Cid was furious, mainly at himself. To fall to such a level where he could just sit there and talk to the enemy as if they were the best of friends?! "Gack!! Would wanna make anyone ter #*%$@*& retch..." Cid grumbles to himself loudly as he actually started to feel sick. Tseng was the enemy, no doubt about that. Tseng protected Rufus who was also the enemy. He was sucking all the life out of the planet anyway for his own plans. Powering the Sister Ray to try and destroy Sephiroth... Pah, they were just as bad as one another! The scruffy pilot needed to cool off, but being in a world that felt like it was only getting hotter and hotter, well it was a hard thing to do. The pilot just continued to walk onwards instead, blocking out all the sounds of the crowds and vendors around him until all he could hear was the sand crunching beneath his boots as he walked.
"I need a cigarette..." Cid finally said to himself as he stopped and glanced around his surroundings. Spying a palm tree not too far away covering a nice area of the ground with a cool looking shade, the Captain turned his body and began to walk towards the tree. Upon reaching it, he turned around once more and leaned against the trunk, folding his arms across his chest as he did so before grunting and closing his eyes, maneuvering the toothpick to the opposite side of his mouth using his tongue. "If what Cloud said was true... then Rufus is trying to make amends for his past actions... Hmph." Cid mumbled to himself as he reopened his eyes to stare at a small lizard skittering around his brown leather boots, trying to find somewhere comfortable to rest in the shade. The dragoon's eyebrow twitched as he kicked his foot out, sending the lizard flying across the street and into a crowd of people. A few women screamed which caused a small portion of the moving wave of people to stop and look over. Cid just raised his head in the direction the lizard went and ended up letting out a small chuckle.
"Guess it's not Tseng's fault... he's only workin' for his boss at ter end of ter day. Plus I figure he's got bigger issues to deal wit' regardin' Kadaj and Sephiroth... not us AVALANCHE..." Cid shook his head and ran one of his leather covered hands through his messy, sand ridden hair. Cid's thoughts fell silent as he remained where he was, staying in the shade of the palm tree to escape the heat of this world. His bright blue eyes watched the scene before him for a few more minutes, until he spotted the lizard scurrying away quickly from a rather butch looking palace guard wielding a scimitar above his head. A light bulb turned on inside the pilots mind after spotting the palace guard and he quickly pushed himself up off the tree, walking a few paces forwards towards the main street. Stopping and turning to one side, Cid smiled to himself as his eyes fell upon the magnificent palace down the main street, where Aladdin and Jasmine lived.
"I wonder where Sora is now? I hope that numskull has upgraded his Gummi Ship or i'll have to go Jenova on his ass..." Cid said to himself once more, his eyes not leaving the towers of the Sultan's Palace. Another cool breeze blew past gently and the scruffy dragoon closed his eyes and spread out his arms once more the instant he felt it hit. It was only when it had passed did the blond-haired pilot glance over his shoulder towards where he had left Tseng. From what little reactions and words were exchanged between them both, Cid knew that Tseng was lost in this world and was only getting more and more worried about Rufus. But what could he do...?

[Heartless we're pulling in: Pot Spider | Fat Bandit | Bandit | Shadow Heartless]
-------
Tseng took a bit to calm down. Rufus would be fine. Kadaj wasn't just going to kill the President. Rufus had more use then that. He'd find a way to keep himself alive, whether he lied to Kadaj or not. That's when he heard a scream. But, it died down with some laughing. Obviously something had startled the women but wasn't a threat in the slightest.
So, the turk took a few more bites of his apple before discarding it. He decided to put a bit of his attention on his gun. It probably was due for a cleaning and it was sure to have sand in it. So, he took a little time to clean the gun to the best of his ability with the supplies he had on him. Tseng wasn't going to survive long if he gun jammed in the middle of a fight.
After that was done, he put his two materias back into the slots on his gun and stood. He holstered his gun and picked up his suit jacket. It was time to explore and see if he could find a way out of the desert. The only way he was getting anywhere would be to walk.
That's when he heard another scream. At first, he assumed it was another person being startled. That is, till he noticed the crowded street sudden become abandoned except for vendor's carts, a few palace guards, and some strange looking creatures. That's when Tseng realized he had let his guard down a little bit.
The pain was real and it took him a moment to realize one of the Heartless Bandits had gotten a sword swipe on him. Well, it wasn't going to happen again. With a snap of his wrist, his gun was in hand and he unloaded three bullets into the heartless before it disappeared. "They're stronger here. Damn it." He growled. That meant he'd need to use more then one bullet per creature.
The guards seemed to be holding their own rather well. But, the one women holding a basket of fruit was surround by a few of these bandits and a rather Fat Bandit Heartless. Quickly shifting over, he shot down the first two, allow the women to get away. But, any bullets that hit the Fat Bandit seemed to only slow him a little and ricochet off his stomach. "Hmm. This isn't looking good."
Something seemed to have set these heartless off. That, or they were waiting till now to strike. It didn't make a lot of sense at the moment. Where these things called Heartless as well? Tseng wasn't sure what they were but he figured he'd worry about that later on. Right now, there was a fight on his hand.
"Quake 2" The sand beneath the heartless shifted, causing the fat bandit to lose it's balance and fall face first. Tseng smirked at this and shifted off, leaving the heartless behind. Now, where to go? There had to be a good place to wait this out without getting too personally involved.

Cid's admiration of the Sultan's Palace was brief at best, since another scream had came out from the crowds a street away that sounded slightly more terrified then the previous one involving the lizard. Casting a glance over his shoulder, the scruffy pilot managed to catch the final glimpse of the palace guard still chasing the lizard off round a corner before disappearing from sight. Well, he was too far away to cause any more commotion, plus the scream had came from the opposite direction. Turning tail, Cid rounded himself back to face the direction he had traveled away from the Turk. Noticing this, the Captain frowned as he wondered what Tseng was getting up to now. Yet the gunfire indicated only one thing. Tseng was in trouble.
Cid darted off without thinking, dodging as best he could between the fleeing crowds that were growing in number by the second. it only took one of the herd to run for the rest of the cattle to follow suit, and trying to run against the waves like this was difficult. So Cid made a plan. The first free chance he got, the pilot of the Shera made a B-Line for the nearest building and with a smirk, used his Dragoon abilities to Jump up onto the roof. There were no people up here. Just a few birds. Running across the roof to the opposite side, Cid took in what was going on and noticed a washing line... that was merely a piece of rope tied from one side of the building he was standing on to the building opposite was present. It looked sturdy enough to the blond-haired pilot jumped onto the rope and slide across like he was riding a wave on a surfboard. "Wahoo!!" Cid yelped excitedly as he used the tension of the rope to spring himself up and over the street below to the building opposite. All the washing on the line had fallen off and was now lost in the fleeing crowds below.
With a grin, the scruffy dragoon darted across the next rooftop till he reached the other side, upon where he glanced down and noticed Tseng wasting a few of his bullets on the Fat Bandit. From the looks of things, it seemed clear enough that the Turk recognized what these creatures were and was trying to deal with the situation. Yet being the only person in Argabah to be carrying and using a firearm, was probably causing some suspicious to the residents of this world... not that they'd actually notice, thanks to the Heartless. Looking up past Tseng, the pilot caught sight of a Pot Spider and 2 Shadow Heartless, one submerged in the ground trying to take his rear. Cid's bright blue eyes quickly took in the situation. Fat Bandit was laying face down between himself and Tseng with the other three Heartless approaching the Turk's rear...
So...
"TSENG!!" Cid shouted as he threw his arm back behind himself, causing a flash of light to erupt from his palm which revealed his long, hand-made spear. "Get down!!!" Was all the warning the Turk would get, for Cid was already making his move. Leaping off from the rooftop, the pilot carried out the second half of his Jump, propelling himself down towards the Fat Bandit that was just about getting up to it's feet. With a loud impact of spear slicing through Heartless, Cid attacked the back of the Fat Bandit, knocking off a fair portion of it's health. The impact caused the large Heartless to fly forwards towards Tseng, which Cid had planned would miss the Turk and smash into the other Heartless behind him, like a bowling ball against pins.

Tseng had stopped for a second when he heard his name. Was that Cid? However, the Turk didn't spot him till he saw the light and heard Cid tell him to get down. He didn't have the time to question this. Tseng shielded his head and ducked low for a moment.
As soon as he knew it was safe, and Cid was next to him, the Turk felt his smirk from earlier fade. The three heartless that were nearby had been crushed by the Fat Bandit and it seemed the bandit was as good as dead now. All he had to do was shift back a step so the Bandit missed him. "Thanks, but I really didn't need the help." The Turk glanced from Cid then up from where he'd come from. Strange he could move that fast and make it off a rooftop.
With only a moment of time to spare, Tseng pulled his gun clip out, making a disappointed expression at the amount of ammo left in his gun. All he had left was two more clips, his emergency clip plus what was in the gun already. But, he'd managed on less. Gosh, was it hot. Especially with his suit jacket pulled back on so he didn't lose it.
"I hope you didn't come all the way back here just to rescue me." Tseng put the clip back into his gun and surveyed around. "Because you wasted your energy in that case." A group of three Bandit's had obviously gotten past the guards and were headed right toward Cid and Tseng. Behind them, another Fat Bandit and a Pot Spider had decided to make a sneak attack.
"I guess the damn truce might be a good thing." Tseng grumbled, shifting and firing at the Bandits, his stance was defensive and ready for another run.

A satisfied and smug looking grin was spread across the pilot's face as his feet landed upon the sandy ground, watching as the Fat Bandit hurled across the area and smashed into the other Heartless. Thankfully, the Turk had ducked and was unharmed, except for the sword attack he received from the Bandit. Still things seemed clear for the time being and after crossing the area towards Tseng, Cid stabbed the end of his spear into the ground and leaned the weapon against his shoulder. Taking the toothpick out his mouth, the dragoon inspected the end before plopping it back between his teeth, eying the Turk with a more stern look in his eye as soon as the smartly-dressed mans words reached his ears.
"What are yer talkin' about? Y'think I'd attack the Heartless on yer behalf? Don't flatter yer'self. I just don't want the rest of you amateurs huntin' me down after they discover you were too foolish to duck the Fat Bandit and got crushed." Cid said, the twinkle in his eye from the sun causing him to shift his position slightly to avoid being blinded from the rays of the sun. Lifting up one of his leather gloved hands to his brow, Cid watched as the Turk pulled out his gun to check how many bullets he had left. Looked like a standard issue Turk firearm from where Cid was standing. Simple design but reliable. The pilot continued to watch in silence, the crowds of Agrabah's residents were still hustling in the distance, probably on other streets where the Heartless hadn't been spotted, but in the current area, it was just the Turk and the AVALANCHE.
"Yer low on ammo?" Cid asked as he took a step closer to the Turk as his eyes continued to examine the firearm that the Turk held within his hands. Getting a slightly closer look, the scruffy dragoon nodded his head slightly before taking a step back and staring the Turk in the eye. "Hmm, I think I got some ammo on the Shera. Y'know what Barret's like wit' his gun arm." Cid continued as he cast a glance over his shoulder, thinking he had heard something. Sure enough, more Heartless where on their way. That was odd though... Cid turned himself around to face the three Bandits being followed by another Pot Spider and another Fat Bandit. Why were they here? Surely they weren't after Tseng? He couldn't have a strong heart, right? This caused the AVALANCHE member to return a glance to Tseng, watching him for a second as he fired off a few rounds past him. ~Could they... really have changed...?~ The scruffy Captain thought to himself before quickly shaking the thoughts out his head, returning his position to face the Heartless once more.
Cid rotated one of his shoulders a couple of times, before taking hold of his spear in both hands, charging at the three Bandit's after Tseng finished firing. Not really trusting the Turk the Pilot hit the brakes as he drew near the Bandits, before dodge-rolling off to one side, avoiding the swipes and slashes of their swords. Creating a tiny cloud of dust from rolling across the sand, Cid pushed himself back up to his feet before charging at the Fat Bandit and the Pot Spider. The Captain had fair knowledge on most of the more well known Heartless, and knew that a frontal assault on this fat chap, would be useless. No need to waste any energy on a ability or skill then until he could either get behind him, or turn him around to allow Tseng to deal some damage. Closing the gap between himself and the Fat Bandit, Cid merely thrust his spear forwards, poking the Fat Heartless in the belly to only feel the creatures mass repel his attack and force him backwards. Cid staggered before falling back on his butt. "Gwah?!"

"What are yer talkin' about? Y'think I'd attack the Heartless on yer behalf? Don't flatter yer'self. I just don't want the rest of you amateurs huntin' me down after they discover you were too foolish to duck the Fat Bandit and got crushed." Tseng looked instantly amused by that comeback, light smirk on his face as he continued to glance over the gun. "Whatever allows you to sleep at night." Once that was over, he heard Cid ask about his ammo supply. But Tseng really didn't want to hear another smart comment about not keeping more on him. But what came wasn't what he expected. "Lower then I want to be. But you can't prepare for getting pulled off a planet." The Turk stated, glad that Cid had pretty much offered to re-supply him. But the battle was at hand. That was more important then their plans afterward. He'd managed to destroy two of the three Bandit's when Cid decided to cut in front of him. This forced the turk to stop firing. With a muttered curse, he advanced, killing the Bandit before it could do anything else. That's when he looked up to see Cid get knocked back by the Fat Bandit. It seemed all attack on him from the front were useless. The pilot going down, Tseng decided to give the materia another go. Maybe it'd have the same effect as before? "Quake 2" He stated, the sand beneath the Fat Bandit causing it to fall sideways onto the Pot Spider. Though, the spider was smart enough to move and head toward the fallen Cid. Tseng sighed, stepping in front and shooting the Pot Spider. Sadly, the Fat Bandit had already started to get up. "Well? You going to sit around and make me do all the work?"The Pot Spider continued to advance, the bullets doing little to destroy it. The Fat Bandit was almost sorta up. Hopefully the two could take them down.

The materia that Tseng used to upset the balance of the Fat Bandit, also caused a fair amount of sand to be thrown up and around the area slightly. Nothing too serious, but Cid was now patting at his hair to get some of the sand out of it. Glancing up, the pilot was half expecting the Fat Bandit to be ready to try and flatten him, but fortunately the Quake had worked and the Heartless was staggering about slightly trying to catch itself. Grasping his spear in one hand, the scruffy dragoon pushed himself up to his feet just in time to spot the Pot Spider coming his way. The blond-haired man let out a small grunt. "Persistent little bastards, aren't they?" Cid said, mainly to himself as he stood back up straight, readying his spear to defend against the Pot Spider. Thankfully, a couple of shots from Tseng's firearm had distracted the Pot long enough for Cid to calculate a plan.
Upon spotting the fat Bandit getting back up to his feet, which then turned into the pilot's direction, Cid narrowed his eyes slightly as he reached one of his arms back behind himself, before taking hold of a stick of dynamite tucked into his belt. Making sure he held it securely within his fist, pinching the wink between his thumb and index finger, the dragoon reached up towards his goggles with his free hand, grasping at a match that was tucked between the goggle strap and the side of his head. The Fat Bandit looked like it was about to take in a deep breath of air, most likely so it could bletch out a flame of fire towards the AVALANCHE member. Thinking quickly, Cid snapped the match across the stubble covering his chin, igniting the head. The pilot eyed the Turk who was now standing before him and dealing with the Pot Spider. At this rate, the Fat Bandit would fry them both with it's fiery breath...
"You might wanna duck again..." Cid said, loud enough for the Turk to hear before the snap-hiss of the dynamite's fuse was lit by the match. Waiting a second or two, blowing on the fuse to make it burn down quicker, Cid waited for the Fat Bandit to open it's huge mouth before throwing the Dynamite threw the air and straight into the Fat Bandit's mouth. The Heartless looked surprised for a second before swallowing and continuing to carry out it's attack. Cid chuckled and punched at the air, before suddenly remembering that dynamite explodes. "Oh shi--" The pilot said, turning around and diving across a vendors stall that wasn't too far away from him. A heavy thud came from the other side as Cid hit the sand, followed by the clatters and tinkles of the stalls items, half of which Cid had dragged down with him as he dove.
A deep, bass-sounding "BUMPH" came from within the Heartless, an instant before the creature exploded outwards, disappearing into nothingness apart from the dark blue and purple wisps and heart which it let out. The ground shook slightly from the explosion though but no goo or body parts were splattered anywhere. Slowly, the blond-haired dragoon poked his head up from behind the vendor stall, wondering what happened to Tseng, but as soon as he noticed the wisps and heart floating away, the Captain just jumped up to his feet with a smug yell. "Oh yeah!!! Who's good?! I'm good!! Yahoo!!!" Cid said, praising himself since he knew outright that the Turk wouldn't even bat an eye-lid at him, instead expecting some complains or moaning about how stupid it was to use a stick on dynamite in a populated area. Cid didn't give a rats ass what Tseng thought. The Turks weren't his boss and Cid defeated the Heartless without injuring any residents of Argabah.

"Very..." Tseng replied, knowing he wasn't being spoken to. But he felt that he should respond in agreement. They were annoying, but not as bad as Reno could be. If Reno wanted something, he kept coming back till he got it. Wait, did he just compare Reno to a heartless? Heh, that was rather amusing. The Fat Bandit was back on his feet and the Pot Spider was still headed straight for the two. Thankfully, the bullets were enough of a distraction for Cid to come up with some sort of plan. However when the dynamite was pulled, Tseng became VERY leery. The only person he trusted with explosives was Rude. Those things were very dangerous and he'd had his run ins before. "You might wanna duck again..." Tseng's expression changed as he quickly shifted his position back. This was not going to be a fun ending. Tseng had already retreated back behind a stall, firing at the Pot Spider from his position to keep Cid safe. After a moment, the realization hit Cid and the pilot jumped rather recklessly over a stall. This caused all the contents to fall. Tseng ducked behind the stall and braced for the explosion. After the "BUMPH", the Turk stood and surveyed the area. It seemed the attacks were done. Cid also notice and began to jump around like a monkey and cheer. Tseng just shook his head. "I hope you know that was extremely stupid and reckless. There was probably a better way to handle the situation..."But, the comment dropped and Tseng holstered his gun once more. Relief was on his face. That was probably one of the longest battles he'd had in a while. He was more the person behind moving troops and plotting. He also did the occasional assassination. But, nothing as physically draining as a full fledged battle. He might have thought it was a great feeling, had it not been so hot. Ugh, but he was complaining about the heat too much in his head. Though, his stance didn't show any weakness other then the slash from the Bandit's blade. It wasn't that serious and a quick cure would fix it. With a swift motion, he used cure, glancing to see if Cid needed to be healed. Strangely he didn't seem to be harmed at all. Good.

((OOC: Short post. I apologize... *Cries and commits Seppuku.* )) Cid was already running out from behind the vendor stall of which he'd carelessly dived over, off towards where the Fat Bandit was once standing. A few small scorch marks were present upon the sand but with a swift kick of his foot, the pilot got rid of any evidence that a stick of dynamite was ever present within this world. Meddling was a bad thing, right? So Donald and Goofy always said. But Cid didn't care. He didn't care about the Meddling, didn't care on his tactics to defeating the Heartless and most importantly, he didn't care about the sounds that left Tseng's mouth. The scruffy pilot turned around and folded his arms across his chest, looking slightly agitated. "Aww shut yer gob Tseng!! We beat them didn't we?!" Cid shouted as he shook his head with annoyance. Turks always had to do things by the book, didn't they? What a boring lifestyle. It didn't take the pilot long to turn back around and celebrate some more over their victory.
It was only when he heard the sound of a spell via materia being cast, did the Pilot glance back over his shoulder. He narrowed his bright blue eyes for a second, which in turn caused him to glance at his spear, noticing that the materia slots within it were empty. That's right, he was going to head back to Gaia at some point to grab them from his house in Rocket Town... Unless Yuffie had already sniffed them out and stole them. Still that could be dealt with another day and the Captain eventually picked up his feet and walked back over to the Turk, eying him carefully until he noticed the slash in his clothing. The Cure seemed to have done the trick in healing him however. "... You ok?" Cid asked with a great deal of difficultly. He hated the Turks. He hated Tseng. He hated Rufus and Shin-Ra and every-bloody-thing else that involved this man and his boss. Except the obvious things like the Planet, AVALANCHE and Cloud's party. When the scruffy pilot caught the look within the Turk's eye that seemed to ask if he himself needed a Cure cast on him, Cid just shook his hand before him as well as his head in reply. It was going to take more then falling on his butt and diving over a vendor stall to require some healing.
Turning away slightly, Cid held his arm out to his side and watched as the spear he once held vanished into nothingness via a flash of bright light. No more Heartless were around so it would be easier to move and travel without having to haul that huge weapon around all the time. It was only now that the scruffy Dragoon returned his eyes to the Turk and watched him carefully. "What was this 'truce' thin' you mentioned a moment ago? I don't ever remember makin' any truces with anyone." Cid said, returning his arms to their usual folded position across his chest. His eyes were narrowed and his facial expression resembling that of someone who was ready to hear something he didn't want too.

(Don't worry about it. I am not posting that much either. I prefer you not kill yourself so we can torment Cloud. ^_^ Then have Kadaj stalk him. Lol. Mine are also pretty short too, sadly.) ---- "Aww shut yer gob Tseng!! We beat them didn't we?!" This phrase reminded him a lot of that toy Reeve built. The cat that was getting ShinRa information on Avalanche. Cait Sith was it's name. But he let that amuse him quietly. It seemed it had rubbed off on Cid a little. "Yes.... We did." He admitted. That's when he asked if Tseng was alright. Tseng made a face at this. Did Cid really just asked that? "Yes, I'm fine..." He stated. It was really strange. But Tseng didn't say anything about that. Cid made his spear disappear and continued to talk once more. "What was this 'truce' thin' you mentioned a moment ago? I don't ever remember makin' any truces with anyone." Tseng made an expression of disapproval. Glancing over Cid's expression, he realized that Cid wanted to hear this as much as he wanted to say it. "I assumed you knew. But it seems that Rufus and Vincent Valentine made some sort of truce between ShinRa and Avalanche. Some sort of a cease-fire until we stop Kadaj and the like." Tseng did not like the idea of having this truce. He still did not fully trust Avalanche. But if Rufus felt it was in the best interest of the company, then he was going to have to agree. But, once he got Rufus back from Kadaj, he was going to give the President a piece of his mind. That would be a promise.

Cid paused for a moment and just stood there watching the Turk as the words that just reached his ears, took a couple of seconds to fit together like a jigsaw. He blinked and then removed one of hiss brown leather gloves to rubs at his eyes for a moment, getting some of the sand and dust out of them from having stared at Tseng for a while. Did he just say that Rufus and Vincent had made some sort of Truce? Why wasn't it Cloud? Surely he was the leader of AVALANCHE right? The scruffy pilot narrowed his eyes and tightened his brow as he took a few paces towards the Turk. His expression didn't look particularly amused for his teeth were now bearing slightly as if he were a vicious dog. "Sorry, I don't think I 'eard you right there Tseng." Cid said as he closed the gap between themselves till Cid's face was right in the Turks.
"Rufus and Vincent made the truce between Shin-Ra and AVALANCHE to help fight against Kadaj and his ilk?" If Cid were smoking a cigarette, he'd have taken this chance to blow two lung fulls of smoke into the Turk's face. Sadly he wasn't smoking anymore and instead he just backed off before pulling the toothpick out between his teeth, fiddling with it between his fingers afterwards. "Hmph. Vincent used to be one of you Turk fools before he joined us right? No wonder he's still clingin' onto you idiots. I was wonderin' how long it would be before he teamed up with you amateurs again." Cid complained before turning his back on the Turk and walking off a few paces, rubbing at the back of his head in annoyance as he let Tseng's words process through his head a little longer. Sure, the sound of teaming up with another group to take out Kadaj and his Remnant buddies sounded a great idea.... but why the crap did Vincent go to see Rufus of ALL people in the world? What was he going to do next? Go find Sephiroth and ask to be friends with him too?!
Absurd...
The blond-haired Dragoon eventually turned back to face Tseng, stomping back over towards him before hitting the brakes a couple of feet away. He pointed a leather clad finger into the Turk's face. "And what use are you fools gonna be?! Kadaj himself personally wiped the floor with you and Elena at the Northern Crater and then did the same to Rude and Reno at the Healin' Lodge in Edge, right?! It also seemed that Cloud only beat Kadaj by chance as well. Teaming up with you ain't gonna do anythin' but cause even more problems!! AVALANCHE hate Shin-Ra enough as it is. Me, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Cloud... all of us!! This won't work!!!" Cid was shouting at the end of this rant, causing a few people from the street over to poke their heads around the corner to see what was going on, before they disappeared back to their shopping and general daily life.
The Captain of the Shera just let out a massive exhalation of air before slouching forwards so his hands were nearly touching his boots. Shaking his head a couple of times and making a few grumbling sounds, the pilot retained this position for a while longer. Eventually a mumbled voice came from somewhere in Cid's lowered position. "What's he thinkin'...? Sure I can image Rufus has money, but he hardly has any combat experience... and I don't expect anythin' amazin' to come from the Turks either..." Cid stood back up, trying not to make his back click as he did so, before resting his hands on his hips and his eyes on Tseng. "And what of Reno and the others? What do they think of this 'wonderful' idea Vincent and Rufus came up with?"

Cid was hitting Tseng's nerves once more. Especially with the distance they were now. Cid was right in his face and there was not a thing he could do until he made physical contact or attacked the turk. If only he would lean a fraction of an inch closer. Oh, then Tseng would have the change to really do what he wanted to the pilot. Sadly, Cid leaned away and backed off a few steps, babbling off again. He asked the most obvious question that Tseng felt there was no need to reply at this exact moment. So, he didn't bless Cid with a response. Though, the attack on Vincent was very amusing to hear. Tseng shrugged. "He is not a part of ShinRa. He might have been a turk at one point, but Cloud used to be a SOLDIER. Are you suggest he is going to turn coat as well?" Tseng looked slightly interested now. "How about yourself? You worked for ShinRa as well."But, Tseng didn't think his comment would reach Cid's ears. The angry air-pirate would only continue on his little rant. That's when he spoke the next set of words. This really hit Tseng hard. If Cid knew even the SLIGHTEST bit of what had happened, he wouldn't bring up such a harsh and pointless topic. 'And what use are you fools gonna be?! Me, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Cloud... all of us!! This won't work!!!' Tseng's fists clenched at his side. "You know nothing of what happened in the Northern Crater. There was no way Elena and I could have killed the three remnants ourselves. Reno and Rude also held up well enough by keeping Loz and Yazoo distracted. What, it took the whole damn lot of you to take down a summon? Please don't insult my intelligence. ShinRa held most of the burden while your party slacked up to the responsibility of saving the world. Rufus kept that damn head on his person to keep it out of Kadaj's hands at the expense of everyone around him and himself. He didn't reveal it till he was sure Cloud got his bearings to face Kadaj in the end." Tseng took a second. "What'd you do? Hm? From my reports you did nothing notable. Palmer could have done what you did and more!""This truce is pointless in my opinion as well. But Rufus ordered me to follow it to the best of my abilities.... As for the Turks knowing, Elena and Rude are currently off my radar and unaware. Reno is the only person that knows and his response to it is not something you need to know." When Tseng finished he took a breath, feeling much better then he had moments before. It was probably the most he had said in years in one sitting. Not even his rant to Reno about his pink post-it notes were that long. Anything else Cid had commented on had been tossed at the window...Except one name....Aerith? "Wait... did you say Aerith?" He'd inform Cid that Tifa was fine with this truce later. But his interest was changed. Aerith had been dead for a few years now. Did Cid mess up or something?

The blond-haired pilot turned around and stomped up to Tseng once again, pausing an arms length away as the scruffy dragoon bite hard onto his toothpick for a second, his eyes narrowing as his brow tightened. Vincent was one of AVALANCHE so he was on Cid's side. Sure it wasn't nice to speak of him in such ways, but whether or not the ex-Turk had spoke to Cloud prior to him making the truce with Rufus, was unknown. It would be smart to speak to Cloud directly. Still, Tseng's words irritated the pilot. "Yer talkin' out ya ass Tseng. Cloud'll never join you freaks again, after all he's discovered about Shin-Ra and what Rufus' sorry ass did to this planet. Killin' it like he did those civilians in Sector 6! I bet it was his sorry ass that ordered the Turks to destroy the pillar that held up the plate, not his father!" Cid pointed his leather gloved hand back into Tseng's face once more, his hand shaking slightly as he fought the urge to clench a fist and see how Tseng liked the taste of his own teeth.
"An' I never worked for you a**@^%$*'s! I only tagged along so I could go into outer space and realize my dream! Don't you EVER
associate me with you f*$#@£s!!!" Cid shouted, scaring off a few residents of Agrabah as they tried to sneak back down the street to reclaim some belongings that they had dropped during the chaos when the Heartless attacked. But Cid wasn't done yet. After his own rant about Rufus and how useless the Turks were, Tseng's response angered the pilot once more, causing him to step closer and shorten the gap between themselves again. Cid got back into Tseng's face, his nose nearly touching his own as he stared hard straight into the Turks' eyes, not looking anywhere else as he countered what was being told to him. "Your intelligence?! Ah-hahaha!! You're havin' a laugh ain't ya? I'd LOVE to see you idiots get squashed by Kadaj's summon where he to ever show his ugly butt once more. Intelligence?! Ha! Like that pathetic little pea-shooter of a gun will do anything to Bahamut SIN!! You'd be better off just standing there and accepting your fate. You're nothing Tseng. The Turks' are nothing, Rufus is nothing and Shin-Ra is nothing!!!"Cid yelled, his pointed finger lowering itself to clench into a fist, which then rested upon his own hip, ready to be fired out like a bullet from a gun. "Ooooo!! All hail the mighty Rufus Shinra for keeping a goddamn severed head on his body for such a long and awful time?! Oh no! it's not like having to fight for your life against a friggin' 50 foot summon who could wipe out Edge in one Mega Flare. Oh no! It's not like having to pilot the Highwind to the Northen Crater and fight against Sephiroth. Oh no! It's not like having to protect and defend many of the other worlds in this universe against the Heartless, Sephiroth, Kadaj and god knows what else out there. Yeah obviously Rufus is such an AMAZING hero that he puts everyone of us f*@#$&'s to goddamn shame!!!!!!?!?!?!?!" Yet as soon as he was finished, Cid's fist shot out from his hip as he aimed a punch charged up with all the rage and anger from his rant, directly towards the Turk's solar-plexus. That'll put him in his place and on his butt were it to connect. Cid bit down on is toothpick, snapping it in half as he took a second to calm himself after the smartly-dressed man compared him to the fat-ass Palmer. "PALMER?!! That fat f@%* can't even tie his own goddamn shoelaces without breaking his own friggin' ribs!!!"A familiar flash of light erupted from Cid's hand as he summoned his spear to him once more, quickly flipping the weapon around so the sharp point was aimed in Tseng's direction. Hopefully this will persuade the Turk not to draw his gun and fire upon him. [/blockquote]

Cid had a very strange sense of personal space. The pilot seemed to enjoy constantly getting in the Turks face. However, the Turk seemed completely un-phased by the whole gesture. He'd had Heidegger, Hojo, and Scarlet do it to him his entire career. Cid wasn't going to make a huge difference. Tseng kept a blank, yet slightly annoyed, expression through the whole ordeal. At least Tseng's rant had hit some nerve on the pilot.
The comment about Sector 6 made Tseng shake his head. "You don't know anything then, do you. Rufus wasn't even in Midgar most of his career as Vice President. So how could Rufus of given us the order? Exactly, his father did. I sort of wish that the entire terrorist cell had been crushed. However, you're blaming Rufus for his father. I think you're the one with the problem. You are just upset because ShinRa clipped your wings." Tseng kept an eye on Cid's hand. Something was going to happen and the Turk was going to be ready.
When Cid went off about how he was not part of ShinRa, Tseng felt a tinge of amusement. "Not part of ShinRa? You were part of it whether you want to admit it or not. You can't change the past." The irony in that statement was obvious.
"Yes, I am pretty sure we could have handled the situation. But remember, if we are nothing, then Avalanche is nothing now. The door swings both ways." Cid's fist moved to his hip as he continued again on Rufus. "I'm glad you see it my way." Tseng responded in the most sarcastic tone he could. No, Rufus wasn't a big hero. But they weren't giving him any credit.
That's when Tseng noticed Cid's arm movement. It seemed Cid was going to take a swing. But this it what the Turk was trained for! Any sudden attacks from an enemy. So, as Cid punched toward the Turk, Tseng shifted just out of reach, grabbed his arm, and twisted it behind his back before shoving the pilot away.
Tseng watched at Cid began a rant about Palmer now. It seemed comparing Cid to the greasy Palmer was extremely successful. But, Tseng didn't bother Cid with a real response. It was a good thing because the moment Tseng noticed the glow of the spear, Tseng had drawn his gun and placed it to Cid's head. "Go ahead, Highwind. Give me a reason to kill you." Tseng didn't sound exactly pleased about saying it, but he did.
It had been a good few years since he had to kill an actual person. But, he'd willingly kill the pilot if the man was a threat to Rufus or any of the Turks. Tseng didn't want to be here let alone kill the Avalanche member. He had more important things to do like find Rufus. Ugh, maybe he should have taken Valentine up on that ride to meet Cloud. It would have saved a lot of effort.

Cid was actually amused by how the situation was turning out. He highly doubted that anyone would really miss Tseng so taking him out here and now would be nothing but an advantage for him and AVALANCHE. This truce was a waste of time anyway so killing the leader of the Turks now would put the others into disarray and hopefully keep them out of AVALANCHE's and the Restoration Committee's way. The pilot just chuckled as he glared at the Turk. "Defendin' the man who tried to kill the planet doesn't put you on a terribly high rung of the ladder, y'know? Rufus is just as bad as his old man an' you know it. Typical. Even Reno has more sense then you do." Cid said, keeping his distance to Tseng at a minimal, giving the Turk no other place to look other then into the dragoon's eyes. "An' Shin-Ra clipped my wings? You shouldn't fuel your own ego like that Tseng. You didn't exactly do the worlds greatest job of stoppin' me when I stole the Highwind back, eh? And what about now? I even have the Shera, a brand new airship that had no involvement from you or your pathetic boss. That makes it 2-nil to me in the wings department." Cid said with a smirk as he took a step back away from the Turk.
"I haven't even agreed to this 'truce' crap yet. The Turks an' Shin-Ra have always been nothin'. AVALANCHE will always be better since we're at least making the world a better place. We fight the Heartless, defeated Sephiroth and Kadaj, saving Gaia twice. Protect the innocent, defend the weak. What do you do Tseng? Run around all day like some headless chicken because you can't even keep track of one little man? Pathetic Tseng. You're just pathetic. You don't even have any other Turks to help back you up. You're lost an' alone like some small child. Get some back-up before you attempt to talk little about us." Cid said calmly, still holding his smirk to mask the anger he felt from his rant moments before. Unfortunately though, his punch had missed and the pilot found himself with a gun placed against his forehead. The pilot just chuckled as he stabbed the blunt end of his spear into the ground and put his free hand upon his hip, watching the Turk with a fearless aura about him. "Go on then. Pull the trigger. Lets see if you're really the big man you claim to be. The Turks murdered countless people in the past right? What's one more gonna do? Fire. I dare you!" Cid said, challenging the Turk. The blond-haired pilot smirked as he stood his ground, waiting to see what Tseng was going to do. Cid knew very well that he alone had the means to help Tseng leave this world, so the bullet would never leave the end of Tseng's gun.
The Captain just shook his head from side to side, tutting a few times as he casually brought up his free hand off his hip and pushed the gun away from his face, before returning his eyes to the Turks. "I thought so. If you can't even kill one little man, what good would you have been against Kadaj's summon? Fly up there in a helicopter an' ask him nicely to stop? You're such a joke." Cid turned his back on the Turk and started to walk off towards the main street once more, where the residents of this world had already gotten back to their normal and busy life. A flash of light escaped from the pilot as his spear disappeared into nothingness, his hands then burying themselves into his pant pockets as he turned to walk around the corner and leave. However he stopped and glanced back in Tseng's direction. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your life here. I'm leavin' to go see Cloud and see whether or not your bu*@$&%# lies about this 'truce' or real or not. Try not to get a sunburn." With that, Cid vanished around the corner and proceeded to head towards the main exit of Argabah, where he would head out into the desert a far enough distance from the town to call down the Shera.
