Ok folks, here is the Tournament line-up!!
All names were written down on paper, folded up and thrown into a hat. I got my sister to draw them out, one at a time, and here are the results!
They cannot be changed, but do not lose heart! Anything could happen in this tournament, just remember that there are hardly any rules, but the rules which are in place, MUST be obeyed!!
-=RULES=-
1. No killing your opponent!![/u] -- This speaks for itself. The killing or attempt to kill your opponent will get you automatically disqualified from the entire Tournament, allowing your opponent to advance to the next round.
2. No god-moding!![/u] -- God-Moding is a breech of forum rules and of Tournament rules. You will receive ONE warning if you're caught God-Moding, and any other attempts witnessed, will get you disqualified.
Example of God-Moding
3. Roleplay each fight, like any other thread!![/u] -- This is a test tournament, to see if we can successfully complete it, without the need of involving any other, more complicated rules, such as the HP Rule, the Judge Rule or the Dice Rule. I want you to treat these matches, like any other thread your character is in. Stick to forum rules and obey the Tournament rules. Other then that, do whatever you can to win your match.
4. Knock Out, Ring Out and Give Up!![/u] -- These are the only ways in which you can lose your match! If your opponent deals a powerful blow that knocks you out cold, or if they push you out the ring (You can even lose your own footing and fall) or if you admit defeat, indicating your opponent is too powerful for you.
I would highly respect you all, if you PM'ed your opponent before you RP and discuss between yourselves, who you think should win. There is no shame in losing to a tougher opponent. Just train harder in other threads, and enter again in the next Tournament!
5. Summons, Heartless and Nobodies!! -- If your character can cast summons, then they are free to do so but ONLY if they can summons Heartless and/or Nobodies and ONLY up to the maximum of THREE!!. Characters such as Kadaj, for example, who can summon massive creatures such as Bahamut SIN, are RESTRAINED from doing so altogether!! You CANNOT summon large creatures to aid you and if you do, you'll be disqualified.
Kadaj and Yazoo are allowed to summon only ONE Shadow Creeper to aid them in the Tournament.
Silvia Anna Julia Sannerou can summon only TWO of her Empty summons per match.
These "massive" summons that are restrained from being cast in the Tournament, count as those from the Final Fantasy series. Ifrit, Shiva, Ixion, Bahamut, Diabolos, Doomtrain, Carbunkle, Ragnarok, Ark, Atamos... etc etc etc.
Tonberry and Cactuar CAN be summoned if needs be.
6. Transformations!![/u] -- There are some characters out there that can transform, such as Vincent Valentine. If your character has the ability to transform, then they may only do so ONCE, during their current match and it MUST be set for a limited amount of time, for 3-4 posts, for example. If anyone is seen abusing the transformation rule, you'll get ONE warning. Any more offensives, will get you disqualified!!
7. Have fun!! -- This is the most important rule and MUST be obeyed! This is a FUN Tournament, you're entering this to have FUN and to Roleplay and have FUN! And to have FUN, and have more FUN! Don't get angry, or upset or jealous, just because you lost a round. It's all a bit of good, old fashioned FUN! Shake hands, give your opponent a pat on the back and wish him luck in his next match!
8. Limit Breaks -- Limit Breaks CAN be used, but only ONCE per match and ONLY when your character is either close to defeat, or takes a seriously strong attack from the opponent. You don't have to use the Limit Break straight away though. Keep it in store for the most opportune moment.
Any abuse caught of this rule, will have sever consequences, so don't go over the top with it.
You can only pick ONE move/technique/attack from your characters arsenal that can be classed as your Limit Break.
If any requirements to use said Limit Break are needed, for example, Saix's 'Berserker Mode', which requires moon light to be activated, shall not be necessary for the Tournament matches ONLY!!
-=New Rule Added=-
9. Time Limit!!
Due to how long this Tournament has been running, the matches and threads will now have a 10 day posting time limit[/u][/b] to try and help speed up the matches to get this Tournament over. You have 10 days to make a reply to your opponent and failure to do this will result in your character been automatically withdrawn from the match with your enemy declared the winner by default. NO SECOND CHANCES!!! So don't spam me with PM's claiming you were about to post. You wanna win, then stay active and keep within the time limit!!
Ok then, that's that sorted. Here is the 1st, Remnant Cup Tournament Leader Board!
The very best of luck to everyone entering!!! =D
