Once again the being known as Hadria was attacking another world, or rather exploring it. Indeed she was exploring the world trying to find answers to the questions that run amok in her head… what was her purpose? What was her long-term goal if she continued to grow in strength? What was turning worlds to darkness providing her? Aside from cultivating power and feeding that addiction for carnage momentarily, it seemed pointless and yet… she continued. The urges continued to grow stronger and while at first she had always given into them, it was impossible to never end up questioning it all since she had been given more cognition than the average Heartless.
‘Oh how I wish I could go back to the days of ignorance,’ she thought as she balled up her fist and slammed it against a wall of the castle the Corridors of Darkness had taken her to. Her teeth gritted as she looked at the considerable crack she had made with her fist, anger seething from her… how was that even possible? Her right hand went to her forehead, grasping it and gripping it tightly as she tried to make sense of all the contradictions.
“Shouldn’t this be impossible?! How am I feeling rage without a heart?! Is it all just a lie and all one needs is a brain to be able to feel? Does the heart not matter or am I just fooling myself to avoid facing reality?! Damn these humans and their philosophical musings, why couldn’t they have kept that out of their books?!” she yelled, her right fist colliding with the wall again and leaving a giant hole. Her face contorted into a scowl as she walked aimlessly, wallowing in anguish, something she would normally find delight in. But that was of the physical kind but now she was feeling it mentally, the burden completely foreign to her… was this what humans dealt with daily? She had never thought about it before but her observations of them certainly seemed to point to the possibility. So many of those pink-skinned creatures were filled with sorrow, regret, fear, and a widening array of negative emotions… was having a heart really worth it? And yet there were also those times when they were filled with joy, a feeling that Hadria wasn’t sure if she ever felt now. Sure she had always seemed to enjoy the thrill of murder before but that was when she had been ignorant. It had been that primal urge inside her taking over, the instinct to shed blood always clouding her thoughts and propelling her forward. Would the feeling of joy and all those other positive emotions outweigh the cons?
Her right hand gripped the left side of her chest, her gritted teeth grinding and fumed the air in her lungs through her teeth,
‘Isn’t this quite ironic... a Heartless clutching at her heart... or rather where it should be,’ she thought as she stopped by a set of double doors. Her hands gripped the handles, opening them with ease due that monstrous strength of hers as she proceeded down the stairs that followed. Once reaching the bottom of the staircase, a library was revealed with an extensive selection of books, a sight that made the Heartless release a sigh of relief… books were neat. She quickly went over to the shelves, grabbing any books related to philosophy and skimming through them. It was a gamble, but she was hoping to find some answers here but after an hour of searching the Heartless’ frustration took over.
“WHY DO YOU PINK-SKINS ALWAYS TALK IN RIDDLES!? JUST GET TO THE DAMN POINT!” she screamed as she threw the book currently in hand and kicked the book shelf it had been placed on. It pushed over easily, books scattering on the floor as the shelf leaned on the wall having been the farthest one out. Regardless, the Heartless slammed her palms on the closest wall, whipping her head at the wall, a gash opening across her forehead, blood dripping down her face as she smiled faintly for a moment… ahhhh… how refreshing.
“What is my Veritas (truth)?…” she whispered to herself, licking the blood that slid slowly down her cheek, “is this all I’m really meant for… to spread torment and misery?” she continued, the taste of her own blood satisfying her as she whipped her head back, a disturbing and shrieking laugh escaping her lungs as she grinned psychotically, “to give into madness?”
OOC: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR HADRIA?! O...M...G... O.- *monocole pops out* POPPYCOCK! On a more serious note, sorry in advance if this isn't too good for you guys since I've never been as good at straight RPing VS fighting XD! I'll try my best to keep up with whatever you guys do RP wise, especially since I just decided to start developing Hadria's character into something a little less one-dimensional ^_^. Hope we have a good fight and a good RP(?)!

The time spent in The World That Never Was certainly proved to be worth while. Though there was no sign of his missing friends, Angeal or Sephiroth, the Scarlet SOLDIER at least got the chance to meet a couple of Nobody's in the form of Xion and Naminé. One was a member of somesort of group called Organization XIII and the other... well.. she was different. Special. There was an air of curiosity surrounding her that intrigued the SOLDIER 1st Class into wanting to know more about her. These Nobody's didn't exist on Gaia and getting to meet one who wasn't hostile was always a plus. However there was a third character within the World That Never Was which had put the LOVELESS fan on high alert. True, while the SOLDIER himself was aligned with the Darkness, he could feel the balance of the Light and Darkness starting to favour the Dark. Before, it was strongly favouring the Light and the Scarlet SOLDIER worked hard to being the balance back to an even level, going so far as to fighting a good friend to achieve it.
However, while in the World That Never Was, the third character as mentioned previously was one the Scarlet SOLDIER, known as Genesis, had to keep a close eye on. Never before had he felt a greater Darkness coming from an individual. It perhaps rivaled Sephiroth's, but Genesis wasn't one to think so far ahead. Sephiroth was the very best, no one was better then him and if anyone was, Genesis was convinced it would be himself. All those thoughts had been crushed when last meeting the One Winged Angel. While Genesis himself had been in his slumber inside the Flooded Cavern, awaiting the time to return to the world as a Hero, it would seem Sephiroth went on and continued to grow in strength. It mattered not now. Sephiroth had gone missing and it was Genesis' goal to discover why and where he'd gone too. Yet there was also the mission given to him by the Goddess and thus was the reason he had traveled to the world of Hollow Bastion.
Genesis got the feeling that the 3rd female from The World That Never Was, known as Hadria, was intent on spreading chaos and destruction, but on a much higher level then either himself or Sephiroth used to do, and that was simply something he could not allow. When Genesis himself fought for the Darkness, he made sure as few as possible innocents were harmed in the process. This strange female gave off an aura that suggested her motives were the opposite of the SOLDIER's. Pity she was a Heartless... trying to detect the aura of a heart is hard enough, even more so when the one you're tracking doesn't have a heart. But his senses hadn't failed him yet and sure enough this new world held the strongest and most fresh scent of the chaotic woman. At first the Scarlet SOLDIER wondered if he made a mistake and followed the wrong presence, but after eventually stumbling across a freshly made hole within the wall of a large, dark castle, the SOLDIER's bright blue eyes narrowed slightly before hearing a distant thud in the distance, like something heavy falling over. Then came another thud, more of an impact sound this time. Having trouble picking up any presences or auras nearby, Genesis smiled to himself subtly when coming to the conclusion that whoever else was here with him, was more then likely a Heartless or Nobody.
Then again, perhaps it was the grayish-blue haired man in the long black cloak who brought him to this world in the first place? It would have seemed the two shared a common goal in wanting to discover more information about the female Heartless. Perhaps the man in the black coat, who now thinking about it must have also been in league with this Organization XIII, also wanted to destroy the Darkness that held a possible threat over the balance of the worlds? What was his name again? Zion? Zexaeus? Zarxene? Genesis shrugged his shoulders subtly as he returned his attention back towards tracking this subtle presence off in the distance, also proceeding onwards to where he heard the impact sounds coming from. Shortly, a sinister laugh echoed throughout the halls which caused Genesis to break out in a sprint, heading directly for the location it came from. Spotting an open door down a flight of stairs, Genesis slowed his pace down to a walk before pushing the ajar door open, revealing a large library on the other side. So... he was back here again where Rude and the female Keybarer 'Artemis' were once gathered?

((OOC: Yay my first ever raid post ^.^ And Felix, you know that with me I’m more RP oriented, so… maybe this is a good thing… I also heard that all your characters talk to much Kadaj…))
Turquoise eyes trailed over the ruined remains of a lab one little boy had convinced a great scientist to build. A lifetime ago… A being with a heart might feel the despair that the place his scientific and logical journey began was destroyed, one with a heart might feel anger that he could preserve this place; one with a heart might seek vengeance….
But Zexion didn’t have a heart, did he?
The Cloaked Schemer withdrew his hand from the smashed cabinet, surveying the rest of the room, and finding what his initial search gave him, nothing. A frown of disapproval pulled onto his face, though the emotion never surfaced due to the lack of a certain Cupid-idolized object; it was a reaction and nothing more. So… our experiment really did destroy this place? Or was it… another force? His right arm folding across his left, supporting his left elbow as his left hand’s fingertips rested gently on his forehead, a position Zexion absentmindedly went into when he was pondering something. I highly doubt that anyone else knew we were done here… and the Superior wouldn’t have had it destroyed… But ponder as he may, there was no information down here, just more mysteries needing to be explained. The longer he stayed in the castle the more likely he would be found, perhaps it was best that he would return to the Castle That Never Was and see what he could find there.
Gloved hands fell back at their master’s side, the Nobody making his mind up to leave. Though just as he was about to summon a Corridor to Darkness, his Scent Identification picked up something at the same time his ears did.
The overwhelming scent of darkness… and a domino effect of bangs.
The scent of darkness was not that great before… a new threat has emerged… But the toppled bangs confused the petite scholar, where in the world could a Heartless make a domino effect of bangs?
The questions swirled around the Nobody’s brain, and he was half tempted to answer them… but why should he fight the Heartless? Not often in the Organization was Zexion sent on boss Heartless missions (and this was certain a boss Heartless by the amount of darkness it was reeking of), they were left to Roxas and more capable fighters. Yet… if the world around him was turned over to the side of Darkness… it could be the destruction of the castle… and anything left in it. Zexion hadn’t explored all the rooms in the castle, and he had barely made a dent in that library…
Turquoise eyes went wide. The Library… Bookshelves could make the domino effect sound and by the location of the scent… it DID seem to be near the front of the castle…
Zexion looked at the ground. He was not one for getting involved with battles head on, but what pieces did he have to play besides his own? Let this heartless reek havoc, or… attempt to scare it off, to at least save his the valuable information. There was no denying the gravity of that information’s importance to the Cloaked Schemer…
A Corridor to Darkness opened up in the entrance of the Castle. The Nobody cautiously peered out at the double doors that were the Library. Standing in the door away, about to enter was a man dressed almost as if he was a soldier of war. Darkness came from him… but it wasn’t the scent he had picked up before… something different…
Have I seen this man before? A faint recollection probed the Nobodies brain, but now was not the time for that. Swiftly making his way after the man, Zexion stepped into the Library he had been in earlier that day. Disaster met his eyes.
Bookshelves had been toppled over, books scattered all over the floors… the place was quite close to being hit by a cyclone. And there stood the source. A woman, bleeding, hunched over against a wall not far from what seemed to be the source of the scattered books…
Was this the Heartless? The Darkness poured off of the figure in waves… almost overwhelming the Nobody. Zexion stood a few feet back from where the red haired man had stopped to probably take in his surroundings just as the Schemer had done…
A humanoid Heartless? Not since the Superior’s… And there was the presences of the man in front of him too. Had this man come to seek the Heartless as well? Or did he wish to help such a creature? There was no denying the strength that seemed to come from the figure closest too him… Zexion knew that if this man weren’t on his side, the battle would not end well for him. He was ready to let the events unfold… and ready to duck out if the situation called for it.
For didn’t it take a heart to be called a coward?
((OOC: Ok... not my BEST work, but I'm alright with it ^.^))
~~~~~ Scent Identification:Zexion can identify a “scent” of a person with great accuracy and at great distances. This “scent” isn’t like body odor it is the scent of a person’s affiliation with darkness or light and the strength of such an affiliation. (This ability does not cause any battlefield effects and therefore may be used at any time)
OOC: I said one bookcase had fallen over not all of them Zexion : D! That being noted, I am going to continue as such ^_^. Apologies for the wait and “leto” means kill or to slay in Latin ^_^.
IC: After the disturbing cackle had passed her lips, two other men had suddenly made their appearance; both being people the Heartless had met before. The one in the red coat had been met rather recently LETO, inside what was the Organization XIII’s base of operations. She had also met two others in that castle as well, a Nobody by the name of Xion that LETO wore the black hood like the other Nobodies the Heartless had fought long ago, and another Nobody by the name of Namine LETO, that wore a simple white dress. The encounter was fresh in her mind and yet she couldn’t remember a single detail of what happen that night, a night that had only been hours apart from what she was currently doing. Whatever it had been LETO it certainly had been an unfruitful visit since she was still LETO asking for answers.
As for the other individual, oh he was much more important and Hadria remembered him quite well. It had been that day where she had fought him and four other warriors, a hectic battle that she fought valiantly but was ultimately defeated. Yet now it was just him… alone… LETO… and Hadria would be sure to repay him for that earlier incident whether he remembered it or not.
“Well it’s good to see you again, I was wondering where you had run off too,” the Heartless started as her gaze fell upon him, psychotic to say the least, “where are all your other chums? Were they too scared and wanted to sit this one out or perhaps they don’t care much for you? It wouldn’t surprise me, that last fight we had you were completely useless during the whole thing so maybe they want me to take care of you for them?” she explained, her right hand going to the hilt of her blade as she grinned madly. Her muscles tensed as she got ready to charge at the new foe but a sudden body jerk caused the Heartless to stop as her left hand gripped her skull by the forehead… she didn’t want to fight.
“FUROR (madness)… FUROR… FUROR!” she screamed as she swung her blade wildly, nowhere near the other two and certainly not threatening their safety. Her teeth gritted as she struggled to resist the urge LETO, that primal urge LETO that came up whenever something living so much as LETO passed her by. Why did she want LETO to fight so LETO badly? Why did LETO this instinct LETO for battle LETO even exist? She wanted LETO their blood LETO, their hearts LETO, to hear them LETO beg for mercy LETO and LETO, LETO, LETO!
‘WHY DOES THAT WORD KEEP REPEATING IN MY HEAD!?’ she thought as she stabbed her katana into the floor beneath her. Her breath was ragged as she fell to one knee, her hand still clutching the hilt tightly as her eyes widened in shock upon a sudden realization… she had bested her urges. It was an extraordinarily difficult task to accomplish but through her own sheer force of will she had managed to resist running head first into what would certainly be a challenging battle. Oh yes a challenging battle that would have surely tested her strength and then some. Indeed, she could feel the strength that the man in the red coat possessed; it was an immense power that she never felt in a single individual alone. It was intoxicating LETO the thought of it alone LETO just made her want too…
“What do you two want with me anyway? I’m just here to get answers and that’s all so I’d appreciate you two not meddling with my affairs. If you don’t depart then I can’t… guarantee your safety,” she explained, hoping reason would get the better of these two. She bit down on her bottom lip as her right hand white-knuckled from gripping the hilt of her katana so tightly. It was taking all her willpower to resist the returning urges that plagued her and if these two continued to linger around… their deaths were inevitable.
((OOC - I talk too much? In what sense? That I type too much or that my characters monolog? They are villains if it's the latter and as so, villains always monolog XD)) Genesis remembered this room well, apart from it was less messy when he were here last. No books, or at least very few were strewn across the floor and that one bookcase certainly wasn't knocked over. Rude, whom Genesis still thought was a member of the Turks, but had no proof to back it up, wasn't here any longer. Perhaps he departed the world when he and 'Artemis' did? The Scarlet SOLDIER worked alongside the Turks for many years back when he were on good terms with Lazard and Shin-Ra, but quickly came to dislike them when he discovered that Professor Hojo and Hollander were experimenting on him, destroying the past that he once knew and filling his mind with doubt about who he really was. Since they were part of Shin-Ra, as well as the Turks, Genesis defected and left. That was a long time ago but still the SOLDIER's hate for Shin-Ra was as strong as ever. The LOVELESS fanatic had every intention to find this 'Rude' and discover once and for all if he really was a Turk. Even better, would be to find Tseng.
Yet that was a thought for another day. After glancing around the library, the Scarlet SOLDIER laid his bright blue eyes upon the figure of a woman standing not too far away. Blood dripped down her face from a wound upon her forehead. Peering around the corner, Genesis noticed an impact upon the wall which must have been one of those thuds he heard from earlier. A small splatter of blood on the wall revealing the woman must have headbutted it. It only took Genesis a second to recognize this woman as well, blood-covered face and all. It was the same female from The World That Never Was, the Heartless he had decided to follow. Good, at least the presence he felt from earlier wasn't that of the gray-blue haired male in the Organization Coat. Speaking of which, footsteps quickly reached his and after glancing over his shoulder, no emotion or expression present on his face, Genesis set his vision upon he of which he just thought of.
Taking a moment to look the man in black up and down, Genesis quickly returned his attention towards the Heartless female, who seemed to pose a greater threat, or maybe not? It was hard to tell when both these two gave of little aura to help the SOLDIER figure them both out. Regardless, Genesis had no issue with the Organization, at least no malice ones. He had every intention to learn more about them though, but dealing with this female had to come first. Locking his bright blue eyes onto the female as she addressed the man in black, Genesis remained silent but tightened his brow a fraction at the tone of her voice. She seemed insane... perhaps beyond the point of being classed as 'she'. 'It' seemed more appropriate. Heartless were just monsters away, right? What was the difference between this woman and a regular Shadow? Hearing her next set of words, Genesis became fully alert and was ready to draw his Rapier to defend the man in the black coat before the female Heartless seemed to stop herself from attacking.
It was clear that Genesis had much to learn regarding these creatures, Heartless and Nobodies alike. When he was addressed along with Zexion, the Scarlet SOLDIER remained motionless and silent as a statue, waiting to see if the man beside him would speak first. Whether he did or did not, Genesis had something he wished to say in reply. "You seek answers, yet you topple the bookshelves and wound yourself in the process? Do you not find what you seek, or has that Darkness within you tainted your mind?" Genesis asked. There was a time when he too had to search for answers, even before arriving in these worlds. Keeping his eyes locked onto the creature before him, the SOLDIER 1st Class raised his right arm and summoned his long crimson Rapier to his hand with a flash of light. The Heartless had it's weapon drawn and the logical thing to do would be to defend ones self. Turning his head in Zexion's direction but not removing his eyes from Hadria, he spoke up once more. "I doubt this creature can maintain itself in a peaceful state for long... the Darkness is great and unless you can fight, I suggest you stand back."
((Lame post XD))
((OOC: Oh… poop -_- Ok, since I think modify posts are probably are, if not should, be against the rules, I’ll just say it’s one bookcase fallen over… Your charries are noted for monologuing, Kaddy, that’s all I was saying!))
It was more then just a measly little heartless, to say the least. Not only did it appear to be very human, but it also was expressing emotions… despite the fact that it was obviously quashing Heartless instincts to do so.
The man in front of him turning his head back to look at him interrupted Zexion’s study of the Heartless. Turquoise eyes, lingered on bright blue ones for a moment, neither of the two men showing any emotion, one being incapable of such an action anywho. The man seemed to size him up for a moment, then turn to the Heartless women, obviously thinking that the Cloaked Schemer wasn’t much of a threat. But the question is if HE is a threat as well…
There was a slight pause as the two men looked upon the female Heartless before the latter addressed Zexion personally. “Well it’s good to see you again, I was wondering where you had run off too. Where are all your other chums? Were they too scared and wanted to sit this one out or perhaps they don’t care much for you? It wouldn’t surprise me, that last fight we had you were completely useless during the whole thing so maybe they want me to take care of you for them?”[/I]
A small intake of breath was the only sign of any surprise in the young Nobody It recognizes me…? And I… fought it? Blueish-gray eyebrows tensed together, possibly at the same time Genesis did, as Zexion attempted to think of what the Heartless could of possibly have meant. Heartless shouldn’t be able to think in such a manner…
The Heartless was appearing to have some sort of internal struggle with itself, while Zexion thought, and was quickly descending into madness, as its random babblings turned into incoherent shouts. Zexion knew that it was only moments before the creature in front of him would explode and attack. The instinct this Heartless was fighting was just too ingrained into their existence to be completely overcome and ignored, despite how the Heartless seemed to be fighting it back for now.
The Cloaked Schemer took in the words of the Heartless almost frowning at the sheer… human likeness the creature had to itself. As if it was truly utilizing the Heart of which it captured and use to be came the creature of shadows it was…
"You seek answers, yet you topple the bookshelves and wound yourself in the process? Do you not find what you seek, or has that Darkness within you tainted your mind?"[/I] Zexion was impressed by the poetic form and more formal manner in which the man had spoke in front of him. An intellect… and with a flash of light a crimson slender blade appeared in his right hand …and a warrior…[/I]
An issue in the state of a warning came from the man in the red outfit, but Zexion already knew everything the man was saying, and possibly more. Summoning lexicon into his left hand with a flurry of pages, the Cloaked Schemer responded softly. “You are correct, it will most certainly turn towards it instincts quite quickly… And though I am not one for battle, its presence must be eliminated.”
((OOC:… not my best work. But it’ll suffice))
"You seek answers, yet you topple the bookshelves and wound yourself in the process? Do you not find what you seek, or has that Darkness within you tainted your mind?" the man in the red coat spoke, Hadria shaking her head as she sighed heavily… he wasn’t going to leave was he? That certainly seemed to be the case as he soon summoned a blade of his own, a crimson hue painting it but a tad more pink than red really. The useless Nobody seemed willing to fight as well, a thought that the Heartless couldn’t help but scoff at considering how little she thought of him. But that wasn’t right… she didn’t want to fight right now, she wanted answers above all else. Why were they interfering with her when all she desired was knowledge? All she wanted to know was why she had been given cognition, why she was constantly under the assault of impulses to murder, and what purpose did she serve… was it really that bad to find out such things? These pink-skins were hampering her progress towards those answers and the urges within her wouldn’t let her flee. No that thirst for carnage, that craving to battle, that compulsion for death, wouldn’t allow something as cowardly as retreat. The madness threatened to consume her, gnawing away at what little sanity she retained and sending her body into trembles. ‘They’re going to fight me no matter what I’m sure so I can’t avoid it but… I’m retaining control this time,’ she thought, her eyes quickly scanning over the area once more. Books were littered at her feet, blood staining the cobblestone beneath her, and a few other particulars that normally belonged to libraries. While her thoughts were clouded with bloodlust, a few plans came into mind for what she could do to take advantage of her environment. Furthermore, she wanted to get rid of the Nobody first so she wouldn’t have to be bothered by his illusions like last time and have an opponent worthy of her time. Underestimating him would be a bad idea though and regardless of the success of the attack she’d make first, these Nobodies were rather durable and it was doubtful she’d take him down in one shot. "Dark, dark! The horror of darkness, like a shroud, wraps me and bears me on through mist and cloud. Ah me, ah me! What spasms athwart me shoot, what pangs of agonizing memory?" she quoted, a line from Oedipus Rex that seemed rather fitting toward her current internal conflict. Without hesitation she then lifted herself up along with her tightly clutched katana, holding out her left hand in front of her as her katana slid across it slowly. She bit her lower lip as the blade sliced open her flesh (Light damage to Self 25% fill), the feeling of pain stimulating the madness inside her that she desperately held back. It was a shame that her powers relied on such decadent pleasures but if she hoped to have any hope of defeating the two opponents before her she needed to fill up her blood orb quickly. ‘Let’s see how they take my new move,’ she thought before suddenly digging her nails into the wound on her hand and causing it to bleed furiously. Just as sudden, the Heartless would charge forward in her signature style, parallel to the floor as the blade rested atop her right shoulder, the intent to cleave Zexion on two rather apparent… at least she hoped for as much. Instead what she would do as her left hand neared the hilt of her katana, she would instead whip it across in front of her and open it completely. A stream of blood would impair their view and perhaps take their attention for just a second which is certainly what the Heartless hoped for. Because as it neared them, Hadria would use two abilities of hers to attack, Cruentus Acus (Bloody Needles) and her recently acquired mastery over the Corridors of Darkness. When within 2 feet of the two, the blood would solidify into several needles, attempting to stab their eyes and the sides of their heads. By doing so, it was likely that the two would move away from each other to dodge the attack and perhaps tunnel vision and not notice what Hadria was doing meanwhile. Furthermore, the technique also created a distinct sound as the blood coagulated swiftly into needles, that would hopefully mask the sound of the Corridor of Darkness Hadria had opened up. Regardless, the corridor would open beneath her as she fell in, quickly reappearing by the wall that had been behind the two warriors. The corridor was placed at a forty-five degree angle at about head level, allowing her to use the force of gravity as well as her forward momentum, to plunge her blade deep into her target as she simply swung it forward and pointed it toward said target to impale him... straight through his gut. With that type of force behind her, it was also certain that the Heartless would pass by her original position, regardless of the success of the combo. She would then quickly dart to the left where the other bookcases would block the line of sight her opponents had on her, adopting a hit and run tactic that made use of her incredible speed and impressive power… and one other fact that would come to bite her opponents in their arses later if left unchecked. OOC: If any of it is confusing please tell me and I’ll see what I can do to explain everything that I’m doing. I apologize in advance since after having to spend $200 bucks on a new Dog Kennel I am writing angrily >.<! Cruentus Adficio (Damage Taken): Light self damage... 25%
Cruentus Adficio (Damage Dealt): Will be noted in next post if any damage is done or not.
After offering his warning to the Organization Member, Genesis Rhapsodos had returned his attention back to the Heartless, whom seemed to remain stationary for a moment as it perhaps pondered the words spoken by the Scarlet SOLDIER. However, Genesis was slightly confused. In past days, all the Heartless he had stumbled across attacked without hesitation. Why wasn't this creature not doing the same? Also, why was it looking for things within the library? Either it's ability to detect hearts were on the blink or... could it actually have a greater intelligence then normal Heartless? Come to think of it, this creature was the first Heartless encountered that resembled a human the most. So what was different? True, Genesis' knowledge of things within these worlds wasn't the greatest and it would seem his only path for getting answers would be from the man in the black coat behind him. That settled it then. If the Heartless attacked, Genesis would need to protect the Organization Member.
With bright blue eyes locked onto the Heartless, the SOLDIER 1st Class noticed that it was looking around, possibly checking out paths to take and cover to seek if battle ensued. Genesis really wasn't that keen of a fighter, despite his almost 'super-human' strength and abilities, but like how the Heartless was feeling, the Scarlet SOLDIER got the impression that there would be no way to avoid battle. This monster reeked of Darkness and it would only be a matter of time before said Darkness took control. While Genesis believed the Heartless to have greater Darkness then himself, the SOLDIER had the advantage of numbers with Zexion fighting alongside him. The most logical thing then would be to get one person either side of the Heartless to make life twice as difficult. Pity they were in a library... the bookshelves made ideal cover for darting down to escape being caught in a 'pincer' attack.
Then the Heartless spoke up, quoting something from what sounded like it belonged in a sadistic poem of sorts. Then what happened next actually shocked the SOLDIER slightly, his eyes widened a fraction but no other facial reaction displayed. The creature actually sliced it's own hand open with it's weapon. What was that for? Were it that confident about fighting the SOLDIER and the Nobody that it was giving itself a disadvantage? "What are you doing?!" Genesis actually spoke up, taking a single step forwards but resisting the urge to reach out and stop the creature. For all Genesis knew, the monster would attack first chance it got and that katana it held seemed to effortlessly slice through it's flesh. No doubt it'll do exactly the same to him if he got too close with his guard down. Speaking of such things, Genesis raised his Rapier up to chest height and pointed the long weapon towards the Heartless. "I see the Darkness has made you mad... there is no hope for you it seems..."
With careful, battle experienced eyes watching for any sudden movements from the Heartless, Genesis quickly caught sight of the forward dash it made. Flexing his knees quickly, the SOLDIER launched himself up into the air, the motion causing his long crimson coat to flap like a flag upon a pole. Reaching the height of his jump, next to the ceiling itself, Genesis pressed a hand upon the cracked, old ceiling and pushed himself back down to earth, landing with a thud upon one of the bookshelves, taking advantage of the higher ground. Whirling around, Rapier being extending in defense, the Scarlet SOLDIER caught sight of a spray of blood passing where he once stood, which then turned into a cluster of needle looking objects and eventually smashed into the wall nearby and shattered like glass. The same seemed to happen for Zexion but before he could call a warning, Genesis noticed the Heartless had vanished. Locking his bright blue eyes onto Zexion, his brow tightening, Genesis noticed a Dark Portal within the wall behind where he was once standing and coming out of it was the missing Heartless. "DUCK!!!!" Genesis shouted towards the Nobody.
Whether Zexion had indeed ducked or was rended asunder from whatever the Heartless had planned, the Scarlet SOLDIER raised his left arm up before himself, his palm open as he encircling it around an imaginary sphere before himself. As he did so, a bright ball of flame appeared within his palm, which he quickly swung before himself just the once, firing off three Flashes towards the Heartless. The Flash spell wasn't particularly powerful but the Flashes had enough 'oomph' in their explosions to knock a grown man off his feet and cause fiery burns. Whether his spell hit home or missed altogether, Genesis had his eyes locked onto the Heartless like a hawk, watching as the creature darted off between two rows of bookcases and thus escaping his field of vision. Instead of cursing or shouting out once more, Genesis merely smiled to himself slightly as he closed his eyes for a moment, deciding to play along with this game of 'cat and mouse', much like what happened between himself and 'Artemis'. "Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess, we seek it thus, and take to the sky. Ripples form on the water's surface, the wandering soul knows no rest." Genesis said aloud, rather casually as he hopped over a gap between bookcases and glanced down either side to try and spot the Heartless. Knowing a fight was now completely unavoidable, it wasn't going to deter the SOLDIER from trying to get information out of the creature. "What were you looking for in the books...?" He asked, wondering if the monster still had any control over itself and it's Darkness.
((OOC: Oh poop -_-. Of course attack the Nobody, I see how it is! ^.~ Also, when I read it the first time and Genesis screamed "Duck" I laughed and said "GOOOSE!!!" to my computer ^.^))
A monster born of Darkness in a person’s heart… Animalistic in nature, striving to only gather more hearts… a mindless creature… Everything Zexion thought he knew about Heartless was being tested with this creature’s human-like reactions and want for knowledge. How can a Heartless have the intellect of a human? Is it… like me, the formed version of a creature that shouldn’t be smarter then an animal? And instead of having to rival with the lack of emotion, it has the rival with it’s instincts of… animalistic nature? It was all quite plausible and the Cloaked Schemer was beginning to think that maybe this creature would be satisfied with just having knowledge… that it would leave this place before it had to resort to violence. He wasn’t sure what the man in front of him could tell the Heartless, but Zexion knew more then enough to answer any questions that the female could of thrown at him.
But it was too late for that.
Zexion’s thoughts were cut short by a reciting from Oedipus Rex. The Nobody frowned slightly knowing that the story was a tragedy and perhaps that it was some version of foreshadowing that was to become them. And no sooner had that notion enter his head then the Heartless slice open its hand and let the blood fall… just as Oedipus had stabbed out his own eyes…
"What are you doing?!" Zexion’s makeshift ally called out to the Heartless in some sort of half horror. Zexion had no clue what the Heartless intentions were in doing that. It could have been some sort of punishment, but by the reaction of the Heartless… that wasn’t likely. So an… attack?
The man in the red cloak had dashed at the Heartless, somehow using a jumping maneuver to get onto higher ground, on top of one the bookshelves. Zexion swiftly looked back at the Heartless, realizing that he was suddenly alone and saw the female running at him. An image of Riku charging at him, Soul Eater in a similar position, flashed in the Nobodies mind. He shifted to his right, hiding behind the skinny part of the Bookshelves that was next to him, barely missing the blood needles coming at him. So it was an attack… The blood hit the wall and splattered onto the Nobody as he shielded himself with his arms and Lexicon.
I need an attack! Lexicon started to float in front of the Nobody as he frantically thought of what could help him in this situation. Yet before he could decide on something worthwhile, he heard his companion scream for him to Duck. Reflexively the Nobody looked up at the ceiling to see the Heartless with its Blade coming downward to impale him. He nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight, reflexively bringing Lexicon up to block the attack. The Book worked like a sword in the manner of blocking, but the blades force was so powerful Zexion was slammed more into the bookshelf, dropping him to all fours on the ground. Head ringing, Zexion barely registered the Heartless running off as he struggled to get up to his feet. Over the ringing in his ears, he heard the man in the red cloak recite something that sound like a poem… so the Heartless must have disappeared from view…
“This is… absurd! You think you can be forgiven?” Zexion’s Lexicon glowed and Clones of the petite scholar appeared next to them, totaling to three of him in total. The clones were identical to him, blood spatter and all. Wearing identical smirks, they wandered to separate parts of the Library, to weed the Heartless into the open…. Or at least the middle.
~~~~~ Clone: Zexion has the ability to clone himself and his Lexicon so that there are three of them in total on the battlefield (the original and two clones). The Clones of Zexion and the Clones of Lexicon may be out at the same time. Clones are destroyed by two hits or one with large damage. (Duration: Until the clones are destroyed, Cooldown: 2 posts [Cooldown does not start until clones are destroyed])

OOC: Cruentus Adficio: Medium Damage to Zexion 25% self damage + 33% = 58% full orb IC: A smirk curved against the Heartless’ lips at the relative success of her attack, having now separated the two and having scored a decent blow against the Nobody. While she had hoped to impale him through the stomach and finish him quickly, it was a small victory none the less and she was going to take it and it all was going according to plan anyway. Although she wanted to take a little more time to enjoy that everything was going accordingly, the man in the red coat soon made his presence known once more. Unaware, the Heartless was pelted by a ball of light, causing her to stumble as she dashed forward and had reached the one end of the bookcase. The other hit her in the side as she turned and took off into the row immediately to her left as the last one had barely grazed the shelf causing it to explode on the bookcase as opposed to her (Medium Damage = 33% + 58% = 91%). It was upon being hit by these that Zexion had also began to act, his clones being summoned and beginning to move, the sounds of three distinct footfalls not being missed by the Heartless over Genesis’ question. She was a bit perplexed at the fact, wondering why he hadn’t yet teleported them to a different dimension like he had done in their previous battle but not letting it bug her too much. No instead she was more worried about the Zexion approaching her from the opposite end of the bookcase. Her left hand quickly clawed at her chest, using those sharp nails to dig into her skin and get the last bit of blood necessary to fill up her blood orb (Light damage = 9% + 91% = 100%). She made the scratch shallow, well aware that her blood orb had been nearly ready to use and didn’t need to cut too deep to satisfy it yet… the madness was swallowing her up more and more. “I’m not losing to madness!” she shouted as she quickly switched her blade to the left hand. As she did so and was mere feet away from the Zexion going down this row, she would suddenly kick off the bookshelf to her right lightly, shaking it lightly. Her momentum would carry her toward the one on her left, pushing off that one as well and was now at Genesis’ level of height. Using only her peripheral vision to see him, the Heatless swung her katana with her left hand, a crescent shaped blade of blood being released from it (Cruentus Acus) aimed toward Genesis. The blade was rather wide, about 5 feet in length and if it struck successfully would quickly constrict around Genesis and deal severe damage. Seeing as the distance between the two had been rather short, the likelihood of the attack striking home was high as well as the fact that not many would expect a blade of blood to suddenly come at them when the person using the attack wasn’t even looking straight at them. Regardless, the Heartless would then use the momentum from the second wall jump to flip over the bookcase, showing off a little bit of her aerial prowess, “I’m looking for my Veritas (truth),” the Heartless replied softly to Genesis’ earlier question as she groaned lightly, the pain from the earlier attack while pleasing made running a bit difficult. Regardless, she quickly darted off diagonally across the middle of the room, clenching her left fist tightly and causing it to bleed even more, hoping that it would help satisfy the madness eating away at her sanity and give her more time to win this battle... on her own merit. ‘The plan’s about a third of the way there,’ she thought as she quickly turned into the nearest row of books to escape her pursuers for hopefully just another moment… unless of course she had just happened to pick one of the three rows that the other Zexion had went down in search of her… then she might be in quite the bind. Up on the higher ground, the Scarlet SOLDIER had a much better view of the library around him and thus was able to clearly see what had happening with his temporary Organization ally. Fortunately, it seemed the SOLDIER's warning had paid off for the man in the black coat had managed to evade the blood and blocked the surprise sword strike. Though even Genesis felt the force of the blow as he watched the Nobody stagger back into a bookshelf before collapsing to his hands and knees. A look of concern appeared on Genesis's features as he took a moment to keep his eyes upon the Nobody, wondering if he had it in him to get back to his feet. Thankfully, the Nobody seemed to be tougher on the inside then what his fragile looking figure revealed. A subtle nod of his head confirmed the SOLDIER's acknowledgement, mainly to himself, that Zexion was alright. That meant he could return his attention back to finding the Heartless.
After hopping from the top of one bookcase to the next, the SOLDIER 1st Class heard the man in the black coat speak up, causing him to temporarily glance over his shoulder. Watching as that strange book he used to block the creatures sword strike began to glow, the Scarlet SOLDIER raised an eyebrow with an impressed 'heh' escaping his lips upon sight of the two clones of the petite scholar. ~That's not a bad idea...~ The LOVELESS fan mused as he glanced back down between a row of bookcases in search of the Heartless, but finding nothing. The Library was like a maze and finding the Heartless would be easier and quicker if Genesis and the Organization XIII member had more eyes to help them look. So, that decided that. Raising his left arm up before himself, Genesis closed his eyes for a moment as he gathered his strength and focused it into a spell. A small aura appeared around the SOLDIER as the magical energies within his body came to life. Genesis was not only an expert in swordsmanship, but he too was skilled in the magical arts. Extending his arm before him, looking to an area of the bookcase before him, a flash of light and a small breeze of wind escaped Genesis's body as he copied the petite scholar, summoning a Genesis Clone Level 2.
Unlike Zexion, Genesis's clone was different. It donned the same clothing but the clone had degradation covering parts of his body, mostly it's shoulders and hair. The clone sported half of Genesis' own stats and had knowledge of a few of the SOLDIER's signature attacks. It would not be easy to defeat by a warrior of mediocre skill. Deciding to split up, Genesis himself switched places with the clone and hopped down between two rows of bookcases, swiftly heading down to the farthest end away from Zexion before glancing around to corner in hopes of spotting the Heartless. The Clone remained on top of the bookshelves and span around in alarm when one of the bookcases nearby shook from an impact. The clone narrowed it's eyes as it watched the Heartless leap up to it's own level. Raising it's own Rapier up defensively, the Clone lunged forwards to attack but was caught off guard by the wave of blood heading towards it. Due to the short distance between Clone and Heartless, the Clone was hit by the blood wave and was dealt a serious blow when it suddenly constricted around him, literally squeezing the life out of it like a Boa Constrictor. However the clone didn't make a single sound other then it's body collapsing upon the wooden surface of the bookshelf.
After hearing this and the Heartless' reply to his question, the Scarlet SOLDIER took a quick glance down another row of bookshelves but only spotted the petite scholar, or one of his clones, doing the same thing. Returning his attention to the ceiling, Genesis jumped back up to the top of the shelves and looked upon his Clone, whom had managed to roll onto it's stomach and was pushing itself back up to it's feet. It looked hurt, but not defeated. "Did the Truth hurt, or did you not find your answer yet? What will you do when you find your answer? You're still one of considerable threat to these worlds... regardless of what you find, people will still hunt you down." Genesis spoke out, hopping quickly across several rows of bookcases as if they were stepping stones, before finally catching sight of the Heartless dashing down below him. Skidding to a halt, Genesis turned quickly and raised his left arm up into the air, a small fiery purple flame appearing within his hand. Crouching down and thrusting his left hand down upon the bookshelf, a large Shadow Flare suddenly erupted a short distance before the Heartless, Genesis aiming the spell before the creature to try and make it stop. He wasn't done there though. Remaining crouched, a further 4 more Shadow Flares would burst up in violent dark purple explosions from the ground, each one attempting to track the Heartless' movements so it could erupt right underneath the monster.
Flash - Ready to use. Genesis Clone Level 2 - Clone has 50% health remaining. Will dispel automatically in 4 posts unless defeated beforehand. Shadow Flare - 2 Posts.

((OOC: Yeah… I’m lazy, but I ain’t going to lose this raid. Sorry for the amount of time it took me to write this… Vacation from school just started))
Controlling clones was an interesting sensation… almost like having two more sets of eyes, arms, legs, ears and everything else. The reason the illusion was so uniformed was, unlike most cloning abilities; Zexion had near complete control over the clones, using them as an attack rather then just a defense. They weren’t like summoning a Nobody or a weaker Heartless, they were more like controlling a spell. True, with his concentration having to go in three separate places, it left the Nobody open for an attack, especially the clones themselves, but it wouldn’t be obvious who was a clone and who wasn’t until one was fell.
It also didn’t help that his head still hurt.
Zexion himself was wandering the bookshelves with his clones, making a perimeter search to draw the female Heartless into the middle while the clones remained on the outside. True… if this Heartless had seen him fight before it might have been an obvious maneuver, but if Zexion could keep the Heartless grounded then it might be successful.
A few flashes of light near one of the clones alerted Zexion to the fact that his ally had a successful attack against the Heartless. He quickly moved the clone at the end of the bookshelf towards her hoping to perhaps distract the women long enough for him and the other clone to run towards it, but she had already reacted, jumping up to his allys height. Having just run into the row of shelves beneath the red cloaked man, he noticed the Heartless turning to attack the man. “LOOK OUT!” He shouted up at the man, his Lexicon automatically going to bash the Heartless off balance. It missed, by a fraction due to the bloodlusting women’s speed, and he saw his ally get hit by the blade that went around and constricted like a snake.
But… it WASN’T his ally.
Taken aback, Zexion slowly noticed something different about the man, especially when it didn’t cry out. Opening his senses again, Zexion realized that the stench of darkness his ally had was coming from a row or two over, near another clone. The man can summon clones as well?
But the powers of his ally were the least of the petite scholar’s worries. He had just shouted out to the clone of the red-cloaked man… giving off the fact that he was the REAL Zexion, as the clones were incapable of speech. And further more… the Heartless was dashing down into his row.
Face to face with the Heartless, Zexion’s mind flashed back to the fight that had basically killed him before. The enemy was close… far to close for the Cloaked Schemer’s liking. So like just like he had done in the fight against Riku, he had a ditch effort to convince the Heartless to give up. Of course, Zexion never planned to let the Heartless go, but to convince it to stop fighting them… and maybe to stop charging at him. “You are like us, on this side of Darkness, a dark being looking for some sort of truth! You want to fight against what you have, what you are! I know what that is like and I can provide the answers you are looking for!"
But before the Heartless had a chance to respond or even let the words sink in, Zexion heard a screeching of boots against the shelves and saw the real Red-cloaked man raising some purplish magic into his hands. Turquoise eyes widening, knowing that the man couldn’t possibly know he was there, Zexion backed out of the row, throwing himself sideways (to his right) as the blast went off. As he hit the ground, his already injured head, throbbed more, causing the man to let out a small gasp in pain. Four blows of the spell done by his ally followed in suit of the initial, keeping Zexion on the floor.
He was open, way too open to an attack at this point. The Nobody struggled to his feet, it proving to be difficult as his world kept spinning. If the Heartless had somehow managed to avoid the attack AND come in the same direction as the Nobody had thrown himself into… he was doomed indeed.
This was the reason the Cloaked Schemer didn’t like to fight.
((OOC: Oh… this seems a good raid post for me! And also, I love how you call him the petite scholar! It’s such a good name, isn’t it?))

“Tsk,” escaped the Heartless’ lips as she realized that her attack had been wasted on a clone, ‘Does everyone have a damn cloning ability?’ she pondered for just a second before letting her thoughts focus on the progress of the battle thus far. As it was, she was by far losing, having only managed one hit on the Nobody that hadn’t dealt fatal damage and had taken quite a bit of damage thus far to deal it. Not only that, but she had wasted a full blood orb on a clone that hadn’t even been felled by the blow, a fact made apparent as it had made a resounding thud when it hit the ground and she managed to hear the distinct sound of its clothing ruffling as it picked itself up. It was disheartening but if her grand scheme worked out like she hoped it would then she’d be able to defeat both warriors and their clones as well. The thought gave her little solace but her victory would only be achieved if she could finish up the preparations for the counter attack and stay alive until then. "Did the Truth hurt, or did you not find your answer yet? What will you do when you find your answer? You're still one of considerable threat to these worlds... regardless of what you find, people will still hunt you down,” the man in the red coat explained, Hadria gritting her teeth at the notion, well aware of the fact. No matter what answer Hadria had gotten to her questions, the pile of corpses she had left behind in her travels would all be sins that were unforgiveable. She would constantly be chased by those seeking revenge and if not just them, but any warriors of Light that had that uncanny ability to sense the Darkness that resided inside her. From all over the universe they would come to face her, surely attempting to slay her and no matter how many times she killed them, they would swarm her like locust. Indeed, if there was one thing those pink-skins were good at (aside from confusing the hell out of the Heartless in question), it was reproducing and there’d always be another fool that would test their luck against the Heartless… and yet… wasn’t that just a part of life? Conflict and struggle were a part of everyone’s life, it was an unavoidable circumstance of humanity that was inevitable. While Hadria surely wasn’t a human in the strictest sense, she thought more of herself than that of the average Heartless at the very least and something that deserved to get the answers she wanted as well as live her life the way she pleased after doing so. “I won’t know that until I get that answer will I? Who knows what the answer may be but whatever it ends up being I won’t stop until I get it. And you can hunt me as much as you please, I’ll beat you down every time… if you happen to survive this encounter anyway,” the Heartless replied, the last bit of her dialogue whispered. A grin curved against her lips, a grin that she had never grinned before and was far less frightening than the one she normally wore. The madness inside her was receding, the small epiphany that occurred during this raging battle helping her keep it in check. Regardless, her eyes fell upon the petite scholar that had been largely useless in the battle thus far, Hadria not sure whether it was a clone or not at this point until it began to speak, pleading for Hadria to stop in exchange for answers she desired. While it sounded like a great deal, really it did, Hadria was not going to believe that an individual specializing in illusions was past telling bold-faced lies to save his skin. This also made her rather certain that he was the real Zexion but before she could hope to confirm it by driving her blade into the pit of his stomach, the man who seemed to enjoy standing on bookshelves had begun attacking. A fiery explosion erupted in front of the Heartless, barely managing to slow her slide down and jump back to avoid the brunt of the blast. Despite the attempt at avoiding damage completely, her back slammed into the wall behind her as she let out a gasp for air, as blood seeped from her self-inflicted wounds (light damage = 25%). She fell to the ground, her arms stretched out in front of her to hold her up. Before she could hope to even get a chance to breathe though, the ground beneath her began to turn the same mix of purple and black that the first attack had been. She quickly picked herself up, making a dash forward and avoiding the first blast that came. Another would then attempt to nail her again but Hadria was rather certain that her opponent would aim his shots where Hadria WOULD be as opposed to WHERE she was. Her assumption proved to be correct and as each flare attempted to erupt beneath her once again, she’d speed up just enough to escape the blast. Unfortunately, this strategy had its limits and was thought quickly in desperation, and once Hadria had maxed out her speed the final blast had managed to catch her from beneath, erupting beneath her and slamming her up against the ceiling (heavy damage = 50% + 25% = 75%). She fell onto the bookshelf immediately next to the one Genesis stood upon, rolling off of it and falling to the ground near the end of the row that Zexion was currently attempting to regain his bearings. The damage she had taken now was really beginning to take its toll, not that the pain was anything new but her body didn’t want to work. Indeed, while Hadria was a Heartless, she had a human form and even with her enhanced attributes far above that of any normal human, she had her limits. Her bones were being smashed against cobblestone, her bleeding wasn’t stopping and depleting her stamina, and her muscles were aching from the intense amount of strain she was putting upon them while also taking damage… but she was enjoying it. A smile curved against her lips as she slowly picked herself up, the pain coursing through her body a delight that wasn’t lost upon her as she whipped her head back and laughed. She laughed loudly, a sound echoing throughout the library but unlike the last fit of laughter she had it sounded… human. The blood puddled around her as it ran down the row of bookshelves she was in and she held herself up on her katana, heavy panting escaping her lips. “This is the first time…” she began, speaking more than loud enough for the two and their clones (if they cared to) hear, “that I’m grateful for something. Due to your interference it seems I got just a tad closer to my Veritas (truth) than I thought I would. That being said why don’t you come down here and let me thank you personally?” she taunted, looking up to the bookshelves to see if Genesis had jumped one over. Had he done so, he’d surely see the smirk on her face as she motioned with her free left hand to come down. Whether he did or not was up to the EX-SOLIDER, and while Hadria had wanted to attack Zexion earlier, the opportunity was surely missed by now due to Genesis’ support. If the Nobody would come to assist the man in the red coat was also another question that Hadria didn’t feel bothered to answer and would be content regardless… her counter-attack was about to start.
