dangerous and also incredibly foolish." Foolish? Everything they had done before was foolish. Why was now so important. Was it the human heartless? They didn't look too powerful at all. Larxene just looked away, a very annoyed expression plain on her face. "As much as I hate to admit it Larxene, Xemnas is the glue that holds this Organization together. Without him.... Everything falls apart." "Yah....of course. Follow Xemnas, hope he doesn't want us dead for betraying him. Everything will just be so peachy and work out. It's worked so well before." The comment was stated with a rather calm demeanor, in comparison to her expressions. Her arms remained crossed and she stayed leaned against the wall.

Marluxia could tell Larxene was annoyed, she was easy to read. Almost like a mirror image to Marluxia's lack of emotions, Larxene was practically a master of pretending that she had a heart. Marluxia didn't see a point to acting in such a manner, but he took amusement from the futility of Larxene's act. How she pretended to be angry, or annoyed, showing the expressions, wearing them like a mask. But Marluxia did not wear those masks, there was only one that he wore. Marluxia wore the mask of his true self, of the emptiness that he really was, an embodiment of nothing.
Marluxia cast a glance at Larxene, observing her. She wore an expression of annoyance, her arms were crossed, and she was leaning against the wall. It was obvious that Larxene did not care for the turns that the conversation was taking, but that was of no consequence to the Graceful Assassin. He was completely confident that Larxene would return to his side, for no better reason then to have something resembling a purpose. Marluxia knew that she could not find the companionship in the other Nobody's that she found in him, none of the others were nearly as fond of her as Marluxia was.
Marluxia said nothing for a moment as Larxene spoke, her voice portraying none of the annoyance that her face did, though he did note the dryness in her words. He remained silent for a few more moments, he knew much more about the situation then Larxene, though that was not surprising to XI. He had made much progress in the Organization recently, speaking to Saix, and even the Superior himself. He had learned much, and had ensured that at least his own place in the Organization was secure for now. He did not know so much of Larxene's, but he was sure that they would have a use for her as well.
"Xemnas has given me my task, personally, Larxene. The Organization has use for us, and because of that we will not be eliminated. Of course, we'll have to remain useful to the Organization, less the Superior does decide that we are nothing but dead weight, though I am certain we can prevent that conclusion." Marluxia turned around, looking at Larxene once again. She would most likely be annoyed with this news as well, but it would do more then telling her that their fate was still up to Xemnas, that no decision had been made yet.
Marluxia's normally empty face suddenly became more serious, he wanted to make sure Larxene would pay attention to what he said next. "Let me make this abundantly clear, Larxene. We are hanging on a thread here, most of the other Nobody's wish us to be eliminated, and the only chance we have at this moment is to seek safety from Xemnas' wishes. I do not like this situation, but it is one we must deal with. Now if you wish to attempt to avoid elimination on your own, then you are fully capable of making your own choice. I, however, will not allow myself to be eliminated, and I will not lose this second chance to regain my heart."

Larxene used her 'emotions' to attempt to blend in a little more. It was something to do, something to practice. It became repetitive if you spoke and acted the same way all the time. This is why she thought a heart would be a nice change of pace. She's actually feel how each of the emotions would play and what would truly trigger it. Though, she could get over not having one too. She's coped this long, another few years wouldn't kill her, for all she knew. Marluxia could go around with his monotone voice and blank expressions all he wanted.
Though, Marluxia was right. She was nowhere near having more 'friends' like Marluxia. Marly was the only one who could put up with her 'temper-tantrums' if you will. She had gotten close to Vexen and Demyx a while back, but they seemed to revert and forget anything they had talked about before. Demyx was back to his scaredy cat self and Vexen had his nose in the lab. She did need Marluxia, you can only read Marques De Sade books so many times.
"Yah, use for us now. But who says he's not going to turn around and change his mind in a month or so. There is a point where we aren't as useful as before." They couldn't run around and do his bidding all the time. It would get tiresome. But as soon as they would stop being so helpful, they might as well be dead.
Marluxia made his closing statement, per say, and she shook her head. As much as she hated Xemnas, he was probably their safest bet, at least till everything cooled down. "Whatever." The sharp-tongued Nobody was out of sassy remarks!

Marluxia had thought of Larxene's hypothetical question several times already, what if the Superior did see no use for them? How long would they have in his protection? One month? Two? A year? More? Marluxia could not say, but he would not allow himself to fall to the Superior, or anyone else in the Organization for that matter. He would not allow any of them the satisfaction of bringing him down. If Marluxia were to fall, he would rather it be because of his own devices, and not the plots of others.
"I am not suggesting that we be fools, Larxene. We will of course keep an eye out on everyone around us." Although Marluxia did not say it aloud, he was heavily implying that Larxene was the only Nobody that he trusted in the Organization. This was true, though Marluxia did not truly trust anyone. Instead, Larxene was the only Nobody that he was willing to rely on in any sort of important manner, she was not prone to failing him when it counted. "If Xemnas does intend to do away with us, then I will have no qualms of becoming a thorn in his side." The term was cliche, but it worked as well as any other one would.
Marluxia felt a small sense of victory as Larxene gave a casual whatever, if the Savage Nymph had no vicious retort to what Marluxia was saying, then that meant that she had been convinced. Regardless of whether or not it was Larxene that wanted to be convinced, or if Marluxia had truly convinced her, their former relationship was closely coming back to what it had used to be before their elimination. Marluxia was glad of this, it was difficult not to have Larxene at his side sometimes, she had been his right hand and he looked forward to her returning to that position.
Marluxia gave a small nod. "It is good that we are once again on the same page, Larxene. I found my repertoire somewhat lacking without you at my side." The statement was true enough, though Marluxia knew that if he fed Larxene's ego enough she would become even more loyal to him. To put it simply, no man made Larxene feel the way that Marluxia made her feel.

Larxene listened, a bit more open to some of his suggestions. But she was still angry with him and it wouldn't go away till he earned it back. "I got that, I wasn't going to let my guard down. That'd be suicidal. But what's the backup plan if something goes sour. Hm?" She wanted to know what they were going to do if Xemnas turned against them. Though, she was now accepting the idea of working with Marluxia again. She knew Marluxia could be, as he put it, a 'thorn in the side'. Yet, she was just worried about being killed off. Then again, the old saying goes, "Keep your friends close, your enemies closer." Guess they'd be waiting things out to see how it all turned out this round. Maybe working for Xemnas would help them. 'It is good that we are once again on the same page, Larxene. I found my repertoire somewhat lacking without you at my side.' "Aww. Really? That's so sentimental." She was being extremely sarcastic with her tone. "I feel so much better now, knowing that you missed me for the past few months. I mean, it's not like you abandoned me or anything. Not at all." Larx had started again. But it was already decided she was going to help him out again. Larx still wasn't going to let it go. He still hadn't apologized. Not that it would mean much.

Marluxia was not foolish enough to enter an arrangement with Xemnas without a back-up plan, something to fall on if the Superior were to decide that he no longer required the Graceful Assassin. For some reason Marluxia doubted that Xemnas would do that though, he wished for Kingdom Hearts and attacking members of his Organization would not help. There were too many enemies for Xemnas to do away with the Nobody's he commanded. The Heartless were becoming stronger then ever, the Warriors of Light were filled with many various heroes, and there was still the threat of other sentient Nobody's that may wish harm upon the XIII.
"In the hypothetical situation that Xemnas no longer requires us, we will be more then prepared to make sure that he regrets the choice. In the past few months I have not merely abandoned you for nothing, Larxene. I have been collecting contacts, people who could join us in a struggle against Xemnas if the need were to arise. I would prefer if this possibility did not become a reality, but we will not be easy to snuff out should that happen."
Marluxia couldn't have afforded to have Larxene at his side while he enlisted these people, she did not have a civil tongue. He could have imagined several situations were the Savage Nymph would have ruined everything. Still, he supposed that he owed Larxene an apology, simply because it would be wise to appease her, she was at the time the only ally in the Organization that he held. It also wasn't any small truth to Marluxia that the Savage Nymph was endeared to him, he would much rather have her at his side then not.
"I do owe you an apology, Larxene." Marluxia trailed off for a moment, though it was more to allow the statement to sink into Larxene's thoughts then for dramatic purposes. "I have indeed abandoned you these past few months, and I regret that it has driven a spike in our relationship. I ask for your forgiveness Larxene, and promise that I will not be doing something so inconsiderate in the future." Of course a promise from a Nobody was hollow, but Marluxia was certain that Larxene would at least appreciate the words.

'In the past few months I have not merely abandoned you for nothing, Larxene. I have been collecting contacts, people who could join us in a struggle against Xemnas if the need were to arise.' Oh, this hit a nerve in her. The expression she showed was the only proof of it. So, he had ditched her for the past few months to go and make friends with other people in-case Xemnas tried to destroy them. Why the hell didn't he say that first? Oh, he was in some big trouble here. All her loyalty to basically be shunned for him to make other Allies! 'I do owe you an apology, Larxene. I have indeed abandoned you these past few months, and I regret that it has driven a spike in our relationship. I ask for your forgiveness Larxene, and promise that I will not be doing something so inconsiderate in the future.' Those words really held little meaning from a nobody. But, the fact Marly said them meant something she supposed. He wasn't one to drop the little pride he had. So, Larx figured she'd have to forgive him. With a calm stride, she took the steps to fill the space between them. When she made it close enough to Marly, she extended her hand and slapped him straight across his face. With a light pause, she spoke. "So, you ditched me for a few months to go make new friends and think you can just come back? Fine, you apologized. But you are on a probation. If I have the slightest problem with you, I will walk out of the friendship. Just until I'm sure you're not ditching me again."This was her agreement. She extended a hand to wait for the yes or the no. Marly needed her. She knew his answer already.

Marluxia's head moved to the side from the force of the blow as Larxene slapped him. He admitted that he did not see the attack coming, though he did not make that obvious. He turned his face to look back at the Savage Nymph, understanding a little bit more why they had given her that title now, and looking down at her. Ever the emotionless Nobody, Marluxia did not have any specific expression on his face aside from indifference. He may not have seen the slap coming, but he was not surprised by it. Larxene was a volatile Nobody, to say the least, and he had treated her somewhat poorly. If he had a heart he might even go so far as to say that he deserved the assault.
He found her words amusing, probation. That meant nothing to Marluxia, he would be playing his cards much more wisely now. He would not be abandoning Larxene without a good reason this time. Hopefully their relationship would be just as it was before they had been eliminated, he did not see any reason that he would mess things up. He looked down at Larxene's hand, holding it out as he had held out his a small while ago. He looked back up to the Savage Nymph, glancing into her eyes. They were not as piercing or haunting as the Superior's, but they were fierce, a quality one did not encounter often in a Nobody.
"Very well, Larxene. I accept this... Probation." Marluxia lifted his hand and latched onto Larxene's with it, not shaking it. He did not see any reason to feed into human traditions more then they already had with the handshake. He found her use of the word friendship somewhat interesting to describe their relationship, was that what they were? Marluxia had always believed that they had been partners, trying to benefit themselves through a symbiotic relationship. Would they have been friends had they hearts? Marluxia found the question somewhat curious to ponder. "Are there any other problems you wish to address?"

Larxene knew Maruxia well enough. She knew the slap had been a surprise to him. There is no way he was to expect that from Larx. Though, she was sure he deserved every torque she exerted from that slap. They didn't call her the Savage Nymph for nothing. But she wasn't going to rub it in, she knew his pride needed a break. Larxene didn't shake his hand either, but if they were going to be humans eventually, they needed to practice some of the customs, right? When the grip on her hand loosened, she put her hand back on her hip. This was all good. She was back in a comfortable spot. 'Very well, Larxene. I accept this... Probation.' Larxene smiled. "Good. You better." It was obvious they would be very good friends had they not been nobodies. Hm. 'Are there any other problems you wish to address?' "Nah, I'm fine now." She was tired of arguing, she was tired of it.

Marluxia gave a slight nod as Larxene said that she was fine now, how bi-polar the Savage Nymph seemed to be at times. He supposed that since she felt nothing, she could pretend to feel whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. It made sense, but it was also some aggravating to a degree. Marluxia had long gotten past that though, he enjoyed the way Larxene wore her emotions are her sleeve, making her opinion obvious. She was one of the most understandable Nobody's in the Organization because she didn't attempt to be an enigma, she simply becomes whatever she wants to be.
"Very well then. I have other things that require my attention at the moment, but perhaps I will see you soon?" The question was rhetorical, Marluxia knew that he would see Larxene soon. She would most likely seek out his company when she had free time, and Marluxia was generally open to her presence. They would not be able to spend as much time together as they had used to, Xemnas had stationed Larxene out of Castle Oblivion. Marluxia wondered if the Superior had done that in hopes that Marluxia would not attempt betrayal if he did not have the Savage Nymph constantly at his side. It was a possibility, but a foolish move. Of course Marluxia would not attempt it without Larxene, at least if he could handle it, but that did not mean that removing her would remove any mutinous urges he may get.
"I must take my leave now." Marluxia turned away from Larxene with that, giving a small wave of his hand to open a portal of darkness. He walked to the portal and glanced back at Larxene over his shoulder. "Perhaps we should do dinner, sometime?" Marluxia left on that note, not really waiting for Larxene's answer because he already knew she would show up should he invite her.
