The Shadow Heartless went down with Jecht’s attack and no more appeared to take their place. Fang scanned the room, but found it completely empty of threats. Feeling good inwardly, she relaxed. Her good mood was dampened a bit by Jecht’s nagging, but she didn’t let it bring her down too much. She turned slightly to Jecht with a nodded.
“I haven’t forgotten. Which is why we should hurry away from here before our shadow does show up again,” she said to Jecht and then looked over to Vanille who was still standing by the wall. Their eyes met and for a moment Fang felt a ting of doubt fill her. She began to question what she and Jecht had just saved, but then the young lady’s face broke into a genuine smile. There was no mistaking it. This person was Vanille. Just as doubt washed away, Vanille came over to Fang and hugged her tightly. The move was so like Vanille, so real that the older woman dropped her guard as she returned the hug.
“Fang! I’m so happy you came when you did. I wasn’t sure if I was going to survive against those strange monsters that appeared,” Vanille said in a voice full of genuine relief and happiness.
“I’m glad we came when we did to. You don’t have to worry about being afraid anymore. Me and Jecht here are going to get you out of here,” Fang said as she comforted her friend. It was so good to see her safe and sound again. It never did cross the woman’s mind that this Vanille wasn't real. She was completely lost in her happiness.
Now let’s pause for a moment and look at the situation at hand. Fang’s back was to Jecht, but “Vanille’s” face could be seen clearly by Jecht. As the younger of the two tightened her hug, she would speak.
“Yes. I am safe now,” she would say in that voice that easily fooled Fang; however, for Jecht, those green eyes of “Vanille’s” would open and slowly lock on him as she continued to hug her “friend”. As Jecht watched, a flicker of gold would pass through the eyes before they reverted to normal, signaling that whatever was hugging Fang was not human. A slow movement that Fang did not notice would come from "Vanille" as a dagger appeared in her hand. Slowly, it would be raised and aimed towards Fang’s back as “Vanille” gave Jecht a cruel smile…
Meanwhile that hidden Cheshire Cat clapped its paws together excitedly as it watched the events unfold. “Don’t you just love surprises?” the cat asked its guests with a mischievous grin on its face. The female chuckled lightly as she moved a bit closer to see the battle easier. The male, on the other hand, simply stayed where he was watching the situation, taking an interest in the thing that “Vanille” was becoming.

Jecht folded his arms and watched as Vanille hugged Fang. Maybe he was just getting more paranoid in his old age, but he still couldn't shake the feeling that the trap hadn't sprung yet. He also felt eyes watching him, but maybe, just maybe, that was also part of his paranoia. Yeah, and maybe shoopufs would grow tiny wings and fly. Jecht continued watching the two girls hug when he suddenly noted a strange gleam in her eye.
Her eye had shifted to gold. Like a Heartless.
Jecht's quick eye saw the dagger in Vanille's hand and if he wasn't fast enough, Fang would be the victim in the World's Worst Murder Mystery novel. Luckily, for her, Spira's best Blitzball player was on the case. He yelled out a "FANG! SHE'S A FAKE!", dashed at the two girls and blocked the dagger. He did this by interposing his hand in between the dagger and Fang's back. The dagger stabbed into his hand and Jecht let a grunt of pain. He then pulled Fang away, having enough strength to do so and then punched the Vanille look-alike in the stomach at full force. Whether she let go of the knife or not, Jecht made sure Fang saw what Vanille tried to kill her with. It would be hard to miss, since Jecht's hand was bleeding. He growled out of rage at being hurt, but he had dealt with worse.
"A Heartless pretendin' to be a friend. Now I've seen everything." Jecht's non-stabbed hand grabbed his sword and got ready for whatever this fake had in store. "Sorry about that. She was about to backstab you, literally." Then he looked at Fang and gave a smirk. "Maybe after all this, a summoner like you will be needin' a Guardian. To be fair, you're not going to find anyone else more qualified than me, bein' an ex-Guardian and all." Jecht winced a bit, both from the pain in his hand and from the fact that he revealed more about himself than he really wanted to in his fantastic display of arrogance. He then looked away from Fang and concentrated on the Fake Vanille, ready for whatever she had to dish out.
"Man, I am just hankerin' for some cat fur mittens."

A brief moment of happiness and then a shout from Jecht. Fang was just about to respond to him when two things happened at once. There was a grunt of pain from Jecht as she felt “Vanille” move slightly doing something behind her back, the move caused a slight bit of confusion and then she was being pulled away from “Vanille”. The woman stumbled back, trying to regain her balance. As soon as she did, she looked up just in time to see Jecht punch “Vanille” in the stomach as hard as he could. Perhaps if she wasn’t still in shock, she would’ve yelled at him. As she watch trough a fog, “Vanille” toppled over from the heavy blow, flipping head over heels as she went. There was a light clang as the dagger fell from the fake’s hand and met the floor. As the fake came to a rest some distance away, laying emotionlessly face down, Fang’s mind slowly caught up with what had happened. The dagger on the ground, Jecht’s bleeding hand, and his action…Vanille…she had tied to kill her? But why?
Despite Jecht’s words, her mind couldn’t wrap around the fact that this “Vanille” was not her friend. It looked and acted too much like her for his words to be true. As Fang’s eyes moved to the down girl, her shock began to wear off as the fake began to reveal its true self. It start with a laugh that at first matched Vanille’s and then slowly changed to something that was not human at all. Fang watched as the color melted away from Vanille leaving behind a shadowy form of the girl. The shadow then pushed itself off the ground as the rest of the color faded and the eyes became gold. With the true form revealed, the shock melted away from Fang and was replaced by fury.
When Jecht spoke again Fang shook her head with an apologetic smile. “I’m the one that should be apologizing. If I hadn’t let my guard down you wouldn’t have gotten hurt,” she said truly sorry that the whole ordeal had played out the way it did. To think that these Heartless could look like people you knew. If that was the case, then how would she know who her friends were and who weren’t. She closed her eyes for a moment. At this rate, she couldn’t trust anything or anyone except Jecht. It was hard for her to think this way, but if this Heartless could change form, what was to say there weren’t others out there that could do the same? The thought wasn’t encouraging, but in light of the facts did she really have any choice to think any other way? She opened her eyes as Jecht spoke his next set of words. To this the distress she felt melted as she smirked back at him despite the words not making sense to her. She noticed the wince and wondered what that was about; however, she decided she could question him later.
“You think your experience can keep me out of trouble?” she asked her words not denying she could indeed summon something. She moved her weapon into an attack position and focus on the fake Vanille. “You are welcome to try it.”
The fake Vanille watched the exchange before pulling out a shadowy form of Vanille’s weapon and lowering itself into a position that mimicked Vanille exactly. Fang gritted her teeth at this. How was it these creature could do this? When she heard Jecht’s last comment, she nodded.
“If you kill the cat, I’ll make them for ya. Who knows maybe we can get a scraf out of that furball too” she said and then there was no time for chatting as the shadowy Vanille moved into action. The first move was a simply physical attack as Shadow Vanille hopped forward swinging her weapon towards them. The strange ends of the weapon extended towards Fang causing the woman to jump back to avoid getting whapped by the weapon. Following the physical attack, Shadow Vanille jumped back and attempted to cast Thunder on Jecht before moving again. Fang checked on Jecht to make sure he was okay before making her move against the shadow. Moving forward, she made a powerful horizontal swing at the shadow and followed it up with a stab…
Meanwhile, the Cheshire Cat and its guests watched the battle intently. The female of the group was jumping up and down excitedly about the battle and the discovery of the strange Heartless while the cat chuckled at what was happening. The male, who had seemed bored up until now, raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the strange Heartless that had appeared on the field. The creature seemed like a good tool for their purpose, but how to go about getting one for themselves was another matter all together. Well until they figured the answer out, the male simply took notes on the strange and interesting Heartless. _____________________________________________________ !!Boss Battle!! Jecht looked to Fang and saw the concern on her face. He then shrugged and said, "Don't beat yourself up. I barely saw it coming in time. Besides, the hand'll get better and I've had worse injuries. Right now, we need to beat this imposter to the ground and find that cat!" Jecht then chuckled at Fang's next words. "Please, I can't even keep myself out of trouble on a good day." Jecht then prepared for Anti-Vanille's attacks, which it did with gusto.
The imposter attacked Fang first, who decided not to get damaged. Jecht, however, was not fast enough to dodge the Thunder spell. He got hit by the shock and stumbled back, his body smoking a bit. He saw Fang check on him and he shook his head, nodding at Anti-Vanille. It was basically a non-verbal message that said, "Don't worry about me, concentrate on the enemy." As Fang attacked Anti-Vanille, Jecht ran around to put Anti-Vanille in a pincer attack. After that, he did a horizontal slice with his sword, followed by a vertical one. These were then followed by another big punch and finishing up with a headbutt. He wanted this battle finished quickly before this imposter decided to shapeshift into anything else. As such, he jumped back and prepared Triumphant Grasp, his free hand burning with an awesome power.

Jecht’s words brought comfort to the woman and then a smile appeared as she heard his response to her earlier comment about keeping her out of trouble. In any case, chatting aside, Jecht did get hit by the Thunder spell much to Fang’s displeasure. When she checked on him and saw his reaction, she reluctantly obeyed the silent communication and focused back on Anti-Vanille. As she made her attack, the creature jumped back from her first blow and swung its weapon down to block the second blow causing those strange tips to lash out again. This time Fang wasn’t so lucky in avoiding damage. As the tips went zooming forward, she tried to get away, but due to closeness the dodge was not successful. As she pulled back, the sharp tipped rushed passed her face cutting her cheek slightly before biting into her arm and shoulder. The injuries were painful, but minor, so the woman was not concerned for herself as she jumped back a bit and changed up her tactics for this creature.
Meanwhile, Jecht had decided to attack from another angle. Being focused on Fang, the first strike Jecht made struck home. With a hiss the Heartless hopped forward causing the vertical swing to miss as it turned to face Jecht. It saw the punch coming and avoided the blow; however, the headbutt that followed caught the creature fully, causing it to stagger back. As soon as it staggered back, it felt a sharp pain as Fang’s staff found it’s mark from behind. Growling the creature tried to retaliate, but instead found itself flung into the air as Fang used Launchon it. As it went into the air, Fang followed, doing a combo of four strikes against it before letting it fall back to the ground for extra damage. Fang landed in a crouch before standing up to prepare for whatever the creature would do next. As for Anti-Vanille, she was far from giving up. She stood back up and tried to maintain regain her balance. She seemed to be a bit stunned from the fall.
As the battle continued, the hidden guests and Cheshire continued to watch the battle intently to see how it would end. ________________________________

(Pffft, like I can complain about short posts.)
Jecht was glad at the hits Anti-Vanille was taking. It meant that, in the end, she was just another Heartless like all the rest. Probably a bit tougher and certainly meaner, but just beatable as the rest of them. It was also possible that the rush of battle was getting to Jecht's head again, but when was that not a possibility? Jecht launched forward after he finished charging Triumphant Grasp, grabbing the stunned Anti-Vanille and pushing her along with the energy in his hand by releasing portions of it, which exploded almost immediately. After a couple seconds of this hellish conveyor belt, he released all the energy in his arm in one huge explosion, intending on sending Anti-Vanille flying into the opposite wall.
"Alright, time for some a fireworks display of my own!" Jecht yelled as he summoned a meteor in preparation for his Ultimate Jecht Shot. He then jumped into the air and threw it at Anti-Vanille, hoping she was too dazed after the Triumphant Grasp to dodge it in time. He then landed on the ground and took a few moments to catch his breath. "Take that, you imposter jerk!" Jecht said, thumbing his nose and smiling. He knew he probably wouldn't be quite that victorious, but it was the little things that counted.

It was disappointing to watch how easily this upper level Heartless was being pounded on by two mere humans. As the Cheshire and the female guest watched, the male frowned displeased with the outcome. If this Heartless was easily beaten, then perhaps it was a waste of time to go searching for another like it. In any case, the Cheshire Cat sensed the displeasure of the male and turned to him with a smile. “Don’t get upset yet. Just keep watching. The show is only going to get better,” the cat said with a chuckle. The male did not say anything in response or changed his displeased expression. Instead, he did what the cat suggested. He watched and waited to see if the creature would prove its usefulness.
Back on the battlefield, Anti-Vanille was getting a beating. Jecht’s first powerful move was successful in damaging the creature and sending her across the room. As the creature slammed into the opposite wall, it slumped a bit as if it was tired. Then seeing the next attack coming, the creature dove to the side causing the meteor to crash into the wall. As the creature tried to make an attack, it found itself in pain once more as a wide horizontal swing from Fang managed to hit home. The creature was knocked to the side, but it quickly recovered and cast Water at Fang. Being an almost point blank shot, the water spell hit Fang directly in the stomach and sent the L’Cie stumbling back slightly winded. While Fang was recovering, the creature hopped towards Jecht, cutting the distance between them in half before swing her weapon at him. There was the distinct cracking of the tips lashing out at the target, but whether or not the hit was successful was yet to be seen. In any case, Anti-Vanille did not let up on her attack as she spun that weapon towards Fang, the tips reaching out for flesh once more.
Fang barely got away from the blow as she continued to recover from the blow to the stomach. As she hopped back, Anti-Vanille turned her attention to Jecht again and attempted to cast Aero on the man. While the creature was attacking, Fang moved forward, hopping into the air as she got close to the creature. She came down upon the creature spear first hoping to impale the blasted thing when she came down. She wanted to destroy the creature just as quickly as Jecht did, but the fear of the creature morphing was not on her mind. No her fear came from something much worse than a simple morph… _____________________________________________________________________________________________ !!Boss Battle!!

Jecht was disappointed that his Ultimate Jecht Shot didn't connect, but he did enough damage with Triumphant Grasp that it didn't really matter much. If he didn't have someone else helping out, he'd probably be feeling a bit more disappointed... and a bit more injured now that he thought of it. Luckily, Fang was a really good fighter, so Jecht didn't have to worry about getting too badly hurt. Unfortunately, as the fake Vanille hit Fang with a Water spell at point blank range, Jecht had to worry about others getting hit now. Jecht yelled Fang's name and tried to rush to her aid when Anti-Vanille whipped him right in the leg with her weapon and man, did it sting. It helped matters less when she cast the Aero spell at Jecht. The wind cut into Jecht's flesh as he braced himself against it and caused the wound in his hand to expand a little, sending pain through his body. He grunted, but didn't let the pain show on his face or at least tried to. His stubbornness was kicking in and he wasn't about to make Fang worry. Besides, he had dealt with worse. Jecht charged at the imposter again, carrying his sword over his shoulder, his determination kindled by rage at his friend being raged.
"Hey, you Heartless freak! No one hits ladies and gets away with it when I'm around!" Jecht yelled, hoping to distract the imposter long enough to keep her from hitting Fang with that weapon of hers. And if yelling really loudly didn't work, Jecht had enough trick he could use that would probably do a better job of distracting her. Jecht rammed his forehead against Anti-Vanille's own as hard as he could. He then tried to sweep her legs out from under her, before punching her into the ground. Not satisfied with that, Jecht swing his sword upwards to try and send Anti-Vanille up in the air before jumping and kicking her back towards the ground again. He then landed, hopped backwards a bit and started charging for his Jecht Blade attack. Jecht was wounded and hurting, but there was a fiery determination in his eyes that let the Heartless know that for him to back down, the Heartless would have to kill him and be really sure about it.

The cat was right to wait. As Anti-Vanille’s took damage from the two humans, it paid them back in full. The woman on the field had been hit by a water attack and had barely dodged a physical attack from the creature. Slowly, the woman was recovering from the blow, but the man on the field was taking a beating. He had tried to go to the woman, but instead was struck across the legs by the whip like weapon the creature wielded, stopping him in his tracks. On top of this, the smell of human blood was light in the air, but the pair hidden with the cat could smell it well. His hand had been hurt earlier and only got more damaged as the strange wind spell hit him and caused the wound in his hand to grow. As the cat and the female guest watched chuckling and on edge to see what happened next, the male’s frown vanished slightly as the creature began to prove itself. Maybe it would be worth an extra look into this particular creature. The battle only turned more interesting as both parties began to show even more of their skills.
Back on the battlefield, Fang had recovered from the blow to the stomach thanks to Jecht successfully distracting the shadow like creature with his shout. As the creature turned to him, it was met with a headbutt that successfully hit the creature, dazing it long enough for him knock it to the ground with the sweeping kick and pound upon it with a punch. The upward swing of his sword was also successful and was able to launch the creature in the air allowing Jecht to perform his own aerial attack upon the creature. As it crashed back to the ground, it remain down for a few moments not moving. Taking advantage of this, Fang ran up to the creature and attempted to stab it in the chest, but the creature was more agile than she had thought.
Upon seeing the attack coming, Anti-Vanille rolled out of the way causing her staff to bury itself slightly in the ground instead. Growling, Fang pursued the retreating creature stabbing out at it to cover the distance. While she managed to hit the creature with the attack, the blow was not enough to take it down. Hopping back, the creature looked at them before…stomping its foot and throwing what appeared to be a tantrum as it jumped in place for a moment. The behavior change was odd, but to Fang it was a warning sign of something much worse. Trying to stop the next set of events, Fang tried to attack the Anti-Vanille, but it was too late. The creature did the familiar movements causing a shadowy version of the summon symbol to appear on the ground. Before Fang knew it, her worse fear had become a reality. Instead of facing just Anti-Vanille, now they were facing a shadowy version of her summon — Hecatoncheir. Knowing they would not survive against the big guy alone, Fang did the only thing she could think of to counter such a summon.
“So you want to play like that, eh? Well then, let me even the battlefield!” Fang growled angrily at the shadow’s show of power.
Throwing away worry about what questions her next action might raise, she took a moment to concentrate. She pulled out that purple fang like crystal that resided within her and then breaking it summoned her own Eidoldon, Bahamut. As the giant came crashing down onto the field, it immeadiately put its focus on the injured Jecht casting Curga on the man before focusing on the other giant that was making an attack. Careful not to crush its allies, Bahamut met Hecatoncheir halfway and the two giants began to struggle against each other.
With Bahamut distracting the other summon, Fang focused on Anti-Vanille’s next move. They needed to end this quickly. ________________________________________________________________________________________

As charged his blade, he saw Anti-Vanille that he really, REALLY wished he hadn't seen. Of course, he probably should've seen it coming, what with the knowledge of Fang being a summoner. But Vanille, too? That made things all sorts of not good. "She can summon Aeons, too?! Greeeat. I really need to get in touch with whoever controls my life, because they clearly suck at it." Why did he even assume this thing would fight fair? Jecht looked at the being he called an Aeon and saw that it had way too many limbs and looked almost like a machina from Spira, except... alive somehow. He wasn't ready to fight an Aeon, but luckily, Fang had his back as she summoned what looked like Bahamut. Sure, it was different in a lot of ways, but it was definitely Bahamut. Jecht remembered Braska using it too many times to mistake that mug. And he thanked whoever was looking out for him that Bahamut was on his side, especially after his wounds started healing. However, now Jecht had to make a decision. There was no way he could fight Hekatonchier and Anti-Vanille as well. However, he knew Bahamut could take care of both of them and Fang could take care of Anti-Vanille. She just needed to not be flanked by the "Aeon". Unfortunately, Jecht wasn't sure he wanted to do what he knew he had to do to help Fang do that. If he did that, there would be a lot of questions afterwards and Fang might even try to fight Jecht. He really didn't want it to come to that. He liked her, as a friend, of course and he truly wanted to help her find her friends. He sighed and nodded to himself once. He decided he'd prefer Fang alive than for him to be liked. Guess that's what happens when you were once Sin. Jecht thought, before turning to the l'Cie. "Oi, Fang! I'm gonna distract the Aeon... thing. You hit the Heartless with everything you got, got me? Don't let up! And for God's sake, don't try to stop me! You'll just get yourself hurt, alright?"Jecht then turned towards the Hekatonchier Heartless and glared at it, as if he was trying to stare it down. "Alright, ya miserable punk. You're about to find out why people don't like me when I'm angry! YOU TICKED OFF THE WRONG FINAL AEON!" Jecht then planted his sword into the ground, which was still blazing with Jecht's Aura. He then crossed his arms in front of him and gathered energy. Fang and everyone else in the room would feel something, like ambient energy, being drawn towards Jecht. He then spread his arms and it felt like the room exploded. His Aura had changed from a warm glow to a raging torrent of fiery light. In front of Fang, Jecht changed into his Final Aeon Form and she would immediately see why he had spikes. Jecht's hair turned from a black to a snow-white, as did the tattoo on his chest The spikes covering his right leg and left shoulder grew larger and more spikes grew up and around his waist and up his back, connected the other two spots. His armored arm practically disappeared, replaced with armored skin. In fact, his skin had taken on a harder, darker texture. Something, like a snake, wrapped around Jecht's neck like a scarf. His hands and feet were more claw-like and talon-like, respectively, and when the others could see them, his teeth had turned into fangs. Finally, his blazing sword had more intricate designs. His energy even felt like the other Eidolons in the room. "This is the end. Don't disappoint me." Jecht growled, deeper and more of a growl than a normal speaking voice. He then took up his sword and charged at Hekatonchier. It was immediately apparent that the physical change was far more than merely cosmetic. He was much faster than before and unleashed Jecht Blade right in Hekatonchier's face. He was also far stronger than before, which was to be expected from the Final Aeon. After unleashing Jecht Blade, he landed next to Bahamut, looked up at the Eidolon and nodded at him. Jecht then got in front of Hekatonchier, stomped his foot into the ground, creating a minature crater and got into stance, ready for Hekatonchier's next attack and letting the Heartless know that it'd have to get through him first. ------ OoC Note: If only Fang could hear this music start up.Jecht Blade: Cooldown - Two Rounds Triumphant Grasp: Ready to use! As the battle continued, Fang heard Jecht’s words, but knew this was not the time to explain herself or her friends. Right now they needed to get rid of Anti-Vanille before she and her summon decided to work together and cause more chaos. Bahamut was indeed helpful in stalling this, but how long he could hold the other summon off was beyond the woman. She wasn’t sure if this Hecatoncheir was like her friend’s or if something extra had been added to the shadow like beast. Bahamut was strong, but there was only so much he could do alone. Still, the larger creature had brought them time, so she would use every moment of the time to beat down the shadow of her friend. She was on the edge of focusing on the smaller creature, when she heard Jecht speak again. He was going to distract the Aeon? Aeon? Hecatoncheir? How was he going to distract that creature? To distract an Eidolon, he’d have to be able to summon one himself. A mere person against the creature was nothing. It could easily wipe an army of humans out. Sure, Bahamut would protect him if he did go charging recklessly into the battle with the giant, but still it was suicide! He told her not to stop him, but she couldn’t help it. She took one step forward to stop him, but froze as Jecht yelled out something and then began to change before her eyes. The earlier question of whether Jecht was human or not was answered as the man became a creature with claws, fangs, spikes and snake like armored skin. The sight was shocking and perhaps terrifying to some. For Fang the scene froze her for a moment, the shock eventually wore off as the sting of the creature’s weapon hit her in the arm snapping her back to reality. “Gah!” Fang growled as her eyes locked furiously on the shadow. Tossing shock and questions away for the moment, Fang focused on Anti-Vanille and moved forward with a series of four blows. The first was the powerful horizontal swing known as Blitz. While Anti-Vanille hopped away, Fang did not give her the chance to counter as she step forward, stabbing out her staff and then swinging it around to bring it down upon the creature’s head. The blows were successful causing the creature to double over before the creature crashed face first into the ground. Without stopping, Fang leaped into the air and came down hard upon the creature hoping to impale it with the powerful blow. Anti-Vanille tried to roll away, but she was not fast enough. The creature let out a screech of pain as Highwind hit it full. Fang hopped back as the creature swiped out at her legs with its weapon before getting up again and casting Thunder at her. Fang danced out of the way and moved in for another attack. Meanwhile, Hecatoncheir was having a bit of trouble with two creatures after it. Bahamut’s earlier attack was easily countered as the creature side stepped the swipe and moved in with its own attack. The physical blow caused Bahamut to step back, but what Hecatoncheir was not expecting was the attack from Jecht that whacked it right across the face. Growling and staggering back, the creature moved back even further and then attempted to use Force Projection on Jecht. As it attacked, Bahamut leaned forward unconcerned about Jecht harming it or its master. As it leaned forward, the creature opened its mouth and unleashed Inferno upon the other Eidolon and Anti-Vanille if she got in the way. It seemed even Bahamut was trying to end this battle quickly for one reason or another. __________________________________________________________________ !!Boss Battle!!Anti-Vanille: HP: 10 Thunder: A bolt a lightning comes down and attempts to hit the target. If sucessful the target takes minor physical and shock damage. It has a slim chance of paralyzing the target. It takes 1 post for the creature to reuse it. Eidolon Summon: Hecatoncheir: Anti-Vanille has summoned a shadow like summon of the real thing. Hurry and defeat the summoner before the creatures can do any serious damage!!! HP: 16 (It started with 20, but I forgot to put it there. ^^ Counter: Hecatoncheir will evade a blow and then counter with a physical blow that does moderate damage upon contact. It takes 2 posts to reuse this.~Cooldowns~[/u] Eidolon Summon: Bahamut: A fang like crystal comes out of the brand on Fang’s shoulder. Tossing the purple crystal in the air, she calls Bahamut’s name activating the crystal and unleashing the summon. Bahamut is a giant humanoid mechanical dragon that uses its powerful claws and attacks to tear down its foes. When summoned he lasts for 5 posts before he disappears. Curga: Bahamut will cast Curga on Fang or an ally. The spell appears as a green fire that heals upon contact. It heals most wounds and gives a large portion of energy back. It takes 1 posts for him to reuse this.Inferno: Leaning down to better hit the target, Bahamut opens its mouth and unleashes a strong fiery breath upon the victim. Since Bahamut has the tendency to swing his head when he does this, the flame goes a couple of feet to either side, aiming to burn anything caught in the fire. Bahamut sometimes uses this after using whirlwind to cause even more damage to his airborne target. Those hit by Inferno take moderate to heavy burn damage. The closer you are to him when the attack happens, the more damage it does to you. Also if you are caught in the whirlwind before you will end up taking heavy damage from the combined attacks and the fall that follows. It takes 2 posts to reuse this.Blitz: Fang will swing her lance out in a wide horizontal swing. The swing attempts to hit her target and any enemies within range of the lance. It deals moderate damage to whatever is hit fully by the blow. It takes 1 post to reuse this.Highwind: This is Fang’s special attack. Jumping high into the air, Fang will come down upon a target attempting to impale them on the end of her lance. If hit fully, the target takes massive damage as the lance hits them and unleashes an explosion from impact. The explosion spreads out doing damage to any other enemy nearby. The closer you are to Fang when she does this, the more damage is done to you. If a target tries to escape, there is a high chance that the impact explosion will hit them since it is an area attack and the explosion will happen as soon as her lance makes contact with a target or the ground. There is also a high chance of nearby enemies getting knocked over from the impact explosion. Fang only will use this twice in battle with a 5 post cooling period between each use.

Jecht was now completely focused on the Aeon Heartless as Bahamut tried to burn it to a crisp. After the fire died down, Jecht charged at the many-armed Heartless, jumped up to its face and then aimed a punch right at its face, before aiming two kicks at its chest and finishing it up with a vertical slice from his sword. Jecht then looked over to see Anti-Vanille and his rage at one of his friends being betrayed quickly took hold of him. He charged again, ran a little past Anti-Vanille and aimed a kick at her at full strength, intending to send her flying right into her own summon. Jecht then turned to look at Fang.
Jecht was ashamed that he had to resort to this and that he... well, not lie, but he didn't exactly come forward with the information. It was hard to tell from Jecht's face, since it seemed to be permenantly set into a rage-induced glower. Of course, Jecht's gaze from Fang to the enemies probably looked a little forced. Jecht then stood in between Fang and Hekatonchier. He wasn't worried about Anti-Vanille, considering she could use magic to get around Jecht, anyways. Hekatonchier, on the other hand, had one hundred too many fists with which to pummel Fang into a fine mush.

Things were getting heated up pretty fast as the field became a hectic mess to keep up with; however, this did not seem to sway the cat’s or its guests’ interest in the battle. As the female and the cat watched and chuckled about the events, the young man remained quiet focusing on one thing and then another on the battlefield as he took notes on both sides.
First, Hecatoncheir screeched in pain almost in unison with Anti-Vanille as Inferno hit them both. Trying to recover from the blow, Hecatoncheir was about to make an attack on Fang, but Jecht got in the way. The first punch was blocked as the creature sought to defend itself from a repeated blow. Jecht’s fist would meet the solid arms of the creature as it made its guard. From there the arms blocked one kick, but the second broke its guard allowing the sword to slip into the slight opening and hit the creature. Growling, the creature rushed forward at Jecht making physical swipes at him before jumping back and using a powerful Hurricane Kick on the pair the group.
Not wanting to see anyone hurt, Bahamut moved between its allies and the blow taking the worse part of it for them. While the Eidolon was hit it didn’t seemed to be damaged severely as it stepped forward and made a swipe at Hecatoncheir. The other Eidolon moved to meet Bahamut. With a crash, the pair met and struggled for a bit for the upper hand. If they weren’t careful they could crush their smaller allies, but thankfully Bahamut somehow kept in mind where his allies were as he did his best to push the large creature away from Fang and Jecht.
Meanwhile, Anti-Vanille had recovered from the earlier burn as her summon made its powerful kick over her head. The kick would’ve knocked everyone over if it was successful; however, Bahamut had ruined most of the attack and all the wind part of the attack did was stop Fang’s charge for a second. Taking advantage of this, Anti-Vanille went in for an attack, but much like her summon had found, she would find herself interrupted.
As she saw a kick coming at her she tried to hop out of the way, but was still clipped by the blow causing the creature to roll away. As it was recovering, Fang caught Jecht’s almost apologetic look. It was not written on his face, but was locked away in his eyes. He seemed to be apologizing about hiding this form from her… Something she got a feeling did not have a happy story behind it. While she was certainly curious about the back story to this man like creature, Fang knew this was not the time to be distracted. Giving Jecht a nod to let him know it was okay, the eye contact was broken as Jecht turned to face the Eidolon once more making himself a barrier between her and the creature.
Grateful once more that Jecht was on her side, she moved in on Anti-Vanille quickly as it stood up. A stab followed by a horizontal swing and a vertical slam. The moves came so quickly at the creature that it barely had time to react and ended up on the ground again. There was a crashing sound a Hecatoncheir got knocked over from its struggle with Bahamut. Free of the other Eidolon for a moment Bahamut moved over to Anti-Vanille and raised its hand over her as a blue flame appeared. Once charged the flame would fall down on Anti-Vanille attempting to hit her and anything else that got away.
While Bahamut was focused on this, Hecatoncheir got up and tried to move in quietly to get in a sneak attack upon Bahamut. ____________________________________________________________________
!!Boss Battle!!
Anti-Vanille:
HP: 5
Eidolon Summon: Hecatoncheir: Anti-Vanille has summoned a shadow like summon of the real thing. Hurry and defeat the summoner before the creatures can do any serious damage!!!
HP: 12
Hurricane Kick: A powerful low sweeping kick that seeks to hit everyone and everything within the range. The kick itself does moderate to heavy damage depending on how much of the kick hits someone. The winds that follow are strong enough to stop most things in their tracks and sometimes can knock someone down. it takes 2 posts for it to reuse this.
~Cooldowns~[/u]
Eidolon Summon: Bahamut: A fang like crystal comes out of the brand on Fang’s shoulder. Tossing the purple crystal in the air, she calls Bahamut’s name activating the crystal and unleashing the summon. Also if you are caught in the whirlwind before you will end up taking heavy damage from the combined attacks and the fall that follows. It takes 1 posts to reuse this.
Ignis: Bahamut will move close to a target and raise his hand over it. As he does this a ball of blue flame will appear in his clawed hand. Once his hand is over the target, he will attempt to drop the blue flame upon the target. If hit, the target will suffer from moderate fire damage. Also this attack spreads out a couple of feet when it hits the ground making it dangerous to nearby enemies. Nearby enemies hit by it will take light burn damage when hit. It takes 1 post to reuse this.

Jecht growled and, if Bahamut took most of the Hurricane Kick for the duo, he took the rest of the attack for Fang. He roared, angered at being hit by this stupid hundred-handed monster. He then charged at Hekatoncheir and leapt past Bahamut to get at the many-handed beast. "You're outta luck!" Jecht yelled, as he slashed at Hekatonchier, beginning his Blitz King attack. He then kicked Hekatonchier in the air and in an instant, Jecht was up in the air, above Hekatonchier. He then kicked him back down to the ground and followed that up with by trying to skewer Hekatonchier with his sword and then using it as a boost to jump higher. In the air, there was a huge meteor, even bigger than the one he used for Ultimate Jecht Shot. Jecht kicked it once, cracking the meteor. He then kicked it again and sent the pieces homing right at Hekatonchier.
As the Final Aeon fell, Jecht reverted back to his normal form, albeit still with his usual spikes. The Blitz King attack sapped much of the energy he used to maintain his Final Aeon form. Jecht landed, looking rather exhausted as he went to his knees, panting heavily. Jecht slowly got to his feet, suddenly feeling the pain from the earlier Hurricane Kick flaring. Jecht growled, clearly rather cranky. He ignored Hekatonchier now. If Blitz King didn't beat him, then he doubt he'd last much when Jecht got finished with the summoner and even if what he had planned didn't work, Hekatonchier and Anti-Vanille still had to go through Fang and Bahamut. No pressure. Jecht summoned another meteor and jumped up, hoping this would hit. Jecht then used Ultimate Jecht Shot again, throwing the giant meteor at Anti-Vanille and if he was lucky, Hekatonchier.

Anti-Vanille was tiring from the battle, but would not go down. She tried to begin her special attack that would’ve allowed her to team up with Hecatoncheir, but Fang was not about to let that happen. As the Heartless tried to jump away to get distance, Fang moved forward and caught the creature’s leg.
“Oh no you don’t!” she said, pulling the creature back to the ground. Screeching the creature crashed into the ground and a second later was being burned by Bahamut’s flames. The shadow summon managed to dance out range of the spreading flames, but it could not avoid Jecht’s attack. As it turned to the sound of Jecht’s voice, the creature was hit by the first kick that launched into the air. Before it could recover, Jecht was attacking it again, this time sending it to the hard ground below. Growling, the larger shadow tried to get up; however, the raining meteors from above kept the creature down. Taking advantage of the down creature, Bahamut lashed out at the creature with its claws before moving back and casting Curga once more on Jecht as the man landed and fell to his kness before rising once more.
Hecatoncheir attempted to get up again, but instead froze where it was with a strange screech of pain escaping its lips…although it had not been hit by anything else. The reason for this was the defeat of Anti-Vanille. As Jecht used his attack upon her, the meteor struck home this time, knocking the creature into the wall. It tried to still attack, but Fang’s staff ended the creature as the blade went through the creature’s chest. There was a light scream of pain and then both the summon and Anti-Vanille vanished in a puff of smoke. Fang remained still for a while as she let the adrenaline seep out of her. They had won without the creature doing too much damage. Sure, she was hurting and exhausted, but at least she was alive. Taking a breath, she relaxed as she turned to Jecht and headed over to him.
“How ya hanging?” she asked. She had noticed the man fall to the ground earlier, but at the time could not check on him. Now with the battle over, she had the time she needed to make a quick check of everything. Seeing no more threats, Bahamut hopped into the air before vanishing to wherever it had come from. For the moment, they were alone in the room.
Meanwhile still hidden, the cat and its guests watched the pair quietly for a moment.
“Well, that is the end of that. I guess I’ll have to keep my end of the bargin then and show them the way out,” the cat told its guests and then excusing itself it vanished for the moment. The two guests on the other hand lingered for a while longer, discussing what they had seen in quiet voices then making an agreement on something they sunk further into the darkness they were in and seemed to vanish from the world, leaving Jecht and Fang with the cat. __________________________________________________________________
Boss battle has ended and Bahamut has been dismissed and cannot be summoned again for this thread.
Now all that is left is the cat…hehehe…
