((Tournament Rules can be found here: Click for Rules!)) The roaring of the crowd was deafening! Every single seat was filled up and the entire audience were cheering and clapping for the Tournament to officially begin! Banners with all the competitors names, were being waved around, balloons were being let loose up into the sky and the sun was shining down brilliantly, giving excellent visual conditions and brightening the moods of every single person in the arena! A small, goat-like man made his way out into the center of the raised fighting area, in the middle of the arena, and with a small cone-like megaphone, called out to the ever-more excited crowd! "Ladies and gentleman! Welcome, to the latest Tournament in the Olympus Coliseum!!"Phil's goat-like voice echoed around the Arena, as he turned around slowly in circles, so everyone could hear him. "We have 16, brave and powerful warriors, both of the Light and the Darkness competing here today, for the prize of Champion of the Remnant Cup Tournament!"Phil said, turning around some more, using his free hand to wave about before him as he spoke. "Let us waste no more time, and allow me to introduce the second match or Round 1! Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome to the arena, the host of the Tournament itself, the dark, the evil, the Leader of the Remnant's, brother of Loz and Yazoo and avatar of Sephiroth, KADAJ!!!"The crowd yelled and cheered loudly, the girls screaming and swooning and the men, encouraging their favourite contestant on! "And his opponent, making her way to the Arena, please welcome the quick, the nimble, member of the Gullwings and hunter of Spheres and treasure, Guardian of Yuna and defeater of Sin, RIKKU!!!"And with that done, Phil bowed to the audience and quickly scurried out the ring, allowing each contestant to enter as they like, before the match officially begun!!

It was actually a very glorious day to have a tournament, not that the Remnant enjoyed the sunlight or anything, but it was prefect fighting conditions and with such a massive crowd making such a noise, Kadaj actually started to feel slightly excited by it all. He'd had visited the Coliseum several times in the past, if only to train and to fight some tough opponents, such as Selena and Genesis. But there was more here then met the eye. There were some very powerful people in other parts of the Coliseum, getting ready for their own matches. Could he win it all? Could Kadaj make it to number one? It didn't really matter that much to him, to be honest. He just wanted to have some fun, and what better way to enjoy oneself, then to beat some strong fighters into the ground?
A smirk spread across his lips at that thought and when he heard the little goat-guy call his name, he strode out confidently into the arena, the heat and warmth of the sun hitting his face and leather clothing, warming him up. Yes, today was going to be a good day, and no matter whether he won or lost this first round, he'd leave this place without wanting to slaughter everyone he could see. It was strange though, why someone such as Kadaj would open a Tournament like this? Perhaps he was getting soft? Nah, that wasn't right. Maybe, there was no better way then to see how everyone else fought, then to get them all in the same spot and fight one another? Who knows...?
As the Remnant stepped up into the raised area, he nodded at Phil and then looked over at the crowd, waving a hand at them slightly when they kept cheering and calling his name. It wasn't just him though, the other half of the crowd were calling out and cheering for his opponent. Judging from the Leader Board that was displayed in the lobby, he's first opponent was someone called Rikku. That name rang a bell, but surely it wasn't the Keyblader Riku, adding another 'K' to his name? Curious, the Remnant folded his arms and waited for his opponent to enter the arena.

Since she had grown up in the harsh Bikanel desert and spent the rest of her time either traveling around Spira or salvaging machina, Rikku had seen pretty much every kind of fiend there was on her world. As one of Yuna's guardians and a Gullwing, every pocket of Spira had been explored from the top of Mount Gagazet, the bottom of the Bevelle dungeons, the fearful Den of Woe, the mysterious Farplane, and even the ruins of places long forgotten by history. Where most Spirans lived in the town they were born or close to it, Rikku had seen it all. She had even been battling Heartless on other worlds for a while now.
It seemed at times that fighting fiends and other creatures was all that she did. It kinda was a part of the guardian and sphere hunter job description. The blonde had fought and sparred against several opponents in the past, but hadn't fought anything but Heartless since she had set up the guardian's home base in Radiant Garden. When the Al Bhed had heard about the competition, she had decided it was time to get back into the swing of things.
Rikku walked into the arena, excited hearing all of the cheering fans. It was like being at a Blitzball game in Luca stadium. She had participated in the games before, and getting cheered on was the best feeling. She bounced out of the tunnels, smiling and waving to the fans in the crowd. She had already prepared her garment grid with her best spheres so she was ready to go.
As she looked to the other side of the ring, she saw her opponent for the first time. Kadaj. He had silver hair and was dressed in all black. Even if that was a little weird, she wasn't going to jump to conclusions about him. She smiled briefly, then set her face to be very determined, ready to fight. "Hiya! I'm Rikku. Let's have a good fight, ok?"

Tapping one of his index fingers against his arm, that were still folded across his chest, the Remnant slowly peered around the audience and crowds, listening to them all cheer and scream, clap, laugh and chatter to the person sitting next to them. Kadaj had been visiting this particular world several times over the past months, and eventually, the Remnant's glowing eyes finally landed on a group of people who he always saw coming to watch him fight, whether it be against Heartless or another hero of the Kingdom Heart worlds, these guys were always there. Not really wanting too, the man-in-black raised one arm from his chest and gave a small wave. The group of fans began to cheer loudly and returned the friendly gesture. ~I'm going to retch if I ever do that again...~ The silver-haired man thought to himself as he turned away from the crowds, locking his eyes onto the tunnel at the far end of the arena, the spot where his opponent would most likely come from.
Soon enough, she appeared. A young looking girl, blond hair, cheerful smile. Kadaj frowned at the sight of her, half of him wondering why on earth he ended up with someone such as this for his opponent, and the other half of him was frowning, because she seemed too... happy. As the young woman climbed up into the raised fighting area, the Remnant made his way over towards her, walking slowly with arms folded across his chest as usual. He stopped when he reached the center of the arena, listening to her speak as she put on a more determined facial expression. Kadaj smirked at this and thought, that maybe this match would be more fun then it seemed. She looked to be the type who used speed as her main ally in battle. Very well.
"Glad to see you made it. I'm surprised you didn't announce your defeat as soon as you stepped in here. These worlds must be larger then I thought, if there are still people out there who don't know me..." He said, his tone dark and cold as per usual. Smirking, he ran a hand back through his silver hair, before placing his hand onto the hilt of his Souba. With a swift tug, the twin bladed weapon was released from it's scabbard, singing as the blades sliced through the air. With his free hand, Kadaj raised it up towards Rikku and gestured with his index finger to 'bring it on'. "Don't hold back on me, not even for a second!!" He warned, smirking still as he lowered his hand and held his weapon out before him, pointing the tips towards his opponent.

Rikku rolled her swirly green eyes at her opponent. Great, he was one of those guys. The ones who thought that the entire universe revolved around their so-called greatness. She had met far too many guys like this in her life, and they all annoyed her. How were you supposed to get a word in when all they cared about was them self? Most of the time, they were all talk and couldn't back up anything they said. Even if this guy could back himself up, (he looked like he could) she still hated his attitude. Even if you are awesome, you don't have to announce to the world every other second!
"I don't give up that easily. Let's see if you're as cool as you say you are!" she said as she sized up the silver-haired man. (what was up with his hair anyways?) He looked tough, but after you have faced a giant monster and a giant, evil machina it was hard to be intimidated by anyone.
He took out his weapon, and Rikku saw that it was a sword with two blades. Alright. "Let's even the odds!" she yelled as she pulled out her twin daggers, twirling them around in her hands a few times before taking a defensive pose. She was not a new comer when it came to battling.
After a few moments, she decided to make the first move. She quickly ran toward him, before leaping and flipping in the air, landing behind him. She quickly sliced at the man, hoping to gain a little bit of surprise at how quickly she moved.
(Sooooo sorry this is sooo late!)

Kadaj grinned as he watched his opponent take out two short daggers after mentioning she was going to even the odds for this fight. In theory, the advantage was on her half since she now had a weapon in each hand while the Remnant still only held the one, but Kadaj's Souba was also much longer then both of her daggers put end on end. It didn't make much difference really, as the Remnant thought this was going to be a simple fight and that he'd make it into the Second Round without too much bother in his half. Well, that was something he'd have to wait and see about. He didn't know this girl apart from the one time he bumped into her on Spira when Kairi decided it would be a smart idea to get the Remnant involved in a Blitzball match. It was a long time ago however, so it was of no surprise that the silver-haired man didn't recognize the woman standing defensively before him.
Kadaj slashed his weapon before him, moving his extended arm down to his side as a mere sign to tell Rikku that he was ready and waiting, not necessarily an attack. His brow tightened slightly as his eyes became focused upon his opponent as she started to move, instantly switching from defense to offense. The silver-haired man smirked and chuckled inside his mind as he watched her close the gap between them before leaping up and over, twisting in the air as she did to land behind him. To answer her move, Kadaj jumped forwards a short distance and smirked to himself again as he heard the sound of steel slicing through thin air. That was one of the unfortunate things about Rikku's weapon choice. You needed to get awfully close to use them effectively.
Kadaj turned around quickly and took another step backwards in case the dagger-wielding female decided to do a follow up attack, though this time he stuck his arm back out before him, pointing the twin tips of his Souba back in her direction. The fight had only just started, so the talking and taunting could wait a little while longer, though strangely for the Remnant, he didn't attack back yet either. Was he just studying his opponent? Allow her at attack constantly for a while and make her wear herself out? Or was he just merely playing with her? It was almost impossible to tell exactly what was going through the silver-haired man's mind at most times.
