(OOC: A huge apology to everyone. In my attempt to delete Kadaj's post in order to restore the posting order for this thread, I accidently deleted the entire thread, and I can't find any way to recover it. My only regret is all the amazing posts you guys had made, some of which I didn't get a chance to read, so sorry if Stroud does not notice something which your character did which affects him or the boss Heartless. You can place the entire blame on me if you like, and I am willing to take full responsibility, so please try to keep things moving but also keep to the posting order until I say so. Which now includes, cleaning up who has left:
Stroud - Sephiroth - Silv - Kadaj - Zexion - Xigbar - Cloud - Stroud
I'm pretty sure that was the posting order (Seph is replacing Terra B, who was before me, but I've moved him to post after me since I'm starting the thread and he's ready to post.), but if I got anyone wrong, please PM me. Also PM me on Vincent's account if you feel that the plot thread is moving too slow, so I can fix it and people don't skip turns, so this accident doesn't happen again.)
On top of the Castle That Never Was, in an area called the Altar of Naught, was a Human Heartless named Stroud, who was locked in one-on-one mortal combat with the sixth member of the Organization, Zexion. The Nobody had gotten him locked in his Lexicon world, which surprised him for a few seconds, but he maintained his composure and held his warsword in an offensive position. He knew that no-one could interrupt their fight, since he had cast a barrier of darkness around them that was nigh impenetrable, even to the portals of the Corridors of Darkness. Nothing could get in, or out... so neither of them could run, this would be a fight to the death. Stroud slashed at the pages of the Lexicon that fell around him, and in smug confidence called out to the oblivion around him, having lost sight of Zexion. "Come out, come out, wherever you are. Why prolong the inevidable? If you are nothing, you should not be afraid of returning to the darkness." he taunted, wondering how Silv and his strong Heartless summons were doing.
Past the battle going on between Silv and Xigbar in the Hall of Empty Melodies, out on the buildings and streets where Cloud, Kadaj and soon a familiar dark presence to them both, were the three strong Heartless Stroud had summoned to keep busy the three warriors.
The Phantom Heartless hovered around Kadaj, appearing to do nothing at first, then swiveled around to make it's red heart under it's cloak disappear. Then after a pause, it shot balls of energy at Kadaj, flinging them with it's hands at the Remnant. It then twirled around again, this time revealing it's heart once again, this time colored white. It seemed with a new color, a new phase of the battle had started, as Phantom lifted it's hand and cast a curse on nearby clock tower; what that curse was, Kadaj and his company wouldn't want to waste time to find out as the clock began to tick ominously forward towards the hour.
Meanwhile, having accquired a new target, Shadowstalker laughed a eerie laugh as it moved out from the ground and into the windows of a building, it's image in the windows as purple darkness began to flash out from the window towards the blonde swordsman. If Cloud wanted to avoid damage, he best take cover from it. Past his battle and the many tens of thousands of Shadow and Neo Shadow Heartless swarming the streets in front of Memory's Skyscraper, the giant Kurt Zisa Heartless landed from it's assault on the Castle That Never Was, crushing Heartless beneath it's feet as it landed in the open, and raised it's snake-like head to utter a mighty roar. It sensed a new, strong opponent approaching - one that was also worthy of it's power than to the men who were already present.

The World That Never Was, a place where it literally felt like nothing. It seemed like a large world but it failed in comparison to Gaia. Perhaps once Sephiroth was done here he could take this planet too. Hoping from world to world would make his job quite easy, filing the spot that was rightfully reserved for him, doing what his mother did many years ago. Was there no one to stop him? Well there could be a few but that was not the case.
"Cloud, I've found you." Sephiroth uttered under his breath as he appeared above Memories Skyscraper. His eyes glanced the vast city as his black wing stretched out, black feathers falling to the ground. "And Kadaj. Two birds with one stone." He shifted his eyesight to the shouting creature below him. The Heartless, pitiful mindless creatures that served the darkness like it was their master. Besides taking the worlds, Sephiroth also embraced the darkness making it apart of him.
In his right hand he raised his Masamune as he viewed the many different Heartless. Quickly he swooped down towards the ground and the many Heartless that surrounded him. Grasping the Masamune with his left hand he positioned it above himself so that it was facing outwards. "Your lives are over." Sephiroth said as he took a few swings of his Masamune. Due to the sheer power he had and the length of the Masamune it cut through the many different Heartless easy, still ignoring the large slithering Heartless before him.
Each sweep just took out another chunk of the Heartless, his head suddenly rose to the larger Heartless and he simply just floated in the air. "The Darkness and the Universe is my destiny, I was chosen by Jenova." He raised his Masamune and charged past Kurt-Zisa, brining his blade right through him. "...A waste of Darkness." Sephiroth then looked towards the buildings and smirked. "Cloud, don't deny your darkness. Come to me."

(ooc: I do remember that Xigbar was before me, but we can't really remember everything that happened, so we chose to just continue in your order with me now and we just put something together)
Ark had been battling Xigbar for a bit now. The 'Freeshooter' as he named himself was a long-ranged fighter that kept moving around, it annoyed her greatly. She wasn't used to long-ranged fighters. She could remember all her battles had been on close range. A grin appeared on Ark's face. She supposed that this could be considered a test. Her form was still weak as she only spawned and she was missing the portal to the Emptiness. Xigbar had brought both her and himself there.
The girl knew that it did not much harm, at least not for now. She did hope to beat the freak quick and return to her former location to continue with what she was doing. She would become a Goddess of Empty. She would evolve her abilities even further than she already had. Ark laughed and looked at the 'Freeshooter'. "You really shouldn't be doing that," she said while trying to imitate the Nobody, "no matter what, I will defeat you and erase your pitiful existance."
She charged forward as her arms glew up green. She tried to fuse an attack of her creatures of Empty into her axe, "Empty Beleaguer!" she shouted as the Emptiness increased the force of her axe as she striked down at the Nobody. Ark was in a way cheerful, as she got to fight someone, but also annoyed that she didn't knew what was going on around the place. She hadn't heard from Stroud anymore, but she was sure that he was keeping himself busy with any other people from this 'Organization'.

Kadaj snorted and grinned to himself as he watched the Phantom fire off balls of energy towards him. They were pretty simple to dodge, though the Remnant had to take care not to dive too far and end up falling off the top of the building. Though he didn't want to waste time here with this creature, with each passing second, Cloud was getting further and further away from him, and there was also something else in this world that rivaled even himself in power... But for the time being, Kadaj had to worry about the Phantom as it launched attacks at him, which the Remnant dodged and blocked using his Souba, trying to knock the odd one or two of them back at the Heartless. Glancing upwards, the silver-haired Remnant caught sight of a strange, glowing light coming from the creature. It looked like a heart of some sort after a couple of seconds analyzing it. Could that be it's weakness?
Though before the Remnant had any chance to find out, the creature had launched it's next attack. Seems it didn't want to waste any time. Speaking of time, the monster had appeared to have cast a spell on a clock tower not too far away, easily within Draw Slash range. The hands on the clock started to tick towards the next hour, and this only puzzled the Remnant. What was this attack? What was going to happen when the clock reached the next hour? Casting a glance back at the Phantom, Kadaj noticed it's odd heart-shaped light had turned white. Well, the Heartless has been attacking several times with it's energy balls, it was probably about time to retaliate. So, taking his attention away from the clock for now, Kadaj ran forwards and jumped up into a pile of rubble that had been formed from one of the Phantom's energy attacks, and then launched himself up into the air like a rocket, holding his Souba at his side tightly in both hands. Having traits from Sephiroth, it didn't take long to soar up through the air and reach the Heartless, upon which point, Kadaj challenged his energies into his Souba and let rip an Octaslash, a powerful sword technique that slashes at the opponent 8 times in a row in quick succession.
Kadaj grinned his usual dark smirk as he focused each and every slash directly towards the Heartless' heart-like light. Upon swinging the last blow, Kadaj brought up his feet and threw them both out in a solid kick, merely as a way to open up the gap between themselves, rather then to deal damage. Still holding onto his Souba tightly, Kadaj cast a side-ways glance back towards the clock tower, noticing he still had a few more seconds before the hour ticked over. So, throwing his feet back over his head, flipping himself backwards through the air, Kadaj seemed to oddly enough, land on something solid in thin air. Kadaj had learned a great deal of the Darkness during his time here, so what he had actually landed on, was a mere manifestation of the Darkness itself, using it as a mere 'stepping stone'. Kadaj took the moment to launch himself back at the Phantom, Souba raised high ready to strike again.

From what he had seen thus far, it was apparent that this heartless’ pride would be his downfall. It was always as such – he’d experienced something similar to that when he had taken on Riku. All of his carefully laid plans had gone to waste due to a simple misstep. While that misstep had not been of his doing, it may as well have been. He had not taken into account the worst-case-scenario. How was he supposed to even fathom that Axel, shady as he may be, would turn traitor? How was he supposed to assume that the memory witch may have escaped? Yes, Marluxia and Larxene had been prime examples of such treachery, but VIII? It didn’t matter now. What mattered now was that he was a traitor, forgiven temporarily or not.
That, however, was of no importance in the immediate time frame. He did not wish to fade back into the shadows of oblivion, now or ever. Already he was weakened. The wound he had received from the heartless’ blade was still open. If he didn’t end things swiftly and tend to it, it would be his undoing. How pathetic would that end be: termination by heartless...a strong one, but one nevertheless. No, as a nobody, he could not allow that end to come to fruition. It was true that he loathed getting his hands dirty, but this was a matter of life and death. He would be able to make an exception. Furthermore, this thing had dared to call him by his original name. That was unforgivable, unless it was one of the original six who had called him as such.
[maroon]"Come out, come out, wherever you are. Why prolong the inevidable? If you are nothing, you should not be afraid of returning to the darkness."[/maroon]
The slate haired nobody as he looked into the dark whirlwind of lexicons and papers. This heartless didn’t appear to know exactly what tactic to take, aside from randomly slashing various papers and throwing out taunts. Zexion shook his head. Frankly, he would much rather stay and hide, disguised as one of his books. He didn’t wish to go on the offensive, or even be in this battle. But what of the world outside of their barriers? Surely the lifeless city surrounding them would collapse with the earthquake that was continuing. What then, after that? Would it affect the off-white moon of Kingdom Hearts? That was not a chance he was willing to take. DiZ had destroyed their work once – he had heard of that, and seen its affects. Would he allow a lowlife such as this to destroy what progress they had made in rebuilding it? No, he would not. That was not a plausible option. Yet, at the same time, he would not give away the secret to this power of his. Another plan of attack formed within the young nobody’s mind.
As suddenly as it appeared, the world of thick books and torn pages vanished, leaving the combatants stranded solely within the dark barrier the heartless had created. The ground beneath them continued shaking violently, the white of the castle itself streaked with dark crevices, marring its unique appearance with ivy-like designs. From the damage that had been done, it was not clear how much longer the structure would hold. This only caused the need to finish this battle to grow ever greater within the nobody’s mind. This castle floated. Not once had it touched the bright, pastel ground beneath it. Yet it shook and jolted with the world around it. Yes, this would affect the bright moon high above them, should things continue as they were.
Zexion continued to hover, just above the scarred surface below him, Tome of Judgment residing in his right hand. This lasted but a moment. The lexicon disappeared from his glove-covered palm and reappeared above him, in multiple places, surrounded by a glowing red aura and black bolts of energy. Out of their pages shot white columns of flame. Six clones in all had appeared in these multiple locations, each wielding a weapon that ought to have been very familiar to the heartless. The broad, silver blade...the golden hand guard...the blood red handle... Yes, all of these features as well as the uniquely designed, gold and black center should have been very, very familiar.
The faces of the Zexions maintained the calm composure that he had just managed to set in place once more. Every miniscule detail that the original himself had, right down to the torn fibers of cloth that stuck up from where his cloak had been ripped, was copied on the clones. These nobodies began their attacks on the menace before them. In succession, they charged him, wielding the broadswords they held as they had seen the heartless wield his before.

Xigbar tried to listen a bit to his surroundings as he fought his opponent. He kind of wondered what was going on around the place. He knew that Zexion and Marluxia were there first, also there was the Heartless. Perhaps they were dealing with him. Yet he could just smell the stench of numerous Heartless. There was a lot of darkness around the place and he wasn't really able to figure whether they were winning or losing in this current battle. Surely Zexion would know what he did. And surely he would get informed whenever there was something wrong.
The Freeshooter heard an echo from Silv's mouth. She was copying his amnner of speech, he grinned in return. "As if! Do you really think that's polite?" The woman had continued her little speech on telling him that he would be erased by her. "As if!" He watched the girl using a new type of attack apparently. As this time there were no minions spawning from the glowing parts like before. She shouted something, that seemed like the name of an attack as the axe came down at him. The girl didn't seem to be a speedy kind of fighter and he caught the impact with his two guns. His Gun Arrows weren't exactly made for blocking and he let himself go with the force as he blasted towards the ground, only to vanish there and reappearing not too far away upside-down.
"Oopsie daisy... You really shouldn't have done that." His Gun Arrows reloaded. "Arfereto!" He then sent out a blue laser shot at Silv. Afterwards he teleported away again, this time further to the right of Silv and started shooting normal red laser shots at her.

[OOC :: Sorry guys, didn't realize this had been replied to in my absence or I would have posted sooner!]
Cloud pressed his body closer still to the building behind him, his boots barely balancing on the small ledge that he was so precariously perched on. The pain in his chest had subsided to a dull thud from where the large heartless had attacked him several minutes earlier, but at the same time he knew that this was not the battle to push himself in - that time would come, and each breath he took brought that critical moment closer and closer. He had to save his energy, and save his strength - he was in a world where the heartless ruled, and where he did not, and he was not naive enough to think that he could single-handedly bring down the creature and then continue on with the necessary energy it would take to fight the Horseman he knew had to be in the castle. Mako infused champion or not, when it came down to it, Cloud Strife was still only human.
Eyes closed, Cloud held his breath for several long seconds as he head the creature moving on the rooftop of the building above him, searching for the prey that had disappeared over the edge once it had been struck. He hoped that the heartless' limited reasoning would assume its prey had mortally fallen over the edge, and that it would soon leave - and sure enough, the creature did eventually move onwards, heading back towards the castle, though Cloud was uncertain whether the action was because he had given up on him, or if it had been called back purposefully. The latter seemed much more likely, and Cloud could not help but wonder if another threat had arisen back in the castle that was more pressing than his presence was - that would certainly keep things interesting.
Once he was certain the creature was gone, Cloud jumped up to grab the ledge above his head, his gloved hands closing tightly around the edge of the hard building as he pulled his weight upwards, ignoring the strain in his chest - he had had much worse wounds before, and he refused to even acknowledge this one, lest it slow him down. He glanced quickly around at the world around him as he reached his high vantage point on the roof of the building once more, his gaze noting the swarms of heartless that still covered the streets, blocking him from using them for quicker progress towards his goal of the castle. As his eyes then carefully scanned the other rooftops near him, a tingling feeling rushed through his body, finally stopping on his right arm. He gripped his arm with his other hand tightly, willing the feeling to stop as a few flashbacks of his memories of times fighting the geostigma in that part of his body came to mind - what would bring those dark memories back now of all times? Could it be that...no, that wasn't possible. How could he be here?
Cloud quickly pushed those thoughts from his mind, forcing his attention to focus on why he was here - the Heartless Horseman. That was the problem at hand, not some dark memory of someone that should have died long ago. Thus, the blonde released his grip on his own arm, drawing First Tsuragi in preparation for any other impending attacks before he willed his feet to carry him forward at a sprint across the rooftops, each step bringing him closer and closer to the castle, and closer to what he knew was an impending battle.
When Cloud finally ran out of rooftops, he paused on the edge of the last one. He had reached the front of the waves of Heartless - it seemed something had slowed down their progress, but he had little time to ponder what - though he knew he only had a few minutes before they reached the path leading up to the castle as well, so he had little time to think about anything. He quickly lowered himself to the ground, and as his feet touched the pavement of the road, he could distinctly feel vibrations in it - the wave was coming. His eyebrows scrunched together momentarily in thought before he pushed forward up the path towards the castle, still without a solid plan, but knowing that if he wanted the darkness to end - this time, for GOOD - he had to reach the source of the problem.

Suddenly the world fell away, and Stroud found himself outside of the world of the Nobody's Lexicon and back on top of the Altar of Naught, basking in the moonlit glow of Kingdom Hearts itself. He was so close to his goal, and all he had to do was beat the slate-haired Nobody now standing in front of him. Upon seeing him, he let out a slow, dark laugh. "You are a fool, Ienzo. You should have attacked me when you had your advantage. Now, you will falll by my blade." he said confidently, and raised his war sword in both hands. He watched as the Nobody summoned his Lexicon above him randomly, and expected an attack to come forth from it in the form of the white columns of flame.
However, what he had not anticipated was the columns of flame were Zexion's means of creating clones of himself. Stroud gasped in surprise at the sight of the six Zexions, each carrying a crude replica of his own weapon. The distraction had been enough, and while he let his guard down in just that one moment, he had lowered his sword. Before he could raise it again, the six Zexions were already upon him, attacking him in succession with each of their swords. The Horseman flailed back painfully as he was hit, but forced himself to recover after the last clone had ran him through.
"Very good... but not good enough." he gasped, one of his arms holding his side, the other holding his sword by his side. In one fell sweep of his arm, he sent out a thinly-sliced wave of darkness from one horizontal slash of his sword, in an attempt to destroy the clones that had cut into him. The attack had been a good surprise and one that had depleted him of some of his energy, but he would not go back to the darkness until all of his life's energy had been spent. He was too close to his goal, he would not, could not fail now! Before he could give a warning to the Nobody, he threw out his sword at him like a javelin which would explode on contact, attempting to cripple the VI member and gain quicker access to the objective he had sought after all these years.
---
Kurt Zisa roared in pain as Sephiroth's Masamune tore through it's side. and hisses violently at the tiny swordsman. One of it's curved blades moved in front of him to block his path, indicating it was not finished with Sephiroth yet. In one, swift move it raised the magic orbs in it's hands and cast Silencega on Sephiroth, so he was unable to use magic. Then it started to spin around violently in it's Roundhouse attack, it's bladed arms acting like a giant whippersnipper, intending to either knock Sephiroth away or cut into him. It destroyed many Heartless beneath it as it crashed into buildings, becoming a whirling tornado of mass destruction, before it stopped it's rotation and roared violently.
The hands on the nearby clock tower ticked to the hour, and suddenly Kadaj felt a wash of negative energy wash over him, as if something had been taken from him as he quickly pushed off from the random manifestation of darkness he had pushed off from. He would be able to feel more weighed down, as if someone had cast a gravity spell on him, as the Phantom had cast a curse on him to remove his freedom to jump to extreme heights. It had flinched from Kadaj's Octaslash attack, having dodged his own energy orbs that had been reflected at him, and spun around to make it's white heart disappear. It spun around again, and now it's heart had reappeared - but this time it was colored red. The hands on the clock began ticking again, counting down to another element the Phantom was going to lock on Kadaj.
Shadow Stalker passed over where Cloud was, his attack having missed the blonde swordsman, having re-emerged out of the building it had pocessed. Having taken on it's regular form of a chained Dark Ball Heartless, it laughed mischeviously, having spotted Cloud once more. It's chains rattled as it floated down in front of him, giving him it's eerie jack-o-lanturn-like grin. Suddenly without warning it started to flail around in mid-air, biting in Cloud as it rammed into him, and then attempted to slam him into the building behind him. It's chains clinked violently as it hovered over the river of Heartless flooding through the streets towards the Castle That Never Was, cackling madly at the increasing chaos happening around it.

Sephiroth wasn't surprised, his posture remained still with his sword next to him. "Impressive... for a creature of the dark." The One Winged Angel said as he continued to walk forward. Something stuck him though, a spell he hadn't seen in a year. "Silencega." Turning around he looked at the creature, his facial expressions not changing one bit. Kurt wasn't done yet, it's arms started to turn around and around as it's whole body acted like a tornado.
Still not amused, this creature got in Sephiroth's way of Cloud. As it seems he would have to deal with it first before he could go do anything. As the creature's blades got closer Sephiroth sprung into action, his blade clashing with all of Kurt's attacks effortlessly. "Now, suffer." His right hand lifted and light started to shine in front of him. A crystal appeared and shone brightly, its green color giving a different mood to the black and white around them. The crystal was one of Sephiroth's Materia, specifically his Support Materia.
The crystal was the physical manifestation of his own powers, he could in fact use these powers on his own if he hadn't had Silencega cast upon himself. Such a simple creature of the dark had no idea what power it possessed. The green crystal shook and it cast Esuna on Sephiroth, relieving him of his Silencega status. "Your time has come." With a quick lift of his hand he summed four orbs of darkness, he got closer to Kurt to bring in his final blow.
Quickly Sephiroth stood in his battle stance as he brought his blade to Kurt from the side. He did another quick slash from the left, and then another diagonally! Sephiroth was using his Octoslash technique which allowed him to bring eight powerful sword attacks quickly, even more powerful then his normal slices. His onslaught of his blade continued as he slashed vertically down, then horizontally and did two quick slicing motions as he jumped in the air and plunged his sword towards the beast for the final blow.

Ark snorted. "Do I look like I care about being polite?" She asked her opponent annoyed. "Or even who or what you are? None-the-less how you talk and scream for mercy. Oh, I do like the last one, but I'm not sure if I have the time to listen." She added with a more surprised face and then a smirk. She had to get her work continuing as well. With the current events, things were going too slow. Surely, she was the slow one, but she would never admit it to herself. Her fighting style was different than the strange gunner's. The gunner did take the blow she aimed for him, but he just disappeared again and reappeared. She was certain that he could've dodged it any time. I need some different fighting style. She thought to herself as she saw the blue laser come slowly at her and dodged it more easily before the red lasers came her way.
The entire fight annoyed Ark greatly. She had no idea where she had been transported to by the Nobody and had no idea of the happenings around the area she was at. Her questions kept piling up from 'where is Stroud?' to 'is Stroud still alive?' as it was bothersome if she was fighting a lost case. It would've been best if she moved to a different location to continue fighting with the idiot. Perhaps she'll find some other people there as well. Or should she use many minions as distraction and try to find out herself. That thought only made Ark get angered and annoyed, she would look weak. Finally she had an idea, but it required her to get close again. Well, her entire style was close combat as opposed to the gunner's.
Ark had taken some red laser blows while trying to dodge and shield herself with her axe. She could've used a shielding spell, but she didn't feel like using up her mana. This time she started to move towards the gunner and rapidly. "Aura of Persistance." She said to herself as she glew up with a shielding spell, the shielding took a couple of hits as she rushed in Xigbar's direction. Then instead of her axe, while still having a little bit of distance, she pointed the palm of her hand forward. "Auroral Drape." She said as she used her attack against the Freeshooter, hoping to blind and silence him. She was certain that the blinding would help a lot, but so far the Freeshooter hasn't been seen casting spells, so silencing him would only keep him quiet from talking trash.

Kadaj only smirked as be pushed himself off of the manifestation of darkness that he summoned briefly to support his weight while he took half a second to adjust his position, regain his focus and lock his eyes back onto the ghost-like monster's heart. Though as the silver-haired Remnant leaped forwards to attack once more, the gong of the clock tower indicated that the hour had passed, meaning that whatever the Phantom had done, was about to effect the Remnant physically. It was only when the Remnant felt himself grow heavy for only a second, that he realized something was wrong. A split second later, Kadaj found himself hurtling down towards the rooftop below at a tremendous speed, out of control. "ARGGHHH!! Wha-Whats-?!" Kadaj cried as he was silenced by the loud crash of a body slamming into concrete, followed by the rumbling of the roof caving in along with the next several floors below. It took a few seconds for the noise to stop, but the dust was still bellowing out of the hole in the roof where the Remnant plunged through. No normal human could have survived that... but Kadaj wasn't exactly normal... nor human.
A few floors down inside the lifeless building, hidden beneath a pile of rubble and debris, the silver-haired Remnant lay in silence, taking this moment to figure out what on earth just happened. It didn't take long for the leader of the Remnant's to come bursting out of the debris with a loud 'ka-boom', as Kadaj allowed his Darkness to manifest itself in a more physical and destructive form, though that obviously took it's took about Kadaj's battered, bruised and now bleeding body from the attack cast upon him prior to this. Falling to a knee, the Remnant looked around himself as he coughed out a couple lung fulls of dust. As his turquoise eyes scanned around him, he caught sight of the clock tower outside, it's hands ticking down to the next hour once more, which made the Remnant figure it out. It attacked physically with minor skills while distracting the opponent from the clock tower, there the true strength was hidden. But now how to avoid it...?
Kadaj pushed himself back up to his feet and calmed his heavy breathing, the slices and cuts in his leather clothing, sealing and fixing themselves as if the leather itself were made out of some sort of liquid. The injuries beneath the leather though, would take longer to heal and there was not enough time to sit down and allow the Remnant's Make Regeneration to take effect. Quickly, Kadaj turned around and dug his Souba out of the debris before making his way over towards the window where he waited for the clock to tick down. A bead of sweat dripped of Kadaj's brow and he quickly wiped his forehead with his gloved hand, glancing at the small drop of liquid in his palm. At first, nothing. Kadaj didn't know whether he should be anger or excited. The only other person to clobber him this well, was Cloud Strife, but even he needed to get in a few attacks before something on this scale could be achieved... Yet this monster up above, managed it in one single attack... plus it seemed hardly bothered from the Octaslash he gave it prior to all this.
"The clock is ticking down each hour... then maybe that is where the beasts power is stored..." Kadaj said to himself out loud, but mainly under his breath. Taking a second to look away from the clock tower, the silver-haired Remnant ran his palm over the forearm of his left arm and felt the power of his materia hum from within. His eyes snapped back to the clock tower and Kadaj gave it one of his fiercest glares. He waited, and then waiting some more, until the hour came around once more. Before it did though, the Remnant made his next move.
Thrusting his left arm into the air, Kadaj called upon the materia within him to aid his fight against the Phantom, but the Heartless itself wasn't the target here. Instead, Kadaj took a moment to cast his Comet spell, a smaller version of Sephiroth's all powerful Meteor and aimed the spell directly at the clock tower. "If that thing really is that creatures source of power, lets see how it'll fare when it's destroyed!!" Kadaj growled as he spoke out loud once more. A green glow shone from Kadaj's forearm, before a wave of power escaped him followed by a faint green aura. A second later, the sound of an object burning through the worlds atmosphere could be heard before the source of this noise could be seen itself. A huge piece of rock came flying down from the heavens with the clock tower as it's target.
As the Comet burst into the atmosphere and lit up the World That Never Was in a hot-like red glow, Kadaj vanished into a pile of black feathers, using another one of Sephiroth's techniques to teleport himself back up to the roof. His ability to jump to extreme heights had been stripped from him, so there was only one thing left to do. As the Remnant reappeared on the roof, accompanied by a cluster of black feathers, Kadaj was already in his stance to let a Draw Slash rip out of his Souba. His new target, the Phantom itself. Nothing could survive a direct hit from this attack, and hopefully with the beast distracted itself now with the Comet spell, the Remnant would make a direct hit. Here's to hoping anyway...
The second the attack was charged, Kadaj slashed his twin bladed katana upwards unleashing the blade of energy that shot straight towards the Phantom.

As Cloud's mako-infused eyes focused in on the Castle before him, debating his next move and whether it was in his best interest to keep ignoring the growing feeling of a familiar presence or two that was welling up within his chest, the decision was made for him. As the giant Heartless suddenly reappeared, having taken on a different form than before, Cloud's gaze narrowed. "You again? Looks like I can't get any breaks," he muttered under his breath, swiftly taking an attack stance as he brandished First Tsuragi before him once more.
However, he was not expecting the Heartless to attack him as suddenly and swiftly as it did, and before the swordsman was able to roll out of its grasp he found himself grasped in the mouth of the Shadow Stalker. As his boots left the solid surface of the ground, Cloud knew that he was in trouble and needed to act fast - his chest was still pounding from the attack he had taken earlier, and he knew that he needed to conserve his strength still for whatever lay ahead, beyond the doors of the mysterious castle. This Heartless was wasting precious time, energy, and blood, and the ex-SOLDIER did not want to stand for it much longer. However, in his current position he was vulnerable, and as he watched the ground below him seem to swirl with the motions the Heartless was making, he realized that its intentions were to slam him into one of the nearby buildings - and he could not afford to let that happen.
Wriggling in the creature's mouth, Cloud was able to free his arms, and at his extremely close range was able to land a few direct hits on the Heartless' body. Thus, rather than directly slamming his body into the building, the Shadow Stalker released the blonde from its mouth either out of surprise from his attacks, or having given up on its original idea and satisfied with simply throwing him like a doll, propelled towards the concrete by the motion of its head. Cloud hit the side of the building hard, but not as hard as it would have been with the Heartless' original intent, before falling to the ground once more. He rolled when he landed to take the pressure off of the fall as best he could before quickly pushing himself to his feet. His entire body screamed in protest, but he could feel the Mako rushing through his veins in response to the adrenaline and pain, giving him a rushing sense of power, and the ability to ignore his physical woes at least for a little while longer.
Time was of the essence, and Cloud knew that he could not run away this time - he had to deal with this Heartless now, and fast.
Sounds of destruction in the distance reached Cloud's ears vaguely, but he ignored them. His gaze locked back onto the Heartless once more before he rushed towards it, determined to not be caught off-guard by another of its quick attacks. He ducked, dodged, and rolled his way closer and closer to the floating creature, the Mako in his veins propelling him forward even as the Heartless became more and more agitated with its now more nimble target. Finally, only a few metres away from the creature and about to attack, one of the creature's chains finally hit their mark, glancing off the side of the blonde's head. For a moment he stumbled in surprise and pain, but Cloud told himself that the hit could have been a lot worse than it was, and that this was his only chance...he couldn't waste it.
The Shadow Stalker seemed to gloat for a moment that it had managed to actually hit its smaller target, and it was in that moment that the swordsman made his move, quickly dashing across the last few metres towards his adversary and propelling himself into the air, landing several quick successive hits with First Tsuragi. The side of his head was bleeding, but he didn't care, and he ignored it. The man that had faced and defeated Sephiroth on multiple occasions could not be stopped by a Heartless - he still had too much to do in this world, and he was not willing to let go. Not yet...not yet.
A living legacy - he had made a promise. This could not be the end.
Finally, spurned on by the successful attacks, Cloud felt the moment he had been waiting for as the Mako within him reached almost a breaking point of sorts. He reached within himself to that source of power as First Tsuragi began to glow in his hands, before he pushed that power through his arms and into the weapon itself, hitting the Shadow Stalker once more before propelling himself into the air again and running his sword up the side of the creature, leaving a glowing trail in the weapon's wake. As he reached the top of its rounded body, Cloud used its head as leverage to push himself away into a backwards somersault of sorts, out of the area of damage, and hopefully away from a dying heartless that had become the victim of Climhazzard.

(OOC: The posting order is gone, I'm sure all of you have gotten PMs from Larxene by now that you need to post by a certain date, or you'll be kicked out of the thread. So this is the last round of this plot thread as she wants to move onto the next, so please start making your exit posts so we can do this! You'll all get your shot at Stroud in the future if you want, but in a future plot thread.)
Whether or not his wave of darkness had destroyed the majority of Zexion's clones, it did not matter, as the tip of Stroud's sword came within inches of Zexion's exposed neck. A dark, amused chuckle arose out of the Heartless man as he held his hand outwards while holding the sword in place in mid-air. "Time for this charade to end. That is enough." he said boastfully, and sucked in the cold night air into his lungs, before letting it out again in a conceited chuckle. He could feel it, through the darkness that was tied to the hearts of the worlds, that his objective had been completed. All he had to do was survive long enough, which was easier said than done. All he could feel in this moment was extreme arrogance in his victory, that he had used his powers over darkness against multitudes of fighters and had come out on top, and had outsmarted them all in doing so.
With burst of dark energy, the sword disappeared and returned to his hand, unable to contain the continuous dark chuckle that escaped from his lips. "There is no more point in this facade anymore. We have already won. You are a fool... all of you!" he raised his voice, so all down below in the dark city could hear him, watching as his summoned Heartless disappeared one by one. A twisted smirk appeared on his lips, his long white hair cascading down his shoulders as he looked over the impending havoc wrought upon the hearted beings below. A deep, low maniacal laugh rose out of his throat, growing in volume, it's gloating sound carried out into the dead of night eternally ensnaring the city of nothingness below.
---
It was impossible, and yet, the champion swordsman had blocked all the blows of Kurt Zisa. The creature simply started rising in the air to use it's next attack, turning on it's axis so it came at Sephiroth vertically like a giant bladed wheel of death, and shattered Sephiroth's Support Materia in the process just after it had cast Esunaga, destroying it. As the massive Heartless came to a stop, it wheeled around to face the villain, only to be cut into with a series of long sword swipes. The creature froze there, slowly coming to a halt, it's roar shattering the silence that followed after it with it's echo. Slowly, pieces of Kurt Zisa's body began sliding off it's frame, a bright flash of light signaling the release of it's heart into the air, the darkness off it's body fading into the shadows.
The comet spell on the clock tower was a unique yet effective strategy, completely obliterating the face of the clock in it's wake, the curse broken off the Remnant's body and allowing him to jump to extreme heights again. The power from the curse placed on the clock tower recoiled like a slingshot back into the Phantom Heartless, knocking it back in surprise, an ample opportunity for it's opponent to attack. However, since it had a red heart visable underneath it's cloak and not a white one, it was only vulnerable to Kadaj's Fire magic and nothing else. As Draw Slash made contact with it, it had no effect on the Heartless whatsoever, and simply floated there as it stopped to hear the call of it's master. The giant ghost Heartless simply faded into the darkness, leaving no heart behind, or any sign that it had been there besides the battle-damage it had made on Kadaj and the building he had crashed through. There was only a calm stillness that lay in it's wake, and the chill in the air that it brought was gone, leaving only the faint glow from the neon lights in the city.
Damage done by the Shadow Stalker Heartless did not seem to register in any way, the creature having no remorse... it was true to it's namesake of Heartless, after all. It seemed to revel in the base emotional instinct to take pleasure in the pain of others during it's confinement in it's chains, silently cackling as if to some joke only it knew. However it would not last for long, as it should have forgotten it's overconfidence and focused on Cloud, shuddering from pain as the solider stabbed and cleaved his mighty sword through it's body in a Chimhazard technique. The Heartless raised it's face to the sky and cried out a muted scream, before it's body exploded in dark energy, it's heart rising up to be absorbed in the giant floating moon-shaped heart in the sky.
---
Stroud's laugh continued as he watched his minion's hearts rising up to the great moon-shaped heart above, Kingdom Hearts, and ceased his laughing as he tilted his head to the skies to the dark clouds overcasting around it. "That's it, keep releasing more hearts. For the more hearts you all reap, the stronger I become. All hearts return to Kingdom Hearts, there is no denying their course in the endless cycle - even yours. Such is an exercise in futility - we have already won, your kingdom no longer shines with it's blanching light. If you want to know who is responsible, ask your King, or the Keyblade Master himself. But what you fools in the darkness fail to recognize was my brillance - it does not matter which side is strongest, light or darkness. There is only power, and those who are too weak to use it, and the one who is willing to claim it controls all." With this, Stroud looked to the sky, as the storm clouds gathered and began to rain, thunder streaking across the sky as if a opening crescendo to the allusion of impending doom that was about to ensue. The Heartless closed his eyes, feeling the cold water trickle down his face, not invulnerable to the effects of nature as anyone present here was. "Allow me... to teach you the meaning of true fear." he addressed to all that heard him finally, and turned to look up at Kingdom Hearts itself.
"Kingdom Hearts! Grant me power eternal, over darkness... nothingness... twilight... and light!" he barked to the heart of all hearts, sensing it's power had reached it's climax. Suddenly, the moon glew brightly and shone down upon the Heartless man, radiating the surge of energy into his being. Starting softly and growing louder once more, the Horseman's laughter grew in confidence as he stretched his arms outward and above his head, absorbing the radiant glow until the insane laughter was replaced with a shocked gasp. "What... is this-?" The Nobody Zexion being ignored as his body became surrounded in wisps of darkness, there was nothing anyone could do, as suddenly the light flashed to a point where it blinded the entire city itself. When the light had faded, Stroud had completely disappeared, and in his place as it warped out from the very thin air itself was a door that could only be opened and closed by the keybladers - the Door to Darkness summoned by all of the worlds.
Whether Stroud had been successful in entering Kingdom Hearts remained unclear, but as the Heartless in the city disappeared into dark portals, it was clear there was nothing further to be done here until the day keybladers could come here to open the Door to Darkness once again.
Stroud has left the thread. Please make your exit posts, as this plot thread has come to a close, thank you for your participation.

Xigbar almost laughed at how Ark tried to draw near again. He would just move around and play with her, but then something was amiss. He could smell the darkness fade away. His battle with Ark had gone on for quite long and the darkness hadn't vanished so far up to now. Number II wondered what happened to Zexion and Marluxia. He remembered they being there as well, and he could still smell some darkness.
The Freeshooter saw that the girl just started a spell his way. "We'll play another time. Be a nice girl now." He said with a smirk before disappearing and leaving Ark there. Xigbar planned to go to Zexion first, but then changed his mind and as he reappeared more outside the castle, he used a dark corridor to move back to the others of the Organization. If they were still gathered. He needed to learn what just happened.
Xigbar left.

It had all came to an end for the pitiful Heartless that tried to stand up to Sephiroth. He simply turned away from it as he held his long sword to the left of his body. Then Sephiroth had started to walk slowly toward the darkness of The World That Never Was. He was a man of few words as he left the world, not caring of what happened to it or it's inhabitants. Sephiroth knew what his purpose was, he was to guide the universe into despair, just like his mother wanted him to do. Cloud still lurked in the world, but he knew he didn't need to find Cloud because Cloud always finds him. Sephiroth is Cloud's reason to fight and even if he denies it he will always supply a new reason so he would keep fighting. It was a plan that only Sephiroth knew. Darkness surrounded him and in a flash he had disappeared.
